I read a really good interpretation called "beast" - obviously from the beast's perspective, but with some interesting plot twists that make it much... edgier, you could say whee

In this version, the beast (before being transformed) was Islamic or muslim or something, so he prayed five times a day and didn't eat meat. Now, as a critter, he keeps trying to avoid meat and pray, but it's really psychological/religiously taxing. That's just one of many cool Nyah, now I wanna read that book mrgreen

Bacon...I love veggitarians. It means more steaks for me. Although I'm not obsessive about meat. I like my veggies too its all about balancing though.
