Saerenna Saerenna nodded to Rude in greetings and said, "Hello." She realized that his silence probably didn't mean anything rude, it was just Rude. (( gonk )) She looked down at her glass and seriously wondered about taking up Marlute's previous offer.... ((omg...bad pun bad pun!!! XD ))

Reno looked over to Saerenna and smirked before placing a hand over her drink.
"Mabye you better not, hm? You dont want to end up like me yesterday.." He said chuckling. "Besides...it wont do to have you out of comission if we do end up having work tomorrow." He grinned and nodded. "Why don't you let me and Marlute take this one, yo?"

The young blonde-haired man continued to walk down the path, ignoring his friend's call....Once again he needed to get away from everything...everyone....he needed more time to think. Though it seemed on the outside that Cloud might have remained this way forever, on the inside, he was beggining to think harder about certain things that had been said to him. Mabye it wasnt hopeless for him after all. Though his friends and everyone else could only hope...

Rude paused for a moment, reaching into his coat pocket, pulling out a few small coins, and placing them on the table. "I'm in." He said, finishing the last of his drink, and folding his arms, as if to express his acceptance of the challenge. "Saerenna, Reno is right, it's probably best for you to stay out of this." He added, thinking it was best if at least one of them was sober.

Marlute looked up in surprise, when Rude had included himself in the bet. He didn't seem like the type to take enjoyment in something so pointless, and yet, somehow, perhaps that really was his idea of fun, he just didn't have any other way of showing it. Still, he had a feeling that with Rude included in the challenge, he'd probably just wasted another 2000g....The Turk looked so....tough.

Reno was actually quite surprised when he heard his buddy Rude join in on the bet. Rude never really seemed to be one for drinking contests, and as far as he was concerened to Reno, a novice drinker. "Always room for surprises though." Reno said grinning as he slapped his own 2000 gil onto the counter-top. "To this day though, no one's ever beaten me." Reno said in a cocky tone, backed up with a proud smirk as he pointed in to his own chest with his thumb. "Easy money my friends...Easy money."

Saerenna grinned at all three of them and decided to take their advice and stay out of it. Looks like she'd be the one to get them all out of their once they had passed out or something. She laughed as the thought came to her mind that she wouldn't really want to do anything but watch her co-workers get drunk right now. She smiled at Reno, "Well, maybe today some one will take that away from you."

"I wonder why Tseng called off work today...?" Marlute said, taking a full sip of his drink and shaking his head as it slid down his throat with a distinct burning sensation. "It's not like him to do something like that, and absolutely unlike President Rufus to allow it." He poured himself a bit more and took a moment to think to himself, before taking another exagerated sip.

Saerenna shrugged at Marlute's question. "I dunno. Maybe they thought their wonderful Turks could do with a break." she offered, though she knew that reason was entirely unlikely. "Or maybe they just needed a break themselves. The President has been looking worn out lately." She then grinned at Reno and Rude, "Looks here like Marlute's in the lead.... what're you gonna do about it?"

"I agree...The President is pushing himself too hard." Rude raised his glass which had been refilled, and began to drink slowly, not rushing, but also not setting it down, until it had been emptied. "Ah, before I forget." He added, arching his eyebrow at the redhead sitting beside him, and reaching across the table to refill his glass. "If Reno loses, he picks up the tab."

"Uwaaaa!!?? Noone said anything about that before!!" Suddenly the redhead seemed all in a panic as he rushed the bartender over and ordered a drink, which he quickly downed before ordering another in a desperate attempt to catch up to the other two drinkers in the contest who had left him in the dust while he had been chatting so contentedly away. "No way i'm losin this one, yo!"

Saerenna snorted at Reno and sat back in her chair, wondering who would fall out of their seat first. Or at least show some signs of drunkenness. She looked at the money on the table and had an idea. "I'm not joining, but I'll raise the jackpot." she said with a grin, and added 1000 more gil to the table, just to see if that would have any effect on them.
