Suoh looked out across the Village of Sand. Suoh had done so much work with water Zabuza had suggested he discover a little about his weakness, the unforgiving sand. more specifically Suoh had heard about a ninja named Jirobou who could control the earth with his chakra and this is what Suoh felt was most in his line of training. Suoh walked down the hill and through the rice fields. When he reached the top of the next hill before descending down into the valley he encountered a Ninja running along the boundary apparently doing a perimiter check to make sure no one who didn't belong entered the village.
The ninja saw Suoh and stopped running and called from a little ways off, "What is your business in the Country of Sand"
Suoh knew as an outsider he might be in danger and even more so considering what little water there was in the village was is the rice fields behind him, "I am from the village of the mist," Suoh responded, "I am seeking training from a ninja named Jirobou"
"Jirobou doesn't teach many of his skills to outsiders. Use your ninja techniques in the village and you will be drowned in sand you can find Jirobou in the restaurant portion of the inn."
The ninja ran off along the perimiter for a ways before taking a sharp right and heading down the valley and into the closely clustered buildings.
Suoh walked down the main street with many children giving him odd looks because of the wetsuit that showed through his clothes. he obviously was prepared for swimming when many of the people had never even thought of being so wasteful with water.
Suoh eventually came to the inn after avoiding a deranged old lady with a broom. When he stepped into the dimness of the restaurant he saw the guard who was outside.
Suoh found a bartender coming over to him. Suoh leaned into the man and whispered the name of Jirobou. The man raised his eyes slowly until he was looking at the only man in seated. Suoh realized that the man eating was Jirobou. He wasn't as menacing as Suoh imagined but he held a certain insanity about him when Suoh sat down across from the man.
"I thought I told you that Jirobou doesn't teach people from outside the village," Jirobou said inbtween mouthfulls of barbecued pork.
Suoh smiled before responding knowing he was only going to angry the bull of a ninja, "You said you don't always, which means you do for special exceptions like myself."
"What is so special about you?" Jirobou asked
"It doesn't matter because you know you want to teach me your techniques." Suoh responded once again bracing himself incase the diner decided to flip the table.
Jirobou smiled back with a wide toothy grin. Suoh yelled across the establishment, "Please get this man several more order of pork, my treat."
Suoh sat and watched as Jirobou happily ate his lunch.

After jirobou had finished his meal he led Suoh silently back out to where they had first met only a little more westward. They were safely out of the vincinity of the town and still within distance of the rice fields. Suoh knew this would not be an easy battle. He had no free water and using the water from the rive fields could potentially destroy the village crops and he was not about to make hundreds starve. he knew he did have one trump card. If he could get Diety in a Body Entry the whale would fall hard onto Jirobou.
Suoh watched as Jirobou pulled out a kunai. Suoh knew he could possibly take a beating in this battle. Suoh pulled out two of his needles knowing his weaponry was vary precious and he would need to be very careful with it.
Jirobou closed the gap first. The large man came bounding quickly toward Suoh. As Jirobou came closer he raised his meaty fist with the twinkly black Kunai. Suoh reacted fast and was able to get off a single needle hard enough into the side of Jirobou's hand to cause a muscle twitch and have him drop the knife.
The distance between the two had been bridge although suoh had disarmed his enemy. Jirobou landed and hard tackle into Suoh. Suoh went sprawling backgrounds rolling hard in the dust. Suoh got up but Jirobou had already bolted across the field and called out Rising Impact Palm. Suoh once again was not fast enough to block the hit. Suoh was sent in a flip through the air but he was able to land on his feet. He had already cut his palm and pushed his chakra hard into the ground as he landed. He called for his summon Diety.
The implosion of white smoke about Jjirobou's head made it apparent the whale had been successfully summoned. The whale fell back to earth like it had been shot from a cannon. It landed hard on Jirobou.

