Teddy chewed his lip and was quiet for a long moment. Markus' question made his heart race and not entirely with fear. He should have been more afraid, he knew that, but the excitement he felt around Markus turned almost everything sexual. When he had at least cleared his head a little, Teddy spoke softly. "Then we don't take our chances. We don't put ourselves at risk for anything we'll regret." Teddy held onto Markus; the vampire was trembling! Teddy certainly hadn't ever thought it would be him comforting Markus. Markus always seemed calm and in control. Teddy could not help but blush at the thought that he was the reason Markus was afraid of losing that control tonight. "If I need to go home, I understand."

"Actually, I think I have a better idea. I can clean out one of my drawers and after we eat, we can go get you some dishes of your own. You can shrink them down to your size and leave them that way then." Anita offered. "What do you think?" she asked as she ate a good-sized spoonful of ice cream out of the bowl.

I paused on the stairs and sighed heavily. Oh, why the ******** dramatics? Why was everything so hard? Why couldn't I just turn the boy and get it done with so I could simply rid myself of these delaying thoughts? Oh. Right. I had morals. s**t. Forgot about those. "I don't.... know," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. It was harder than before. "The choice should be up to you, I suppose."

Teddy chewed his lower lip and looked up at Markus, but he already knew what the answer was. He just didn't want that to be the answer. "I'd better go home. I don't want to risk it." At least, not yet any way. Teddy could not help but to be reminded of last night's conversation. But it was still too soon to decide anything like that, way too soon. "When should I come see you again? When can we be sure I won't turn if things get out of hand?" A frightening thought occurred to Teddy and made him shudder. What is turning wasn't what Markus was afraid of doing? Could Markus lose control and hurt him? Or maybe even kill him? Teddy kept these thoughts to himself; he felt pretty awful for even thinking them. Markus had been careful with him every step of the way. It just wasn't right to be afraid that would change with no good reason.

"I... I don't know," I said, voice soft. I was only just beginning to realize the very big mistake I had just made. Damnit. Why must bad thoughts enter my head at the most inappropriate of times? I was just getting ready to give Teddy a good time, and wha-bam, I get bombarded with thoughts of either turning him, or ripping out his throat with my teeth and lapping up the blood. I cringed at the thought and squeezed my eyes shut, because I knew if I didn't, they'd stray to Teddy's pulsing, very-alive throat....

Watching Marcus closely, Teddy guessed that he had better give it a couple of days. He pressed a kiss to Marcus' jaw before taking a step or two back. "I'll see you soon. Maybe a couple of days. Um... you can still use that first mark thing, right? Come see me. Bye." Teddy left reluctantly, but still hurriedly. He trusted Marcus to resist, but that didn't mean he could resist forever while Teddy drew out his goodbyes. Teddy sighed deeply; he had a pretty ridiculous infatuation track record. A guy he just plain could not have, then a guy that craved his blood. Next he would probably find himself with a were-rat who was into BDSM. As he headed for his car, Teddy began to think of what he would tell his parents. Maybe he should just leave out the vampire part. It felt dishonest, but did he really want to try to defend Marcus' vampirism to his parents when he could not say for certain that Marcus would not hurt him? He felt more or less ready to stand up to them on his gender preference; that at least was no more likely to get him killed than the alternative.

And just like that, Teddy was gone. I felt something in my chest tighten, and I was suddenly finding it hard to breathe. He had left. But he was right. I could visit him in his dreams. But then what was the point of him leaving if I could still... Ugh. I seemed to be in a real ********. But it was for Teddy's own good. I had to keep telling myself that. I turned and began up the stairs, walking as if making my way to the lethal injection room. My room at Danse Macabre - devoid of any presence of Teddy, except for most likely his smell - felt just as bad, though, as the death penalty. ((I know that was poorly worded...)) Maybe it was the fact that Teddy was gone, or maybe it was just pure stupidity. Truthfully, I don't know why I went down to the dance floor. I don't know why I picked up Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome and took him to my room. The only thing I knew was why I kicked him out when we were done. I had never felt so filthy.

