tired. and odd. i got in a catfight, except it was with another guy. o_O; so it was an all male catfight. but still totally a catfight.

Why? eek

(Okay, I have to ask.)
Did you pull each other's hair and scratch at each other's eyes? Or was it just a b***h fest?

twas the former, and over the twilight series. i was consoling him over the fact that he has had as stressful a month as myself, and was basically appologizing to him for making him worry that i would get him in legal trouble by assuring him that i was keeping everything i was doing well within the law, and then he brought up the discussion about twilight that i had with another guy in his group earlier. he said that the books were better than the movie.

i said they were not, and that the first film was ok, and even had bonus points for great music, but that the series went downhill. an dthat the books were even worse because they were a.) inconsistent, b.) a disgusting model for romance and social conduct, and c.) inaccurate concerning mythology. i conceided that her vampires pass muster, under her rights to creative liberty, but that i still don't particularly like them.

he growled at me.

so, i growled back. we were hands-on-hips, leaning forwards, legs straight-as-arrows, and having a staredown.

we argued about it, him saying he liked that kind of romance, and me saying that i felt disgusted by it and that i discourage it among people in real life. he told me he's glad he's not "one of those kinds of fans, or [he'd] tear me up."

i asked him why, told him i was curious his reasons, and wha about my opinion upsets him so much, i sai dthat smirking at him, and he just walked away! xd

Wow. Oh my gods! Have you heard that these stupid Twilight tweens are getting fake teeth put on by real dentists so they can have fangs! Vaniers, I think I spelled it right. I am still fuming over all the attention she got. Go read Anne Rice then tell me you're a vampire fan! Go read Wolfman and all the other werewolf books that came out before this woman tried to make her twist on werewolves! Then tell me you're a werewolf fan. Gr! I've loved vampires and werewolves since I was little! And these girls hav no clue where they even came from!

OMG! I am SO laughing right now. rofl

Anyway... phew... lol

I can laugh right? The picture of grown men CATFIGHTING over TWILIGHT is so hilarious to me!

I can't see how people turn pointless fiction into the basis of their lives. I love a good fantasy fic every now and then, but I don't fall in love with one so much that I convince myself it's real.

I am even skeptical about my faith though, as I believe in the teachings and not necessarily the "historical facts" presented in the Scriptures...so anyway... Am I weird?

and yes, you are weird, dear. but that is because you are a free-thinking individual, able to have your own opinions, and do research that you base your beliefs on, as opposed to just taking scripture at face-value. if you find that to be a bad thing than it is bad to you. if you find it to be a good thing than it is good to you. it doesn't matter what to who else it means. what matters concerning you is what you think. because you are you, and nobody else is you.

and, yeh... sweatdrop i'll admit, i was having a good laugh at myself as well, especially considering how fun it was. redface and i have always hated catfights because they were alsways such trivial matters, i never stopped to think about how ejoyable it is to actually be in one, even despite all the stress during th efight.

it is very different from the guy version... it's physical, a rush of Adrenaline far superior to having Sex, that the bruises and cuts and potential broken bones are all worthe the expulsion of thought and stress! it's a RUSH! that is the definition of Fight Night, and of men just picking fights cause their pissed off! whee

but this... a catfight... it's a rush of Estrogen, it's a bitchfest, it's all Verbal and Intellectual, and even just Emotional.... it's the far more hurtful i think, the far more serious.... because at the end of it, the loser ALWAYS has sore Pride, feels utterly defeated, destroyed even.. not just in the sense of losing a battle... but of losing a war. that they need to re-evaluat everything...

it could very well be an immoral thing, a dishonourable match. sad

gods... i have so much to think about now... iii-_- what have i done... i probably made the poor fella feel like absolute s**t! crying and he was having such a hard time as it was! gonk and all over a stupid story? i'm such a jerk!

ugh... cry is this what it's like to be a woman? to be a b***h at least? i don't envy you ladies for having to live with the guilt of your every victory, it must eat at you.

:sighs.: iii-_- or maybe i'm just reading too much into it, not being able to understand it any more than i can understand anything about the female mind. maybe it's just a concept that goes way over my head and cannot be obtained or concieved of in my male way of thinking.

bruises heal, broken bones regenerate... shatters ideals and egos will always have cracks when they are put back together. the scars are forever. Words are far more powerful than any blow or strike.