The whale's eyes darted around the landscape for a moment looking for water. Before it could disappear and return to its home in the sea something strange was happening beneath it. Suoh felt a chakra eminating through the ground. Before Suoh could realize it was coming from jirobou the ninja had lifted the whale above his head. Suoh looked on and knew that kind of power demanded his training.
Diety poofed away and Jirobou looked across the distance that seperated them at Suoh. Suoh knew his task was coming up because the look in Jirobou's eyes wasn't anger but rather amazement that Suoh had summoned a whale so far away from water.
"To begin your training with me," Jirobou began, "You will learn earth wall land flip now that you have proven yourself in a sparring match. Do not return to the village until you get it right." Jirobou ran off in the direction of the village and Suoh thought of how it was most likely to eat more.
Before Jirobou had left he had briefly told Suoh the necessary component of the technique. Suoh realized it was a defensive technique but at least it was a start to rounding out his arsenal and raising his strength in the earth elements.
Suoh performed the hand symbols with his chakra focused in his hands. When they were completed he bent over and forced his palms into the ground raising a bit of dust. He felt the chakra go off like a small explosive surgin through the earth. He expected the land to raise in front of him but nothing happened.
Suoh thought for a moment about the difference between water and the sand in which he was training. First off water was not solid and thus chakra flowed through more evenly. Secondly, the water Suoh always seemed to use was in a limited amount but when using the earth he had to expand his chakra outwards but still focus it enough to not be wasteful and just pump all his energy into the ground.

Suoh performed the hand symbols more distinctly this time to give him time to think about the necessary chakra for this technique. When Suoh had completed the necessary initiators he dropped to one knee and with his palms on the ground focused on a cube of earth in front of him. He felt his chakra trying to fizzle out into the vast expanse of ground but Suoh kept a tight control over his intentions. Trying to mold his chakra into a perfect cube instead of the abstract form of water. A small ine of dust rose as he could see the land cleave itself to clearly create the outline Suoh had intended but the land didn't flip up.
Suoh once again stood up and wiped the sweat form his brow. The amount of chakra he had meant to expend was much smaller than what he actually did. having a natural inclination toward water his chakra stores were weakened even a little further. He realized just how hard it was to lift the earth. When molding water into techniques the chakra energy charges up with water and makes it almost weightless to the caster; however, molding earth meant first the user had to delicately control the output and then had to lift however much they could muster because the nonpolar sand naturally repels the energy of the chakra. Suoh realized he hadn't done much physical training recently and quickly realized how much of a target he was when he was so far awayf rom water with his chakra stores beginning to wane.
Suoh focused his chakra and slammed his palms into the ground. He felt the chakra move out of his body into the ground. He mind was almost overcome with dozens of tasks. his hands had to maintain the molding of the chakra while he felt the strain of a constant flow in his shoulders. His legs tensed up as he prepared to lift whatever earth he could muster. Suoh focused on an area just barely the size of his body. He figured controlling the sand and chakra combination was the first most important thing when trying to learn this technique and after the basic chakra controls were masterred it would be much easier it work on increasing the size. Size again was especially a problem with his chakra stores already running low.
Suoh raised his butt in the air a little as he fought against the stress of the earth. He seemed to be pushing with his mind and pulling with his body until the earth in front of his jaggedly cracked and begant o shift into its propper position. Suoh almost raised it completely so it would be a wall but his legs and bceps couldn't take the strain and the wall crumbled into dozens of little clots as Suoh lost focus and his chakra waivered.
Suoh scrapped inside of himself and called out loudly with sweat dripping from his brow, "Earth Wall Land Flip" as he smashed his fists into the earth. Instantly a thousand things flooded his senses but each one seemed so new but so correctly placed. The sheet of earth inf ront of him raised up until it was perpendicular with its starting position. Suoh looked and saw that the wall like chunk was only about 6 inches deep and would most likely barely block any normal attack.

