Ryn winced as the fire touched his wounds, his eyes slamming shut, as he tried to stay conscious, completely surprised that the fire hurt him. Under his breath, he whispered,"Continue...."

"It... Hurts.... Amazing...", He thought, sitting there, and doing his best not to move, despite the extreme heat that was being applied to his injuries. His eyes shook in their sockets behind his eyelids, as he continued to fight to keep himself from moving, his hands curled into fists. He could feel Izzy's hand on his, but couldn't say anything, for fear of simply passing out if he opened his mouth.

Tamwyn finished the rest of his wounds quickly. Retracting the spike, she stood up. "Although it may be painful, that will prolong your life until you can be healed. I suggest we move on. Do you know the name of where you are going?"

Kin had not relented, instead a wicked grin flashed on his face. It only made the rage burn hotter than ever inside Amati's soul as he began to advance on the male, head low and eyes narrowed. In a blink, Kin vanished and a cold chill ran down Amati's spine. His vision blurred for as an icy horror washed over him, but at the thought of Sakeri. He shook it off and whirled around to see if she was okay.

There he was, kneeled at her side. His wicked grin still in place.
No... he whispered as Kin's hand descended on. At that moment every muscle bunched together, and Amati launched himself at the man with an unknown force.

"SAKE!" he roared.

Sakeri gasped, hands bracing themselves against Kin's shoulders. A vortex formed within her mind, sucking out the very image of the soulless boy and his faded blue eyes. It was as though a weight was lifted from her, and a serenity spread throughout her entire system.

Her emerald orbs shined tiredly through half-lidded eyes, taking in the calm green fields around her. The most dreadful of memories was gone, but the desire to train as she'd never trained before remained intact.

A voice suddenly called out to her, catching her attention within moments. She turned to see Amati charging at them at full force and the alarms suddenly went off, but she didn't have the energy to move.

"What are you doing?" she muttered quietly to the wolf. Amati froze at the sound of her voice, reassured that she was now safe. Collapsing to the floor, he gave a sound sigh of relief.

It was then, Sakeri realized the position she was in and quickly jumped from Kin's arms. She let out a noiseless laugh as she anxiously brushed herself off.

"So..." she sheepishly. "Mining town."

As Izzy sat there, she couldn't help but feel helpless. She wanted to help Ryn so much, but she didn't know any other way to help him, so she just sat there.
When Tamwyn was finished with her spike of fire, she didn't move. "do you know the name of where you are going?" came Tamwyn's voice. She switched her gaze from Ryn to Tamwyn and replied, "we're going to, um.. Vancouver.." she had paused shortly mid sentance to think of exactly they were going. It had stayed in the back of her mind and she just had to pull it out to the front. "It was Vancouver right?" she asked Ryn after a moments thought, switching her gaze back to him.

Slowly, Ryn managed to say,"Yes.... Vancouver... is correct..."

He looked up at Tamwyn, a small smile on his face and said,"Thanks.... For helping me...."

Glancing to Izzy, he reached his left hand up slowly, and put it on her shoulder, a dazed smile on his face. His vision swam, but he continued to sit there, looking directly at Izzy, his hand on her shoulder, before saying,"Thanks... Izzy.."

Tamwyn nodded brusquely. "Then we go now," she said.
She turned away from them and held up her hand. a'Ariella? she asked silently.
a'Ariella jumped at being talked to after so long. Yes?
I hate to ask this of you, but I no longer have the strength to call upon the great winds, Tamwyn told her. Would you please take us to this Vancouver place?
a'Ariella gusted in relief. Yes, she told Tamwyn. I would be glad to take you.
a'Ariella swirled around the group, gathering them up in her airy arms, and began to fly towards Vancouver, protecting them from the rush of air created by her speed.

((mmk's! I was just-a askin' cause since she had hurt her left shoulder, there'd be a different reaction then for her right shoulder. See? It does make sence! well, to me anyway. ))

A small smile adorned Izzy's face. "your welcome, but I don't understand why you're showing gratitu-" Izzy stopped short as the group was all of a sudden moving quite fast. It seemed like they were moving faster than most means of transpertation. And what seemed even stranger, was that, she couldn't feel any air blowing against her, like they were surrounded by some invisible barrier.
Izzy tried looking around at the scenery that they were passing, but they were moving too fast for her mind to actualy recognize anything they were passing by at an alarming rate. She ended up with a headache from trying to figure out the scenery and she just closed her eyes and let her head hang a little with some expression like a wince pasted on her face.

Ryn's eyes flew wide as they shot off in the air, a savage grin splashing onto his face, as he shouted,"We're flying! Without wings too! This is great!"

He grinned, glancing around at the land whiz by faster than he could see, before looking to see Izzy looking somewhat ill. Frowning with concern, he reached out again, pulling her closer and saying,"You ok? I know you don't like flying...."

He shifted his left wing out, so that it made a sort of seat for Izzy, and he smiled at her, saying,"Lean into my wing. I'm sure it will be a bit more comfortable for you."

"Whew! That was-" Kin was in the middle of wiping away a cold sweat off his forehead in relief when he heard the ferocious growl of the beast, "Oh?" The cold dispassionate gaze of his frightening left eye landed on the mammoth canine that acted out of hot temper, and his bored expression didn't flinch a bit even after Amati stopped only a little less than a foot short from him and the girl. He broke into a muffle d laugh watching the beast break down into a harmless pup after its relief of seeing Sakeri okay.

