Raquel was laughing herself, holding her stomachs she nuzzled into Damian. Once she calmed down a bit, she leaned up, kissing his chest, then his chin before looking up at him with loving eyes. "I love you Damian." She said simply, not really sure why she felt she should be so affectionate. She just wanted to show him how much he really meant to her. She hoped it didn't bother him, but she kept it up anyhow. Rolling over a bit sorely, her ribs still a bit tender, she sighed. "Food does sound good...we should get up hm?" She asked just as sleepily as she glanced over at him.

Damian had the distinct feeling of being reprimanded by his mother as Lorey walked away. He turned over a few times before planting his feet on the floor and actually doing as he was told.
"I love you, too, my lady." As he walked over to the other side of the bed, he couldn't help but give her the same loving eyes she had given him.
But, he shrugged, and without further ado, scooped up Raquel from the bed, and headed out the door.
Or he would have if it wasn't closed.
"Turn the handle, love?" he said, bending over slightly so she could reach it.

Raquel giggled slightly as she was lifted and carried to the door. She loved how Damian could always make things so much better.
At his request she smiled and reached for the handle, before wrapping her arms around his neck again. "You know I can walk darling..." She cooed as he went off, though wasn't complaining.
Richard had given Lorey a acquisitive look as to her laughter, until he heard a few more giggles coming down the hallway. "Well, look who's decided to finally join us!" He cried over exaggeratedly as Damian came in with Raquel. "Now now settle down, leave that kind of play for the bedroom alright?" He joked as he let out a laugh of his own, turning to grab one of the large pots of stew.

"Lorey, shut him up before I do." He let Raquel's feet touch the ground before standing her upright. She was always so dainty, regardless of her strength. Even knowing this, he pulled out her chair for her, and waited for her to be seated at the table.
And Lorey, who was getting glasses out, suddenly stopped what she was doing, walked over to Richard, grabbed his collar and pulled him in for a kiss. If Damian could listen to her for a few seconds, she could at least return the favor and get something out of it.

Raquel smiled softly before taking her seat that Damian was holding for her. She loved how he treated her like a princess. She gave him a look, with so much behind it, but said nothing as she looked at the spread Lorey and Richard had set before them here on the porch. "Mm It all looks so amazing!" She exclaimed, her mouth partially watering at the hot delicious stew Richard was pouring into everyone's bowls, along with the fresh baked bread to go with it, and even a light salad. It was all topped off perfectly with the sun setting behind them. "You guys outdid yourselves..." She added, looking at everything in wonder.
Richard blushed bright red, almost dropping the soup in his mitted hands. He looked like a dear in headlights, not expecting rash and spontaneous things like that from Lorey. He liked it, to say the least. "Well, erm yes..." He stuttered as he almost spilled a little of the food in his hand. "W-we're glad you like it..." Though his eyes were on Lorey, sparkling with love and a little embarrassment.

*I don't think I'm much better. D: I forgot about the outside. *
Lorey was red, too, but still looking at Richard. At first it was as if she was searching for some kind of answer, to see if she did something wrong, but with the goofy look on his face, everything said he was just fine.
"You're gonna spill," she said, putting her hands over his mitted ones and righting what he was holding.
"Yes, everything looks wonderful!" Damian cried a bit louder than necessary, but the moment Richard and Lorey were having was awkward, to say the least.
"And might I say, Richard, those oven mits look lovely with your shirt. Very nice."

Raquel laughed to herself as Richard set the large pot down, off to the side. "Well, I'm glad you approve! I was guessing an effeminate man as yourself would have enough oven mitts of varying colors lying around for me to coordinate..." He turned and gave lorey a wink. And in an overly feminine voice, he asked. "Does thith shade match my eyeths or wut?" Causing Raquel to practically fall out laughing, as she covered her mouth in an attempt to shush herself.

Damian was more horrified as he sat with large eyes staring at Richard.
Lorey, though, was nearly doubled over with her laughing, practically brought to tears as she giggled herself right into a chair. She would never have expected serious, though soft-hearted Richard to do something like that, but how wonderful it was that he could relax enough to make them laugh.
"Y-you have to stay straight so we can get married!" she cried before taking his hand and giving it a desperate squeeze.