before Suoh could attempt the technique again jirobou had appeared, "I go and eat some more lunch and I find you have already made great strides. Now you must pass a strength test and then another spar test for speed."
Suoh, already on his knees, whiped his sweat onto the forearm of his wetsuit. He realized just how hard it was to be so far from water. Suoh also realized he needed to kick his addiction because ninja's attacked from everywhere not just the water banks.
Suoh called "Earth Wall Land Flip" as he once again molded his chakra into the rectangle of earth infront of him. Suoh felt his stomach muscles cramping up because he had not yet had lunch because he used his lunch moeny to treat jirobou. He squinted his eyes and focused on the collection of rocks and sand in front of him in order to block everything else out.
Jirobou ran at the wall and raised his knee smashing easily through the thin defense of earth. The knee connected awkwardly with Suoh's head. Jirobou landed safely on his feet but Suoh rolled twice before taking a sharp breath full of dust. He lay there for a moment and then got up before anything in his mind could mention giving up.
"Keep in mind your task was not only to raise the earth but to also make it strong enough that an attack wont get through. I didn't even hit that with my full power. Again"
Suoh stayed where he was and didn't even stand up before completeing the technique once again. The wall came up and Suoh felt his chakra almost harden like the sand infront of him. Suoh found that this time it was much lighter. Jirobou came forward and landed a straight forward punch vary hard into the sand. It cracked a little but Suoh was overjoyed when it didn't collapse.
Suoh realized that this was most likely the hardest technique he had learned yet. Not only did he have to perform dozens of smaller tasks to raise the wall but once it was raised it required almost absolute focus from anyone not used to sand to keep it hard enough to block anything.
Jirobou gave another crazed smile, "It seems you have made progress now speed is important."
Jirbou came fast at Suoh with a look Suoh had yet to experience in the eyes of a teacher

Jirbou threw several lightning fast punches. Suoh felt strangely light from using up so much chakra and bobbed in between the missile like limbs before taking several jumps backwards to distance himself. Jirobou was only about ten feet away but Suoh realized that was all the distance he needed. Jirobou leaned forward as if he was going into a charging tackle but Suoh was prepared. he hands flew through the symbols he had already commited into memmory and his palms were int he dirt. Suoh felt an initial strain as the earth lifted but he pushed what little chakra he had left through his arms keeping constantly aware of where all the sand was in his defensive wall. The wall itself was almost perfect. It was about a foot in thickness and just a little wider than Suoh and most definitely taller. Suoh realized if he could just focus on expanded his chakra in every direction at once the width of his defensive wall would become right over time.
Jirobou's shoulder hit the wall hard. Suoh winced as if the force of the wall had gone through the air and into his body. He opened his eyes to see his fingers were scrunching up in a whirwind of misfiring nerves. He kept focused ont he wall and he didn't feel any holes from which his chakra could leak. Jirobou had already backed away and was looked intently at the wall. Suoh tried smoothing his chakra out perfectly because something from deep inside his gut told Suoh that the sensei was looking for a weak point from which to attack.
"You learned fast. I suggest you eat dinner and get rested before we do any more training. I also expect you to make this wall more perfect before I teach you any new techniques."
Suoh pulled his bleeding hands out of the dirt and held them close to his body and the began swelling from the overuse of the muscles. He was just glad Jirobou was not able to get through his wall and now it was time for Suoh to wonder how he was going to feed himself.

Momo supressed a scream with difficulty. She had been meditating for over an hour! "You know" came Kwan's quiet voice "Most ninja are happy for the chance to meditate like this". Good for them, Momo thought. Kwan coughed "You do realize you said that out loud, right?" Momo blushed at settled back for the fourth time.

