Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle leaned closer to the girl and lowered her voice. 'I would be careful who I told of your gift,' she whispered, sitting up again. Frightening the girl was the last thing she wanted to do, but she knew a few Minsitry officials that would find her abilities strange. And dangerous.

Amelia Frances
((Sorry for taking so long to reply, I'm organizing information from your class))
Amelia swallowed. For a moment she just sat there, digesting the bit of information. Letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, she nodded slowly. She knew of the possibilities of being taken into the government to be tested; the wizard version seemed much worse than that. In a soft voice, quieter than you'd expect her to be able to be, she whispered, "Only you know. And I think Professor Sing, as I included it in my application. But I haven't told anyone else." Running a hand through her hair, she frowned, trying to think. "Should I ignore it?" her voice was just as soft, but held a pleading note to it. She'd tried that before, and it felt cruel. Wrong. She didn't want to be that way.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle nodded slowly at her reaction. 'I do not think ignoring it would be a wise choice. I am not sure how your abilities work, but I am guessing they would be rather difficult to ignore,' she said, glancing at Amelia. She could see something troubling her, perhaps she had attempted it before. Ignoring something like that could cause it to burst one day; explode from the pressure of being kept silent. The young girl had a wonderful gift and she seemed reluctant to accept it; Kalle guessed she merely wanted to feel average. But she was very unique indeed.
{ No problem. I took a long time myself. }

Amelia Frances
Amelia relaxed, grateful she didn't have to any longer, at least not while here. Running a hand through her hair, she sighed, lightly commenting, "My dad doesn't believe in magic." Which was her way of off-handedly saying he didn't want her to believe in it either. She remembered every detail of when she first mentioned she might be empathic. She was young, to the point that her father seemed massive, but not scary, not before that. She'd commented that Mommy was upset upstairs, though no one could hear her. She realized now, he was the one who made her upset, but his anger had flared up. She'd gotten in the habit of not mentioning it, and ignoring it whenever possible. Upon coming here, she thought she'd be free of those bindings, but apparently not as much as she'd hoped.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle nodded knowingly. She had met many a Muggle that refused to believe in magic, even when it was so obviously placed beneath their nose. She wondered what Amelia's parents were like. 'What about your mother?' Kalle asked quietly. Judging by how Amelia had described her father's opinion on magic, she guessed her mother must have had some sort of belief system to balance out his lack of one.

Heart Rainy Seabrooke, Second Year Ravenclaw The girl leans on the rocky wall, thinking. She had already decorated the grotto, making it as homey as possible. It was her only safe place that only she knew, and she'd like to keep it that way.

Amelia Frances
Amelia blushed. Now that was something she didn't mean to mention. "My ma's fine with it. She was the one who let me go here." She made it sound as if her father still knew, which was a good assumption for Kalle to make. She didn't want it to go around that her father didn't know she was here, for the irrational fear that he might find out. She could guess how angry he'd become, and without Ammy there for him to direct it at, she wasn't sure if her siblings or her mother would be in danger.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle smiled. She was glad one of Amelia's parents was accepting of the school's reputation and education program; such an intelligent girl deserved to be educated at only the finest school in all of Britain. Kalle guessed Amelia was hiding something, though what she did not know. She decided against intruding into the girl's personal life any further than she already had. She wondered why Amelia had calmly replied to each of Kalle's questions, but had not asked any of her own. She seemed a rather curious and adventurous girl. Mind you, her ability to read emotions might have played a part in that; Kalle was an incredibly calm person, and had not been feeling oddly curious, which could have rubbed off on Amelia.

Amelia Frances
((That was a hint that I was being lazy wasn't it?))
Knowing that Kalle accepted her answer, Amelia leaned back onto her hands, staring up at the sky. "There's so much to learn here. I seem to only succeed accidentally." She glanced over to Kalle, "Though it's no wonder we don't have track; with all the walking we have to do around here, we'd beat any other scho-" Amelia cut herself off, frowning for a second. Would there be any competition? "Are there other magical schools?" She asked; for if not Muggles outnumbered witches and wizards more than she could possibly imagine.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action 'There is no such thing as succeeding accidentally,' Kalle laughed lightly. 'You succeed because you were meant to.' She looked over at Amelia. 'Yes, there are other wizarding schools but they are few and far between. And we beat them by far,' she added with a wink.
{ No, no, not at all! I just felt bad the conversation seemed so one-sided. }

Amelia Frances
The young girl sighed not quite arguing but still felt the need to tack on, "I think it's luck," at the very least she felt lucky that Sparrow was as okay as she was. She wasn't sure if she'd get in trouble for it though, so she didn't bring it up. She laughed when the teacher praised the school, knowing she pretty much had to, but it faded quicker than before as the child was growing gradually tired. Not that she would notice or admit it until she was actually asleep. "Do you come out here every warm night? Can we sometimes sleep out here?" She leaned back on her hands, yawning widely in the process. Yeah, she wouldn't be against sleeping outside on a night like this.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action Kalle laughed quietly to herself; Amelia would soon realize her true potential. 'I come out to the lake almost every night,' she said with a small smile. It was so peaceful and calm here she could not help but forget any troubles or worries, and simply breathe in the fresh, clear air. 'I suppose you could sleep here if you wished, though I am not sure what the headmistress would have to say about it,' she added, not wanting to encourage her if it truly was not permitted. She glanced at the young girl who now lay beside her; the desire for sleep was visible in almost every part of her body.

Belatedly Amelia realized she probably was intruding. A blush, which was quickly covered up by a yawn, grew on her face as she tried to figure out what to reply. "Oh," came out first, then added with an, "I wouldn't want to intrude." Since she was tired, it wasn't as subtle as it could have been, but she tried to emphasize that she truly wouldn't be offended, as Kalle probably enjoyed the peace and serenity she found.

Professor Kalle Ithilwen | Care Of Magical Creatures Thought | Spoken Word | Action 'Oh, I don't mind at all,' Kalle said softly. She was glad she found someone that understood and even cared if she wanted to be left alone; but she found she was greatly enjoying her conversation with the young girl.
