stellarmagic Our modus operandi. The Refinery ship under a false transponder code approaches an unshielded freighter. As it approaches the ship launches one or more mole miners which vector toward the freighter while the refinery ship opens fire with its two ion cannons and activates a jamming field (Switching out the Turbolasers for ions is pretty logical). The mole miners latch onto and bore into the command center, exposing it to vacuum. A boarding team seizes control of the life support system and deploys a paralytic. After the crew has been subdued by either blaster fire or the gas the target ship is pillaged of all valuables and cargo. Crewmen that could be valuable on the black market as slaves are taken aboard (Along with more "desirable" members of the ship's crew) and a catastrophic reactor failure is rigged to simulate an accident as the ship leaves. Wow can't believe I went that evil... Guess I can be an evil b*****d at times. Blah. Proffesional Pirates you ain't. Typical Pirates you are. And your evil is only a lukewarm puddle compared to the steaming eruption of evil that my Terrorist Leader possesses.

Yes we shall have a full spectrum of Evil.
BTW... if you want that Escort Carrier standard operations during the galactic civil war were to have a Nebulon-B and two Corellian Corvettes as escorts. I'd suggest dropping the Nebulon for a Corona, and make the Corellian Corvettes completely optional. I'd think the Corona could handle the job of protecting your box.

It's KDY... and I've seen the Imperials in possesion of them in Dark Empire. I'd bet that while it's design was to meet a Republic set of specifications. Kuat, ever the capitalists, sold them to both sides.

You know what, to make Cale a bit happier lets go with an Nebulon B-2... The Coronas in Imperial use were quite a bit rarer than Nebulon, even the up gunned B-2 variant.

Known as the workhorse of the Empire, Escort Group Orion has been known for it's dedication and hard work. While not quite as illustrious as the 181st, it is still nevertheless known for being a high-end force.
Their usual duties usually involve patrol around border or otherwise dangerous territories. They do however hold a bit of a grudge with the 181st, seeing them as rivals and job stealers, being called in to do local jobs, despite being on hand. Because of this, their loyalty has seen better days.
Oddly enough, the 362nd is well known on several points. It was the preemminent fighter wing, until the rise to fame of the 181st. It has also seen more combat than any other Imperial Fighter Group, and the average age of it's pilots are roughly 7 years higher than the norm, as a testament to their longevity.
Whereas most wings are attached to certain groups or ships, the 362nd is unique as a firesquad, moving from hotspot to hotspot, in much the same way as Rogue Squadron of the Rebellion.
They are currently attached to Task Force "Cygnus", forming Line 8 of the local Fleet.

Missile Boats are highly restricted, as are skiprays. If I were to hazard a guess this would be the standard compliment of an Imperial Fighter Wing:
3 TIE Interceptor Squadrons 2 TIE Avenger Squadrons (AKA Brights. Production versions of the TIE Advanced) 1 TIE Scimitar Squadron 1 Alpha-class XG-1 Gunboat Flight (4 Ships)
