Sage tossed the seeds when the time came before she turned her attention to the dog running across the sky. She couldn't help but think that maybe she should look into getting an animal. After all it would give Arwa another play mate and she got the feeling Flicker's Sheep would love that as well.

Quickly dousing the cow's head in water, Delilah watched the cow's head shake the water off. Taking a deep breath before she did it, she slit the cow's throat in a quick movement that could not be prevented once her hand holding the dagger moved. The cow bellowed as the dagger cut its neck, its blood spurting from the neck.

Sage winced as she watched Delilah slit the cow's throat. It was a good thing Flicker hadn't become attached to the cattle and wasn't around at the moment. None of them really liked this but it was necessary to appease Pan and get Delilah back to normal so they could return to their own time.

Markus frowned. He never snored. He sighed. "Okay so where's the race going to be at?" he asked. He heard a loud bellow from a cow and hoped Arwa didn't hear it.

(Busy busy busy busy -w-)
He woke up again, this time lying inside of a tent.
"Where am i..." he muttered to himself, sitting up on one arm. Then it came to him, he had come into this tent while the rest of the group had been having their fun. He hadn't told them what had happened to him. They didn't know about Troy, or the Greek army. He sighed and lay back on the mat, bracing his head on his hands.
"what will they care anyway, they aren't even Greek...

As the cow sunk to the ground, Delilah remembered to hold out the 'receptacle' to catch the majority of the blood in. After one long, gurgling moan, the cow finally died.
Arwa giggled, "Was that your tummy, Uncle?" He then started the sheep away from Markus just before Markus heard Arwa's response of, "Here! Now!" to his question of wanting to know where the race would start.

"Huh? Right now? Well, where's it going to end?" he asked Arwa in fake curiosity.

Arwa pointed to a boulder next to a small squat tree about several hundred metres away. "There and back?" he asked

Sage looked at Delilah while waiting to see what they needed to do next. It wouldn't do to insult the gods when they're trying to get on their good side.

He looked at the boulder so far away and then looked at Arwa. "Are you sure you can run all the way over there and back?"

Sitting up and stretching, Kidemonas pulled on his tunic, and exited the tent.
He found his pack, fished an apple out and sat to watch the goings on of the camp.

After placing the cow on its side, Delilah cut open the cows' belly with the knife. It wasn't a nice sight, and Delilah made all efforts to get the entrails and liver out of the cow's carcass before she threw up. After pulling these out, she put these on the altar, momentarily, to examine them for any unusual marks, signs that the gods were not happy and would not accept the sacrifice.

Sage continued to watch Delilah never making a sound as kept a close eye on her friend. Out of the many things they had been taught in training how to sacrifice an animal to the Gods was not one they had learned and learning how to keep from throwing up during the Sacrifice was something else they had to learn as they went.
