"Alihi, like I said, I would help you with this as well, or would you rather have me go to try and get that tome? Either way is fine with me." Walking over with his bow ready, like before.

Ephraim gripped his spear and spun it around his wrist before it landed in the palm of his hands. "Already a step ahead of you, Awaiting orders is all" he bowed, in a polite gesture and walked toward the door.

"Bartre, you stay here. I don't want everyone out at once. We need replacements, in case one or more of us should fall." Alihi replied to the warrior grimly.
She then nodded at Ephraim and Blossom, pointing out the door with her left hand. "Alright, guys... Let's go!!" She quickly headed out the door.

"As you say Alihi. Hey now that I think of it, should we do anything about the one slumped in the kitchen?" Referring to the guy that became unconscious because of Ayra.

Ephraim stopped midway out the door, double checking that he had everything and stopped to wait for Alihi. Once she was spotted coming out the door, he soon followed her as well. From a far he could see a silhoutte figure and thought that must have been who is coming to attack. He spun his spear around his wrist again "Here we go, ready whenever"

(CAN I COME??? 8D)
"Yeah, I could help find the Book. That guy can't be too far away" He said as he started heading towards the kitchen but when the Soldier kicken open the door and said that a guy with brown wild hair was coming, he knew it had to be Abel. "Alihi, may I be able to help?" He said as he took his Steel lance in hand.
(Edited: Alright, no problem)
Aran listened to what Alihi had to say, and understood. "Right, but hustle back if you need me or Bartre." Aran still had his hand on his Lance, and decided to go get some fruit. A quick snack couldn't hurt.

The Saint walked the halls, small child still held in his arms. It seemed he got to be the babysitter now. Well, at least the house was quiet. There was a slight bit of sound, so at least one other person was in the house, but other than that there was nothing. But, of course, Fefga's house was safe; none who intended harm could come within its walls. . . right? But then. . . how had that soldier gotten in? He had likely been controlled, true. . . but that would mean that anyone being controlled could simply waltz in whenever they wanted to. That wouldn't be good. A quick check of the back door showed that it was locked. All right. Windows closed. . . and then, back to the front door. Renault paused, then after a moment's thought locked this too. The kitchen wasn't far from the door; if anyone wanted in they could call for someone. And it was better to be safe than sorry.
The Saint took a moment to look around; where could he put Vah? After a moment's reflection, he decided that his own room would likely be the best place. Ascending the stairs, he opened his own door and glanced around the room. Good, nothing sharp. He moved a book from the top of his dresser to a drawer, then set Vah on the bed and crouched to look at her. "Now, Vah, take a nap, all right?" he told her gently. "Your mommy and daddy will be back soon, and I'll come get you and bring you to them when it's time." He leaned forward and kissed the little girl's forehead softly. "You'll be safe here." He rose, then moved away and, with a glance back, closed and locked his door, placing the key back around his neck on its chain.
Now, what else could he do? Well, at the moment there was really only one thing he could think of; examine The Door. Unlike the others, he hadn't been exposed to it, and only knew what it was through others' explanations. He'd only seen it twice, as well. . . so, here was his first chance to see it. Down two flights of stairs, and he found himself in the basement. He suppressed a cold shiver. Likely the others didn't have this problem, but to him the room felt cold and oppressive. He strode up, however, disregarding this, and put a hand out to touch The Door. It. . . almost pulsated. The presence behind it was dark. Ugh. . . it was unpleasant just to stand near, even with his own energy warding it. But Renault gathered himself, and set to examining the Door more closely. Might as well learn what little he could. . .

Looking over, Bartre noticed someone familiar...from the same lands he was from. Moving closer, he saw that it was Renault. "Fancy seeing you here Renault. Have any luck with anythng here?"

The Saint blinked, then turned to look over at the Warrior. "Hmm? Do I know. . ." He paused, then smiled. "Oh, that's right. You're Bartre. Sorry, I haven't seen you or spoken to you in a while. You seem as if you've gotten stronger since the last time we met." He paused, then looked back up at the Door, and his brow furrowed. "I'm just. . . trying to find out what's so special about this thing. From the outside it doesn't seem to be much more than a simple door, but there's something inside that makes one able to travel to other worlds. And, from these worlds, one cannot come back. But, people have come through this door; Loki did. Leander did. And now Asami has. I can't believe they came from our worlds, though; this leads me to believe that there is at least one world on the other side of that Door, and that there is, in fact, a way to travel back through this door; since it has been done. Were Ashera well, I would ask help of her to attempt an experiment; but she is not, and Loki is around. However, it would be fascinating to travel to other worlds. . ." His eyes grew a bit distant. "I do still have a few hundred years of life left to go. Perhaps more. So I may as well. . . attempt to find something new."

"True we haven't spoken in some time...and I have done some training. Yet how could that be possible? I mean yeah Loki, Leander, and that other person have done that, yet maybe they are just different kinds, and it works that way for them, or maybe...I don't know it confuses me."

After a moment of thought, Renault shook his head. "No, I don't think that's true. Loki is different. But Asami is part of Melethia; and since that's the case, Melethia was probably taken through the Door and back. Leander was human; although he was under Loki's power as well. But if that soldier comes back through we'll have definitive proof. Right now, I'm just looking for a way to open this thing, and why exactly it's closed. I suspect it's because of Loki though. . ." He tapped the door with his staff, listening for any changes in sound.

As Aran stepped into the kitchen, he saw Nometal still against the wall, and decided he'd help him out. "Hey Nometal, you okay?" He asked him while offering his hand to help him up. They would need him if they needed more reinforcements anyways.

Resting in a bassinet upstairs, an infant with a bright red mark on her right arm twisted a bit in her blankets, blinking into the light as she awoke. Tiny hands moved up to push at her face as she whined quietly for her mother, expectantly watching the ceiling to see the familiar, beautiful face, framed by its halo of dark hair.
After about ten seconds, she experimentally tried another louder whine. Three seconds after that, the impatient brandling's lip began to wobble.
Two seconds later, a high-pitched wail began to weave its way throughout the house, piercing the air and twisting and turning down corridors and stairways.
