Micheal was 23 1/2 when he was arrested, and he was arrested in teh company of ... Louie Laroche, (Loo-e Lah-Rowsh) who was almost seventeen. He was the third son of a pureblooded french family, and as his two older brothers were already married, his father did not really care what happened to him.

Louie and Micheal were in love, and were planning to be married when the Aurors came upon them when they were lounging around having an indoor winter picnic.....

D: It's sad, really, because Micheal tried to help Louie escape, but the Aurors caputured them both and did really bad things to Louie before they killed him, and Micheal was blamed for it, though the Death was written down as 'defense'

Samuel knows that Micheal loved Louie and said what he did out of pure loathing for him. Because....

You could always do the same to Liz and Edvard, or whatever, to help things along.