He looked down on Saki, her hands gripped tightly unto his shoulders, and almost leaning unto his chest, and his heart froze, pounding at lightning pace in short burst after skipping a few. He knelt there, stiff, as his mouth was about to gawk open in... unexplained overwhelm that took over him before totally caught off guard and easily thrashing unto the ground as he was briskly pushed away by even the lightest of forces. He paused there for a while as he lied on the soft rough grass, listening with complete confusion at her odd chortling, all the while trying to retain his ussual heart beats. "Huh?" he looked up unto her, in a swift flash seeing someone radiant, "Oh, right. Yes, some fun should be posed at the mining town. Perhaps some resue workers or some business man came there to investigate, but the police is my favorite, always there in every crisis," the sly smirk came back unto him as he held his hand unto his normal right eye, chuckling darkly. He sat up, gazing at a small insect that seemed t have been suspended in motion, "Let's squash some bugs..."

He stood up, brutally stepping on the helpless ladybug in the process, and glared unto Sakeri, then to Amati, his smirk not wearing off one bit, "Of course, I'd also like to have some exercise with you guys. Don't worry. I'll play nice." He drew his left hand into a fist, making several hard cracking sounds before slowly loosening it. He raised the hand unto his side, opening his palm in an unnatural 90 degrees from his outstretched arm, his fingers spreading wide. An unnatural force gathered unto the very center of his palm like converging waves, his palm glowing brighter in a ghostly blue hue, before finally releasing them all into one powerful portal that focused itself into a circular pathway of 4 feet radius. Wild static electricity danced about the bue portal, but Kin's grin uttered a sense of confidence that they wouldn't get hurt, only a mere shock of the drastic change of the density of energy in their surrounding once entered. (LOL -though they are probably already familiar with the feeling from the first time they entered.) Kin noded for them to follow immediately, as he was the first to go in.

[[Sorry, if I'm a bit dramatic. sweatdrop I wanted to make up for my "Written before I fainted" peice.]]

Sakeri's eye twitched at the sight of yet another portal, remembering what had happened not too long ago. Instinctively, she took a step away from the portal, head shaking at the notion. Falling to her death wasn't exactly on her list of things to do, right now.

"I..." she said slowly, taking a tiny step back. "I'm not really in the mood to die..." Of course, she realized that Kin had saved her last time, but it wasn't something that she'd willingly do again. Amati stood gravely, eyes focused coldly on the young man. His gaze shifted quietly to Sakeri, before he turned his attention to the young man.

"I don't trust you," he stately frankly, taking a step forward. "But, I realize we can't waste a single second just standing around. If you try something that results in my death, Sake will know..." His cold words caught Sakeri's attention as the tension began to mount. Gray smoke flowed off his form, revealing bit by bit his mortal form, kneeling on the soft emerald grass. Amati's eyes glinted in the sun as he rose from the earth. Meanwhile, Sakeri's eyes followed the gray smoke, wide-eyed, as it began to swirl around her. Sakeri gasped. The feeling was over whelming. He had given her everything... down to the very soul that the two had shared. It was almost as if he expected to die. Anxiety flooded her. With every gray wisp she abosorbed, the power engulfed more of her. She fell forward onto her hands as the transformation began, turning her into a red-tinted wolf.

Her emerald eyes gazed fearfully after Amati as he began walking toward the swirling mass of electricity. The world seemed to freeze, and Sakeri's heart seized at the thought of his death.

"No," she breathed, leaping after him. Amati turned, a soft smile lingering on his lips, as he waved his good-bye.

"See you on the other side," he said quietly, stepping through. Fear filled her to the very core of her being as she stared after him. Sakeri stumbled over herself unexpectedly. The world shattered around her as she rolled, right into the portal.

When Shale stepped out of the tiny apartment she stayed in she had every intention of walking the block and a half to the bus stop and catching the Number 12 to Oliver Street to have a nice dinner with Professor Moore and his wife. Instead she walked down the hall to apartment 8. Arching up on tip toe she reached up against the ledge where Matt Dunem kept his spare key. An hour ago he had left with his friend Chuck on a camping trip.

Her finger slid against cold metal and then she pulled it up, taking the key and inserting it into the lock. With a casual twist she opened the door and went inside, bypassing scatterings of video games that covered the floor as well as a left over pizza box. So far the place wasn't covered in the scent of greasy food left out, but it would by the time Matt got back.

Picking her way over the trails of articles, she walked over to the kitchen drawer where Matt kept his tools and the spare keys to his old black Malibu, currently parked outside the apartment. It took her less than 15 minutes to place everything as it was, as well as the key, and sliding into the beat up seats of the car.

Driving was a different story. The memories from Matt's mind showed her what she needed to do, she slid into the memories, living in them. Putting the key in the ignition, she turned, moved it into reverse and smashed into the car behind her. She looked at it for a while, decided she had backed up far enough, and put it in drive.

She managed to get the car out of the lot without hitting anything else, though there was a close call with a tree. Next thing she was on the Highway on her way to Vancouver, Canada. She wasn't sure how she knew that was her destination or even why she was going there, but she was. Though with situations like this she could never be sure, things changed, but for now that was the direction she felt the pull towards. Eventually she would have to get a map, possibly gas, but for now she just kept going.
