Billy laughs and they get their drinks. He walks over to the table where Kaede is waiting slowly, still a little nervous. "Hey." he says quietly, almost shyly.

She smiles at him wide. "Hi Billy." she says. She motions for them to sit. "Your friend?" she asks.

"Yeah, this is Dominic."

Billy slips his hand over and grips Dom's. "How have you been?" he asks.

She smiles at him. "Pretty good. Dave's been really good about all this too." she admits. "I wasn't sure he would be..."

"Oh?" Billy asks, "Why not?"

Kaede looks down. "Because I broke up with him." she replies.

Billy frowns. "Why did you break up with him?" he asks. He gives Dom a thankful smile.

She laughs. "This is actually the funny part." she says. "Because I thought we were getting in too deep. I mean, he was talking about marriage and junk and I just didn't want to settle down."

Billy raises an eyebrow at this, "Why didn't you tell me?" he asks. "You told me he was d**k. All this time I've been worrying that he was hurting you and all along he's been the one being hurt." Billy tries to keep the anger out of his voice. "I was really worried about you." he says.

Kae looks down, a little sadly. "I'm really sorry Billy. I am.." she says. "I didn't plan on getting pregnant."

This doesn't make Billy feel better at all. "I don't know what to think right now. You're the first girl I ever loved and I find out now that it was lies?" he says.

"No!" she replies. "I loved you too. I did, Billy and I didn't want to break up with you, but my baby needs it's dad, and you aren't him."

"And if this Dave guy wouldn't go back to you?" he asks. "What would you have done?"

She sighs, "I don't know. I really don't." she admits.

Billy stays silent for a bit, trying to get the anger to go away.

"I would have stayed with you." Billy almost whispers.

Kae's eyes sting with tears. "God Billy, I didn't deserve you."

Billy doesn't know what to say, so he just stays quiet, looking after Dom.

"You two together?" she asks, seeing Billy stare after him.

Billy shakes his head. "Just good friends." he replies. "I haven't been with anyone since you." he admits.

"Oh." she replies. "I want you to know that I am happy." she says. I really am. I want you to be happy too."

Billy nods. "I think I will be." he says. "I'll get over it." he stands up. "Come by the shop anytime and I'll finish up the colouring. I'll call you about when I get more info about times you need to be there for the pics." he says. "Thanks... for telling me about Dave. I feel better knowing that he's not really a jerk." and then he walks away, leaving his full cup of coffee at the table and going to the washroom to get dom.

Billy nods. "I need a smoke." he says. "Oh god..." he sighs. "Thanks though. I really couldn't have done this without you."
