"Arwen wouldn't have struck me as the solitary type myself," Lore replied thoughtfully, "But now that you mentioned it she is always off by herself a lot. She doesn't spend time with Alyse then?"

Since Alyse was the closest to her age, at least far closer than Shael was. It was sort of hard to imagine.

"Though I can understand Saki... she always has a way of endearing herself to people."

"Well, when she was younger," Haradhel mused, "she used to follow Elrohir and the fighters around ... then once she started training, she followed Celeborn, Elros and Gwaethir, who trained her ... but lately ... she's just been going places on her own, not really paying attention to anyone. She's never really spent time with Alyse, Alyse doesn't come here much - never has, she's always reading or working with Adonai."

She shrugged. "Arwen's changed ... I can't say exactly when, but there's something different about her, and no one can say why or how. On the other hand, she's a bit busier lately ... I'm not sure if you two are aware, but a group left last week to hunt some slavers, they should be back any day now with a group of children."

She tapped her chin thoughtfully. "You've never been here for a hunt return, have you?" she asked softly.

Elnara shook her head. "We don't visit often enough for that," she admitted. "But once the twins are a bit older I'm sure we can visit a bit more regularly ... after all, Shiro's planning on coming here for a year with Lin, and now that the wedding's over and done with, and the moving, we really won't have all that much to keep us occupied back home ... well, no more than the usual, anyways."

She looked over at Lore. "What do you think?"

Not that Lore could remember... well there was that one time, but they weren't around when the children came back. It was a large visit with their whole family at the time there.

"We could do that, it would be nice to visit a bit more often than what we do now."

Elnara nodded and smiled. "Especially since it's really our only chance to see Mother and Ada," she murmured. "And even then it's no guarantee, since they travel quite often."

Just at that moment, Hana started fussing a bit, and Garrick let out a wide yawn.

Elnara blinked. "Has it been so long already?" she murmured softly, moving to check on them. "Though I suppose with the walk and everything ... it's got to be close to their nap time already."

She gently rubbed Hana's stomach, hoping that she didn't have a tummyache. "Maybe we should get back," she suggested to Lore.

"Will they be okay until we get back?" Lore asked softly as he stood up.

Though for all he knew the twins were just going to fall asleep on the way back. Perhaps it was a lot more excitement in the trip than he had thought.

Elnara nodded and began to wrap the twins in their blankets once more.

"If they fall asleep, all the better," she murmured. "But if they do cry, there's nothing we can do about it."

Once Hana was wrapped, she handed her off to Lore and began to wrap Garrick up as well.

"It's a shame you have to leave already," Haradhel murmured as Elnara prepared the twins to leave again. "Perhaps next time they'll let you stay longer."

Probably not, she was sure they wouldn't be any less sleepy for at least a month, by which time ... Lore and Elnara would have to leave.

Once he had Hana, Lore gently placed her in the sling, making sure it was secure. Though he continued to have a hand on her just to make sure.

"At least not until we get back," Lore agreed with a sigh, "And maybe Haradhel, if not... well we'll at least visit again, hopefully more than once."

Since people here would be too busy to visit them.

Elnara finished bundling up Garrick and put him in the sling around her neck, making sure he was secure before she let her focus wander a bit.

"Definitely," she agreed with Lore, standing up carefully. "But we should get going now, before they really start up ... sorry it was so short, Haradhel, but we'll have to be seeing you later."

And with a glance and a nod to Lore, she headed towards the door.

Haradhel followed Lore and Elnara to the door, opening it for them so that their hands would be free for the babies.

"Don't worry about it," she smiled, "we should be the ones visiting you, after all. You just worry about getting those two home safely and in bed, all right? We'll see you later."

"See you another time," Lore waved as he followed Elnara out, "We'll get them to bed safely."

It was still more or less a bit of sun out, which was good and not too cold quite yet. It should be a pleasant trip back as well... who knows maybe the act of walking would put the children to sleep.

Elnara waved to Haradhel and started off towards home. Overall, she felt that the visit had gone well, and that for their first time out the twins had done swimmingly well.

Now if only there were a way for them to find out how to go back to Gaia without having to experience too big of a time change.

On the whole, it was a good walk back to the house, and the twins behaved quite fine, considering how tired they were. Hana fell asleep in Lore's sling, but Garrick didn't seem quite as happy with the idea of trying to sleep while moving, and in the end he started wailing when they were only a short distance from the house. By the time they got inside, he was too worked up to sleep, so while Lore put Hana to bed Elnara paced with Garrick in an attempt to settle him down.

Lesson learned, from then on Elnara let Garrick fall asleep before carrying him anywhere.

Lore gently set Hana down careful not to jostle her. He didn't want her to accidently wake up. One crying baby was enough, though he was surprised she didn't wake up with Garrick's crying.

"Heh... sleep through anything," he murmured softly before going back to see if Elnara needed any help.

Elnara smiled sheepishly, rocking Garrick carefully as she paced the living room with him.

"If only he would sleep," she laughed. "I guess I should have been a little more active before they were born, he might be more used to being jostled about a bit."

She put him against her shoulder and rubbed his back gently, wincing a bit when one flailing fist found its way near her eye.