Teddy made his way home uneventfully to find his parents waiting for him in the den. "Well?" His father asked with a smile. "How did your date with that girl Maria go?" Teddy was dumbfounded for a moment, having completely forgotten about that lie. His parents were both watching him with expectant expressions and Teddy decided now was as good a time as any.
"Marcus. His name is Marcus... I have a boyfriend." There was an awkward silence then that seemed to stretch on forever but in reality was only a few seconds long. His parents were both in complete shock, then their expressions changed almost in unison. His mother's face crumpled in distress and she looked as though she might cry whereas his father's brows drew together in anger. He stood up, stepped up to Teddy and, pointing a finger at his son, demanded "Marcus who? Who the hell is Marcus? I'll kill him!"
Not likely. If anything, it was his father who would be in danger. Teddy hugged himself and didn't answer, backing a step away from his father instinctively. The older man grabbed him by the upper arm and repeated even louder "Who the hell is Marcus?"
"Why would I tell you that if I know you're just going to go looking for trouble? This isn't about him, I'm-" Teddy was pretty sure he actually heard the slap before he felt it. It was open handed and not meant to really hurt him, but it still stung and left him momentarily dizzy. His father was speaking again and this time he listened quietly.
"Don't you ever talk back to me. This is my house and as long as you live in it you will follow my rules. No son of mine is going to be a Hell-bound, sodomizing f*****t, do you hear me?" Teddy did not answer. He just looked toward his feet. This prompted his father to shake him once. "Do you hear me?." Teddy felt his eyes burn as if he were about to cry. It was the absolute last thing he needed, but that did not stop a sniffle and a single tear from escaping. His father still looked angry, but before he could say more, Teddy's mother stepped between them.
Gently holding Teddy by the shoulders, his mother tried to reason with him. "Honey, we are only worried about you. Why would you even do something like this? You know it's wrong." Teddy's shoulders slumped but he spoke anyway in as firm a voice as he could manage. "It isn't wrong and it isn't something I just up and decided to do! It's part of who I am. I am gay!"
"That is the Devil talking, Teddy. Satan has wooed you and drawn you into his clutches." His mother spoke with that quality of voice preachers had. Slow and drawn out as if she understood all of his problems better than he did. It was the kind of speech that was supposed to win hearts, change minds and that whole spiel. "Honey, you can't let the Devil get you. Turn back to Jesus and he will save you from temptation!" Teddy heard his father mutter an amen, nodding his head. Teddy's heart sank; he had already known this was going to happen. He tried to speak, but his mother plowed on. "We're going right down to the church this Sunday, praise the Lord, and we're going to hear the good word and chase that Devil right out!" Hallelujah from his father; they were having themselves a nice little revival with or without him.
Teddy pulled away from his mother and practically ran for the stairs. His parents called after him and his father took a few steps, but neither was willing to flat out chase their son to his room. Reaching that small place of solace, Teddy slammed the door and wedged his desk chair under the handle. His parents would never let him have a lock; this would have to do. Teddy kicked off his shoes and climbed into bed fully dressed with a large sigh. Why had he done that? Why had he insisted on doing that? Maybe his real preference was masochism; he seemed to be pretty good and putting himself in a position to be hurt.

((My comp was actingup-she's better now))
Serrenedy entered her large but windowless house and took a nice nap in her coffin. It was 8:00am when she wokeup. She streached and noticed a box of Cleo's clothing, there was a sticky on it-In case i get lost/find a new friend and you want to save me/visit. Serrenedy scoffed as se read it "Yeah right" Then she thoughtto herself-giveing her the clothes might keep her away...but she also wanted to see Teddy-she could save the hyperactive nightmare for later. She went to her closet and oppened a secret compartment that read-In case of sunlight- Grabbing the long, bellsleaved off the shoulder floor leghnth dress, black headshawl, black facial mask ((The kind the women wear in the Aladianish part of the world)), sunglasses, black figerless gloves, heavy black combat boots, and a black parosol.
"That really ought to do it" She said quoteing a movie she couldn't remeber for her afterlife. She consontrated on Teddy "Tempias momutin Lattitude Teddy" She oppened her eyes to see the house and polittly rang the bell

Anita noted the long silence from the fairy. "Do you not think that you will be staying here that long? Or are you just not up for shopping for dishes?" Anita asked Cleo.

Cleo shrugged "I'm sorry-I spaceout sometimes, and I was thinking of how I'd pay you back if i were to make you buy dishessfor me...hmmm-I might be able to get a job on the internet-oh would this cover it?" She asked takeing her neaklace off and reveling the pendant that had been hidden in her dress-Fairy's tresure, only three of the everchanging Rainbow stones exsisted-they gave the fairy's their unnatraly long lifespan and was worth the fairy population in Diamonds, gold, and oil ((Esspecily with todays econimy)) two were gone-one given to Vampires as a peice offering, the other stolen-how Cleo managed to get her hands on the last one was a mystery

"Keep it." Anita said, shaking her head. "I'm talking about going to Wal-Mart, not some fancy china store. Think of it as a gift. If you ever have to move, you can take these dishes with you, alright?"
