{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Castle Oblivion : Commons Area (AKA Kitchen)]

"Sorry for the wait. We shall discuss the missions now," Vereor spoke from the doorway, finding that most of the members had, in fact, remained in the commons area. Zekvyr was likely still showing Zigmund the laboratories, and Masenko...

Well, you could never really count on Masenko.

"First, Fal'Navi, I have a personal task that you might find interesting," he began, taking his seat at the round table and ignoring the tension that was still going on between the women. Even without their hearts, women were predictably... menstrual. "A blond male named Soryuju is currently in Traverse Town. I would like you to approach him and test his mettle in one-on-one combat sometime before he leaves. I figured you wouldn't be too annoyed by the task, given that he is a Dragon Knight in training."

"Next, Tsurumi, Revelin, you are to accompany each other to the Land of Dragons," he explained, glancing at the two members next, his stoicism as present as ever. "An Avalanche Heartless has broken loose in the fields approaching the Forbidden City, and while we strive to cause destruction of all sorts, we'd prefer the world's heart not yet be lost for such a meaningless cause."

"The rest of you are allowed relatively free reign, but do not be surprised if I should call on you," he explained, pouring himself the remainder of the tea. "I am merely waiting on word from the Superior before I bring someone with me to the Kingdom of Cornelia. However, Aiko- how went your mission in Agrabah?"

˹The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.˼

"Anytime, Aria," Aiko replied cheerfully, raising her voice so that it could be heard from the kitchen. She was glad that someone else had acquired a liking for her favourite dish - people on this side of the universe really did have peculiar tastes in food.

"Oh, do guess. Actually, I'll just go right ahead and tell you," she perked back at Vereor, making shuffling sounds in the kitchen. "Like many gorgeous, wealthy females of royal blood that are lucky enough to be graced with hour-glass figures, she doesn't mope and moan about how terrible her life is OR parade around the palace in all her misery so she can whine longingly for the freedom that is given to the tapeworm-infested future prostitutes in the pungent streets below-" she paused for a second, emerging from the kitchen with the aburage and promptly headed towards Aria to give her her share, "-all the while clad in adornments enough to feed several peasant families for a lifetime."
Sarcasm. She has it.
"In all honesty, if she wasn't so Inari-forsaken important, I would rather prefer backhanding her across that perfect chestnut complexion."
Princesses. How would we survive without them.

˻So it all comes down to what you want. Worms, or cheese.˺

Reikonsesshou: Samurai/Nobody/Wanderer

[Traverse Town: Second District: Door to First District]

Reikon entered the second district, surveying it as entirely as he had the first. He made note of everything, down to the last stone of the streets. He felt...something. Something that told his that if Heartless would be anywhere, they would be here.

(okay, quick question, what's all this maze business about?)

[ Enyb ]

{Kweh...[Oh my...]}

[Traverse Town: Kuropo's Maze]

Oh, this maze was getting to be BORING. Nothing to grab, nothing to pick up, nothing but...well...NOTHING!

Enyb ruffled his feathers in irritation. Really, did he just get dragged into something because he got close? How rude. It's not like he even knew the situation he had walked into. Not that THAT mattered, at least.

With another ruffle, Enyb looked around, and seemed to let out a sigh of breath. Not even a trace of-

"Take this you freaks!!!"

OH! That was Moggie! Was she being attacked?!

Running forward, Enyb saw just what was happening. Which was Moggie attacking two quite oblivious looking humans. Oblivious and not all that threatening from his point of view. Which got the chocobo standing there and wondering what he should do.

Mind you, the bird was also in plain sight as he stood there, pondering.

Souzourou
{Don't we live in a beautiful world? And now a beautiful universe?}

[Twilight Town :: Maze]

Souzourou wandered more, all the while wondering where everyone had gone to. FInally he happened on a small clearing, with three large round black creatures, two in the air and one on the ground. "Hmmm...they don't look friendly." But nonetheless, he waited for their move. The two flying ones attacked first, gnashing their jaws as they rushed in. "Figured." And with that, his Katars waere engulfed in flames, and he thrust them into the mosnter's foreheads, the flames rushing in...and then they exploded in large bursts of fire. He turned to the ground one with jumped, and landed, sending out a shockwave.