I admit the fangs look cool, but I think it would be creepy to have them in all the time. There are so many kids now, who decide that they want to believe they really are vamps though. I just don't find that healthy.

Yea. The parents should really buy them fake fangs to use for a week and see if they can get a job with those. I wore mine for Samhain and I was stared at. I also wore a cat tail very often XD

If you want fangs, this guy has an awesome way to get them without permanently altering yourself to later regret.

Make Realistic Vamp Fangs

He has allot of great advise for Hollywood sort of effects, but this was always my favorite. They look AWESOME when they're done. I made mine super long, but I was going for a more beast-ish look.

i want to have the real Body Mod, becuse i want to add it to my Sex-life! whee

but not filing. ._. that would ruin the enamel, and make my teeth vulnerable to rot.

also, i have added a HUGE thought to my earlier response quoting you Elta.

true, they need to wait a while before deciding on Body Mods of any kind. sweatdrop there is a reason that the law says you must be an adult or have the permission of a parent to have Body Mods like Tats and Piercings. it applies to other types of Body Mod, obviously, and the reason is that it is a serious decision, best made maturely and realistically.

I definitly agree with that law. Piercings you can always take out, but you still have the scar. Tattoos you must get rid of with the laser treatment that takes dozens of visits and hurts worse then getting the tattoo. Fake teeth can come off, but then the real tooth is so damaged from the cap or vanier {I have no clue if I'm spelling that right} that it will be soft and probably very sensitive.

I tend to fight more like a man. I am not really subtle when I'm angry, and I don't let things get to me very often. I have pretty strict criteria for things that are worthy of bothering me.

I have to agree with you about the rush though. I have never started a physical fight, but I used to hope for the chance to finish them. I wasn't very boy crazy as a teen, but I was the focus of allot of jealous gals. I had "bad fashion sense". I also played guys sports, and the girls thought I had ulterior motives, so I had to defend myself pretty often. I guess the regular release of tension I got helped me deal with being single.

Anyway, I would never give a cat-girl a chance, one slap or hair tug, and I'ld knock her on her a** without a word. If it was a word fight, I would just look them in the eye and laugh at their absurdity.

Anyway, I've grown up a little bit. I respect people a bit better now, but the kids still worry the s**t out of me. I don't believe people got into fiction so hard core that they physically fought, swore off friendships, or convinced themselves that the story was about something real. Now there are therapists who specialize for these people. The media is sensationalizing it. I have an 8 year old and a 3 year old! What will they have to go through for being well grounded individuals? What if they decide they don't want to be down-to-earth? crying

My daughter is two and I am already starting to worry. I am going to homeschool her for a little bit, since we are going to have to move at least every four years with my fiance being a Marine. I have been hearing all these disturbing things that these young girls talk about. Have you heard of a blue waffle?! It's from girls not knowing how to take care of their bodies while being sexually active so they practically dry out! How disgusting! *shivers* I am so protective of my body and I notice even the slightest of changes. I knew I was pregnant a week in to it.

:hugs you gently, petting you.: sad i'm sorry dear, i know what it's like to fear for such things... i'll admit, i have always just felt assured in that future kids i'll have will be brought up with my Values, that i will be perfectly successful in that... but acknowledging also that i am going to be a parent of such Libertarian upbringing, what you say now has me worried about the reality...

sure, i'll tell me kids that they can only watch the disney channel if they also keep up with the media covering their role-models on that station, but that realy is no guaruntee that they will care...

still, the worse yet is knowing that they will undoubtedly be ostracized for their Intelligence and non-conformity! gonk gods, i hate society. crying

:sighs.: but yeh, you definately seem to be able to relate in a masculine way. i am both impressed and gladdened. again you show a level of understanding and sympathy for men that i can never truely find in women. even Shan, who believe me, is wonderfully understanding and sympathetic of Men and males in general, has yet to display this level of intimate understanding of what it is like! smile it's as though you have lived it from a very critical age on! biggrin it makes me feel very happy to know you. ^_^ even if only online.
