Arriving on the island, Phantom looked around and smiled. It was nice to be out of that classroom. Too bad he only had Ciel as company. He began walking further into the desert to see if he could spot any Pokemon.

Though the sound of the helicopter taking off would almost drown out the warning hiss ...as an Ekan's head popped up from the sands. A bit of sand would tumble form it's body ....as it's eyes glowed with it's hatred of it's situation.
It hated that loud noise, it hated the fact that it brought those humans, and it hated even more then they tries to leave and discovered that their way home had quite literally flown away.

[No problem, I do it all the time myself.]
The Houndour would miss as it slide on it's own chin in the sands. It whirled quickly as it's paws would touch lightly on the ground, and he would growl out dangerously ...as he turns to face what he knew would be incoming attack. He hated this ...this failure, this weakness and the fact that his pack was watching it all.
He wanted to tear the pokemon apart, but there was nothing that he could do about it.

Phantom turned and looked at the hissing snake and grinned evilly. "May your blood cover the ground I walk on, serpent. Ciel, Teach it a lesson." He said as his candle Pokemon seemingly hopped out from his cloak. Ciel landed in the sand with a dull thud and smirked. "Pathetic snake, standing in our way. MOVE!" The Ekan's head whips around as he heard that challenge, and his tongue flicks out of his mouth. His head would move from one side to another ....as it's eyes shone with malice at the tone as it hisses back to the ghost. Phantom at this moment would only hear the Ekannssss ...as it spoke.

The snake hisses loudly as it lunges forwards with a Poison Fang.

Ciel inhaled sharply, grinning widely. He decided that he would attack and would wait until the Pokemon was but a single strike away before blasting out the purple flames he intended to shoot out. "Think before you speak, because before long, you won't realize that I stole your soul."
Phantom stood back and watched the Pokemon talk. He couldn't understand a word of what either were saying but the battle would be interesting.

Arlie's foot would come into contact with her first pokemon as she would feel something push against her foot. A brown pokemon the same color as the sand ....head stood just a few feet out of the ground as the sandshrew that had been digging about found itself in a very strange situation.
A bit of a vein in her head throb at the contact that she decided wasn't right to being with as she looks upwards at her opponent with a glare in her eyes.

The flames would catch him in the mouth as he screams loudly ...a she was knocked backwards into the ground. His body withering in flames as he would raise his head and simply hisses .....because there was no way he could speak again with his throat so badly burned by the embers. The pain made it's eyes water ...as the the pokemon simply tries to curl away from the flame ghost.
He had started off talking, but it was hard to tell from the burns if the snake would ever burn again ....as tears leaked from it's eyes as it started to actually slip in bits of sand into his maw to try and cool it off. The pokemon would only defend now.

The Houndour would be caught this time by the attack ...as he was thrown backwards a bit by the pokemon's rage. And it seemed that it was only getting stronger as he snorted angrily and clamber back to his paws. He wasn't going to lose ...he wasn't going to lose as he open his maw and spew another ember towards the pokemon. His ears were press against his skull as he tries to literally burn his opponent ...in the face as he aimed his attack as surely as he possibly could.

Breaking free of the earth the Sandshrew would draw his claws from the earth ....as he rushes towards his opponent at full speed. His plan was quite clear he was going to scratch his opponent as he jumped with his claws out at the ghost only to realize a horrible situations a moment too short.
A ghost type couldn't be hurt by a pokemon with normal attacks.

Arlie smirked. The Sandshrew had made a mistake. But she'd have LuLu try to dodge the attack anyway and try to get into position to counter-attack. "Avoid that, LuLu!" She called.

The litwick wouldn't be able to avoid it, but because of it's type advantage ...it wouldn't matter as claws went through him. The sandshrew would tilt on it's paws as it whirls around to face it's opponent ....as it drew it's claws up in it's defense.
This wasn't a fight it could win, and the Sandshrew already had one plan in mind. To literally run away.

Arlie shrugged. So LuLu hadn't been able to dodge the attack. It didn't matter. All that mattered now was that it was their turn to attack. "Use Ember, LuLu!" She ordered.
The Litwick nodded and sprang into the air, shaking her head and violently spraying flames towards the Sandshrew.

Phantom's eyes glowed with excitement as he watched the Pokemon writhe in pain. Laughing loudly and manically, the boy ordered Ciel to finish it off by any means.
Ciel inhaled again and waited until the heat from his candle became almost too much to handle. As he exhaled, the flames came out blue and turned into a bright purple. He hoped to finish the job quickly so he could move on to the next pathetic life form and destroy them.