Souzourou leapt over and past it, straight towards the creature...only to bounce off. "What?! Hmmmm..." He took off to the side scratched something into a wall, and then got around behind the beast. He attacked the rear, noting it was more plain than the front side. He Katar dug in easily. "As I thought." The black one thrashed it's hands around, and Sou jumped back to avoid, then rushed to the side. He sent out a wave of fire from his Katars, and just as planned, the thing turned towards him. The fire actually hit it though, and it stumbled a bit backwards...as one of the flames licked the etching he had made previously, a stream of fire shot from the wall, hitting it in the rear, and causing it to disintegrate like the others.

That was all of them, and then continued walking hoping to find someone he had seen previously.

[Moggie & Shade : Traverse Town : Maze]

Shade had walked up behind a strange white creature that threw what looked like a fire at two humans.

"You know that was stupid... " the ninja spoke to the creature.

"Yeah well who asked you!" the moogle responded, "Ho shi-!"

Moggie jumped in surprise, realizing that voice was coming from behind her. The mage glanced back to see the large face of Fang in hers. Meanwhile the fireball she fired at Mitsudo and Kuumaru went off its course and went in the direction of the wall behind Enyb.

Moggie turned her head wondering what happened to her spell, just in time to see the fireball hit the wall behind the chocobo.

"Crap Enyb!" she shouted running off towards her chocobo friend. Both out of worry of him being hit by her spell unintentionally as well from slight annoyance.

"Enyb where the heck have you been?" she said up to him, "You have no idea what I have been though.

Shade sighed softly at the scene before her.

'How the hell do I get myself into this crap...' she sighed and took a step from behind the corner in front of the group.

[Mitsudo :: Maze from HELL]

Mitsudo heard the Moogle's battle cry, instinctively turning and getting into an offensive position. Upon seeing the fireball hurtling towards him and Kuumaru, he charged gravitational energy into his fist, then aimed his punch towards the fireball.

"Hmph!" He grunted, watching the fireball...curve away. The monk stared blankly as it hit the wall. It was most anti-climatic, but Mitsudo didn't care. He was fine as long as Kuumaru and Suzuran were okay. Except, Suzuran was still not there.

[You aren't good enough for her... drop dead buddy]

[Traverse Town : Maze]

The boy turned to see Mitsudo and answered, "Hmmm, I don't know. Does it look like I found her?" The boy sighed, as the first sign of life that he finds would have to be him of all people and creatures. The two didn't even have a chance to have a full conversation before a fireball was sent their way. Fortunately the fireball lost its course and slammed into the wall behind the two. After that small fireball crisis, there was a chocobo, a moogle, a small guard, a ninja, and her wolf.

"Well, now isn't this quite the large group? Well now if everybody wouldn't mind, I would like to hurry up and get out of this maze!" he said trying to rush everyone. Of course I really want to find my sister, but I'll probably just find her at the end... If we make it there at least, he thought to himself.

After leading the group for a bit the boy still continued to scream out for his sister until they met up with a familiar face. "Soryuju!" The prince ran forward to check upon the weakened warrior. "How are you feeling?" he asked checking upon the male's health.

[Castle Oblivion: Commons Area]

Revelin waited patiently in the Commons Area, and he was rewarded by Vereor with a mission. Unfortunately for him, it was with one of the newer members. Revelin wanted to finish this mission as soon as possible, since he didn't want to dawdle with what limited time he has. He got up and opened up a portal and then signaled to Tsurumi to go through the doorway leading to the land of dragons.

Solaris

Sorry...
...I'll be taking my leave now.

{Traverse Town : Third District: Merlin's House}

When Youni stood up and leaned over the table towards him, Solaris moved back a little in his seat. He watched and listened in astonishment to what she was saying, only to have tears come to his eyes again. To hear it stated so bluntly, so completely free of emotion...it was hard to listen to it. He just wanted to shut her up...too bad he didn't know the spell. Well, he probably wouldn't have anyways. Probably.

Looking into Aerith's eyes, he saw the apologetic look and couldn't find his tongue. This woman was different than the other people that he had met. She seemed truly sorry about what Youni had said. Taking the offered handkerchief, he dried his eyes. Unsure of what to do with it, he folded it and set it on the table, taking a second to try to get back to a state where he wouldn't burst into tears. "...It's ok. It's just...hard." He mumbled, glancing at the folded handkerchief.

Upon hearing that he could ask questions, he immediately thought of some that he had not figured out. "Well...if you wouldn't mind me asking...could you...could you tell me where we are? Or how you got here?" He asked, eyes slightly brightening at the prospect of learning something. He just hoped they wouldn't be offended.

Tsurumi

I'd prefer if you were to just...

