Edit Wild turkeys can fly, domesticated turkeys (the ones you will most likly be eating later) are incapable of flight because they have been bred to be larger.

I was riding a dirt-bike, and there were some turkeys in my path but I kept going, cuz I knew they would run away, well...I was wrong. It was three of em, and they were fairly large, but they instantly flew to the top of some nearby trees...it looked so funny I just busted out laughing. They hardly even flew forward, mostly just upward. XD
