Someone else was in the woods as well, just a little ways away, and very lost. stumbling around, grasping for anything to help find his way out, a child was walking through the trees, his barefeet bloody from the thorns.

"I'm Garin Ossilin, miss," garin replied, and pushed himself up so he could bow to her. "And may I ask your name?"

"I'm Aquaria," she replied. "It's very nice to meet you, Garin Ossilin. By the way, what are you doing here?"

"The pleasures all mine, Aquaria," Garin said with a genial smile. Then he offered his hand to her to help her stand. "As for what I'm doing here, I was visiting some aquaintances of mine when I stumbled upon you."

The child had managed to wander within earshot of the others. crouching down, he could barely see, and listened carefully, afraid they were from the academy.

Garin's head suddenly shot up when he heard something moving not too far away from him. He motioned for Aquaria to be quiet and pulled his bow off his back. He nocked an arrow and fired it in the direction of the noise. It would have fallen a little short, but it would be enough to scare whatever it was.

the child stumbled back when an arrow suddenly hit right in front of him. giving a little yell, the child moved to hide behind a tree, and didnt say anything, hoping they would forget he was there... which was very unlikely.

Aquaria stayed quiet as Garin requested and watched him shoot an arrow into the trees. She noticed that he was a very good archer, but didn't say anything. Aquaria looked at Garin as if to say What was that?

"I suppose I should consider myself lucky for finding such a pretty girl all alone in the woods," Garin said with a crooked smile. He gently pulled her to her feet. "C'mon, I'm not sure what that was, but it might have friends."

"You're making me blush," Garin said and then laughed at his own joke. It was physically impossible for a vampire like him to blush. He still had Aquaria's hand and he pulled her along after him as he walked towards the edge of the forest. Hopefully, he had scared away whatever had been near them.