...disappear

{Castle Oblivion -> Land of Dragons ~ Commons Area -> ???}

So Aiko would continue to ignore her. Well, that was fine. She wasn't essential to life. And if she ever did go on a mission with her...maybe only Tsurumi would come back, Aiko having met with an... unfortunate end. Still, pleasant thoughts for later, work to be done for now.

Watching Vereor come through the door and sitting at the table, Tsurumi began to wonder what sort of work the missions required. Would it be pure fighting, sabotage, spying, or other such enjoyable tasks? Well, it seemed that it would be Heartless killing. Not very exciting, but if it had to be done.... Standing up, Tsurumi walked over to Revelin, somewhat amused by his mask. A strange creature, accompanied by a strange hair color. Nice and menacing there, with all that orange to him.

"How nice of you to open a door and hold it open. Such a gentleman." She said, a somewhat sarcastic tone in her voice, just before she stepped through the portal to a new world.

~Window~

[Traverse Town::Third District::Jonah's Clothing Shop]

Jonah and Window conferred for awhile about what Window wanted in terms of garments. At first, Window didn't know what to choose. It seemed like this was it, this was going to be the first step, the first decision of his new life. His clothing was going to be the initial mark of his new identity. So, what did a blank slate choose to wear? Of course, it had to be functional; who knew what he was going to do in the future? But Window didn't want to totally let go of the familiar. However, the ornate patterns and designs of his homeworld would not be practical, and he did not dare tax Aerith's generosity by burdening her with a large "tab." After some time, Window had a vague notion about what he wanted and told Jonah. Jonah promptly went behind the counter and in the back, from where Window could hear the man rummaging around and starting on his outfit. In the meantime, Window plopped down next to Nalo again, hoping a little bit of conversation might pass the time better. "So..." Window began awkwardly.

{Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.}

[Castle Oblivion : Basement Halls]

"Altruism?" the drow said, looking back with a rare look on his face. He seemed actually amused, and the twinkle in his eye was unmistakable, as if mirroring the meaning of the word he had just spoken. Drow were not evil looking, after all; in point of fact, they were just as beautiful as their surface cousins, the lighter skinned fae. A major difference, however, was that drow rarely actually smiled; cold blooded hatred, sneers, or a hard look in their eye- that was drow.

Zekvyr eyed Zigmund in a new light, as if considering him for the first time. The twinkle faded from his eye to once again be replaced with that cold stare, and perhaps a bit of curiosity. "My reasons are my own," he said at length, and because humans tended to be thick skulled, he added, "It is beneficial for you, is it not?"

It might not have been obvious, but there was the sense of the ridiculous there. Zigmund had been correct, obviously. Zekvyr had his own reasons. However, Zekvyr didn't want to simply announce his intentions for all to hear- and Vereor could always hear, he knew this for certain now. Perhaps this ridiculous statement would be sufficient confirmation for Zigmund; proof that, yes, Zekvyr had his hidden agenda for helping.

Then again, humans were awfully dense. A drow would have understood simply by Zekvyr's posture.

Walking over to a wall with a slight indent, Zekvyr spread his fingers and pushed his hand against the smooth surface. A flash of light appeared, briefly, (enough to cause him discomfort), and then, his favorite part, an even brighter light came from the wall and scanned his eyes. He detested this. The small amount of light, so directly attacking his eyes, actually blinded him every time it happened. He wouldn't be able to see anything for several minutes.

The wall seemed to cave in on itself, pushing back to reveal a pathway. One of the Conclave's best labs was just beyond.

Nalo
Jonah's Apparel and Fashions

Nalo smiled as Window sat down next to him. Apparently, it was time for more questions and more answers. "You alright from earlier? Combat is always startling after the first time, but it will pass. The only thing I need your opinion on now is what to do. Once Jonah comes back, you'll be fully clothed and ready for the universe at large. Where'dja like to start? We could try to find Solaris or Aerith or Soryuju...Any of them would have more information and might be able to help you more than me...We could look for in the gummi hanger for some explorer to take us...We could try to find you a combat tutor...Hmm...the choices...And please, by all means, if you have questions, ask them."

{Kweh...[Oh my...]}

[Traverse Town: Kuropo's Maze]

"WARK!![AAAAHH!!]" The chocobo cried out as he ducked from the fireball. What in Gaia was going on?!

Of course, once Moggie came over, the chocobo gave the moogle a strangely blank look.

"Warwarwarkwehwakweh.[Oh, I'm fine, just, you know, dodging fire spells and fighting for my life.]"