"You ok...kid?"
A voice would enter the small child's ears as he woken from a deep slumber. He sat up and turned to his left to find a man standing over him. The man had rather circular glasses which were positioned closed to his face and his white hair covered the tips of his brow. This man was Kabuto.
Makura would turn to face this man with a smirk.
"Yeah..."
Makura would say as he stood upright.
"You know...I can show you a technique which can heal you if used properly..."
Kabuto would say in a smirk. Motioning for Makura to follow, he would head deeper into the forest.
Makura would simply follow.
"You must first gather chakra into your hands such as this...."
Kabuto's hands would glow a light blue aura as he motioned them towards his face.
"With this, you can easily manipulate the chakra to circulate the cells within your body, enabling them to heal...such as this."
With this, Kabuto would walk up towards Makura and place his hand onto Makura's right shoulder. Gradually Makura's entire arm would glow with this blue chakra healing almost instantly.
Makura would nod towards Kabuto. With this, Makura would place his hands before his face, gathering chakra in order to enable the blue aura about them. Makura's chakra control was excellent, due to his many years with training with his sound amps. Soon enough, Makura's entire right hand would glow with the blue aura.

Makura would place his hand over his left shoulder in an attempt to perform the rather difficult jutsu. Yet nothing would happen. Makura continued to allow a steady flow of chakra emit from his palm yet it had no effect onto his left arm at all. Makura would stare at his hand, puzzled.
Kabuto would also have a curious look onto his face.
"You're not letting you chakra enter your flesh while continuing it in a circular motion..."
Makura would nod as he instead forced the chakra within his own body, letting a portion of the cells become more active and healing only a small portion of his wounds, yet this would not be visible.
"Just keep at it...but once you get this...I can also show you the opposite of this jutsu."
This gave Makura more motive to complete this jutsu accuately, for he wanted to learn this greatly. He continued this proccess of inserting chakra into his flesh and letting it circulate to create healing powers.

Kabuto would sigh. He had witnessed what this child could do previously while Makura had been training. He felt this child could possess much more power, yet he just needed to know how. Kabuto would tap the child's head before heading towards a tree. Swiftly taking a kunai, twirling it within his hand before firmly grasping it, Kabuto would create a small cut on the bark of the tree.
"Plant cells are much easier to manipulate with chakra, for they absorb much more than human and flesh cells. Try the jutsu on this..."
Makura would simply nod with this as his hands released the jutsu, reverting to their original state. Makura would walk towards the tree before clasping his hands together in order to achieve complete concentration.

Gradually Makura's hands would glow a blue aura once again as he performed the Mythical Healing Hands technique. Placing both palms onto the bark of the tree, Makura would let his chakra flow through the tree and into each cell and resulting it bringing them life. Slowly, the chakra would begin to activate the proccess which created the bark and gradually repairing it. Makura would smirk as he witnessed this affect.
Kabuto would also smirk as he lifted his glasses higher towards his face, letting the radiant sunlight shine through.

Swiftly Kabuto would grab Makura's arm and pull him away from the tree. With this, Kabuto would take his kunai and swiftly create several marks on the tree and on all sides, covering it in scratches and leaving the ground covered in bark.
"Now...heal this tree..."
Makura's eyes would widen as he nodded. This would only challenge the curious child even more. But Makura was quite persistant. This time applying the jutsu to both palms on his hands creating the blue chakra once again, Makura applied them to various parts of the tree. The speed at which the tree began to heal was quite weak and took a vast amount of time for even one portion to be healed. But this did not phase the young child, for he continued onwards.

Sweat was now dripping from Makura's head as he constantly applied chakra for what seemed like hours to the tree. After hours of this training, the tree continued to appear as if little had been done to treat it. This caused Makura to become quite frustrated.
He would let his hands fall to the sides of his body as he released the jutsu. He inhaled deeply momentarily before letting his hands glow the blue aura once again.
[Mythical Healing Hands Technique]
With this, Makura placed his palm over the bark-less areas of the tree and at a quickened pace the bark began to reform. Makura continued to apply the chakra to the tree and let the chakra circulate about in order to get the full effects of the jutsu. Within minutes, half the tree had now been healed.
"Good.."