Richard made his eyes wide as he ripped off the mitts, tossing them over his shoulder. "Oh yes, that's right...Sorry Damian..." He gave the shocked aristocrat a wink before reaching fora piece of bread.
Raquel practically snorted, her hand banging lightly on the tab;e as she looked to see Damian's reaction herself. She loved Richard to death for this. He was trying to hard to make everyone lighten up a bit, and was doing a marvelous job.

"I'll have you know," Damian said as he came out of his stupor, "That there are many people who could bear witness to my being straight."
More like bear witness to you being a whore. Lorey kept the biting thought to herself, though. With her job at the Ball Room, she'd learned that Damian used people, sometimes right in front of her with simple kisses in a darkened corner, but it was always as if he was trying to reap revenge upon someone, and she couldn't help but feel it had always been her.
As they settled down, Lorey began eating, and found that the food was wonderful. Richard was a doll in every way, and she loved him dearly.

Raquel shook her head at the nonsense as she began eating as well, resting her hand on Damian's kneecap from under the table, giving it a reassuring, or loving squeeze here and there. She found the food to be fantastic, finishing off everything she was offered for once. It seemed her appetite was getting better from the steady stream of food she had been getting recently. She loved that.
Richard had many more jokes at Damian's expense but kept them to himself as he dug in, finding the food was better than expected. He kept trying to say that Lorey made it all herself jokingly adding his only roll was to offer kisses of support and to lick the spoon when she was done with the soup.
Needless to say he was in a very good mood. And why not? Things were going so very well for him. For the first time in years. He was engaged to his wonderful Love, had a new, respectable job, had a roof over his head, even if it wasn't really his, it was still a roof. He was simply content.

Lorey argued against him that she was not the only one who made everything, and was probably more in the way half the time. Regardless, they'd made dinner together, and were quite happy with what they'd managed.
Damian kept his arm around Raquel's wait sometimes, other times just being content enough to touch her shoulder with his. She was smiling and laughing again, and all because of Richard's terrible jokes... even if they were stupid in his eyes, he was making Raquel light up once more, and there was no repayment possible for that.
"So, dessert!" he said with a full and happy stomach. "After all this bread and stew, what should we get for something sweet?"

Richard stretched, contently full as he moaned slightly. "Well-" He leaned over, giving Lorey and unexpected deep kiss. "How's that for sweet?" He asked pulling back.
Raquel shook her head. "Thats a little to spicy for the rest of us...and I'm not sure Lorey would want to share." She winked as she leaned her head on Damian's shoulder. "Lorey, do you want to help me with the dishes? We can bring out some coffee and something sweet when we're done. Let these boys rest a bit." She looked up at Damian, witha sparkling sweet smile.

She was so red and so surprised that all she could do was nod slightly as she stood from her chair.
"Sure..." Lorey ruffled Richard's hair before walking back into the house, still red-faced and embarrassed.
Damian watched the women go into the house. His eyes watched Raquel until she turned a corner, and then strayed to Richard who seemed quite happy.
"So, how is the engagement?"

Raquel laughed at her reaction, kissing Damian's cheek as she took some dishes herself and followed her.
Once in the kitchen, she place d the dishes in the dishwasher, then turned to get the automatic kitchen to make them some coffee. She wasn't really sure how it worked, but had watched everyone use it enough times, that she could order a simple coffee just fine. While waiting for it to drip, she turned to Lorey, smiling. "So I see things between you and Richard couldn't get better..." She noted, a dreamy, smile on her face as she looked to Lorey. "Thats so wonderful.." She said in a distant yet warm voice, shaking her head.
Richard met Damian's gaze with a nod. "Better than I could ask for..." He said softly, picking a spot on the table to scratch at with his nail. He smiled to himself, shaking his head. "It's crazy you know...I, I wouldn't have ever thought I'd be where I am today...and I'm really happy I am. I always thought my life would be meaningless without Rose...but I've found this Angel to give it meaning again." He laughed at himself a little before looking up at Damian. "I think that's what I love about being engaged...its knowing, that you've made the decision to be with that someone forever. That they love you and you love them. It's...a high. A lovely high that I dont want to end..." He blushed a little thinking of Lorey as he looked up at the tree limbs above them that were gently swaying with the late afternoon breeze.
