you'd love SwampCon. smile it's kind of a local thing (Swamp because Gainesville is home of the University of Florida, who's team is The Gators. we even call our Stadium "The Swamp"). but you could try to get a conventional like that started where you are, or even a branch of another nearby Convention. some national ones have various municipal charters. ^_^

also, I've done more difficult things and got them accomplished. I'm proud of the things I can do even just alone, and now I've got half the campus' support! I admit I'ma bout to brag right now and have a vain moment, but I've become a bit of a celebrity at school.

well, I've managed to reform the entire Student Government by being that one guy who stands up and keeps conversations going in Senate when everyone else wanted to just force by votes on things that they didn't even go under. also, I was very unorthodox, and instead of sending out email ListServs, I actually walked around campus and would talk to the Student Body and ask what they wanted, and share the issues with them to get how they feel about it.

I also managed to dissolve a cronyism plot wherein a small clique within the college republicans party were chokeholding the entire Student Government. I worked together with members of the college democrats, college republicans, Gallerians, Photography Club and Science and Exploration Society to return democracy to the Student Government.

it took me only 3 and a half semesters. after that, I resigned, but people STILL call me "Senator Hall"! xd

my out-of-school accomplishments involve volunteering at the library, as well as personally counseling and taking care of former abuse victims. I'm deeply involved in the BDSM community, and I have become recognized for my methods of caretaking and abuse counseling.

also, not nearly as big an accomplishment, I'm ordained by the Universal Life Church Monastery. xd

but other than that, I've been volunteering with the Veterans For Peace, the founder of our local charter of who is good friends with my stepdad. last year I set up a mile-long stretch of hilly road with posterboard gravestones, and then picked them back up in the rain when the holiday was over.
