D&D is a pen an paper tabletop roleplaying game, and WoW is an online roleplaying game. Pokemon's the only one out of the three you mentioned that actually has a card game and tournaments, but nobody ever plays it anymore because it's a ******** of poorly-written rules.
@Jay: lol! I was going to suggest Magic but I left school before responding.. o3o the only card game I ever got into was Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yugioh was my game of choice when I was like 10. But nobody played it in my neighborhood, so I gave the cards away
Then I picked up Magic a few weeks ago when I brought a small set of cards that one of my cousins left lying around and didn't bother taking back (he's like 8 or 9 lol). Somehow I turned a set of ~39 cards into ~340 within a week and got into the mini-clique of Magic players, Redditors, tabletop gaming fans, 4channers and various community college misfits.
I know I probably won't even place in the tournament, but I'm in there so I can collect cards (the entry fee for the kind of format we're playing covers the cost of booster packs we use to make decks with) to either keep or sell to break even or make a profit (there's a 'stock market'-like trade for cards) and to learn the cards and strategies.

I can respect that, mon.
Darn it! You all have moved forward to a point where I can't figure out what to write!

Lol I got back from the tournament at like 11 PM. Almost placed third and didn't get official prizes, but I ended up with so many cards I needed to find me a box to put some of them in....
...so I made one out of an appropriately-sized box lying around my room
Gonna draw on it some more when I get more markers and whiteout

how dare you!!
Pokemon is WAY better written than yugioh!! yugioh sucks and Pokemon is awesome. I will concede that the new Pokemon cards are very BS.... but the fact remains that Pokemon is a much better game than yugioh, and I actually like the new rules that I'm learning now that I've had time to catch up and get over the culture shock...
I love Pokemon, and will continue to look for more people who still play the card game.
also, Nari, you are correct -- they all have card games. there's a TCG about everything.

I've been meaning to invest in MTG Cards... my friend Ben Freakin' Harris (yes, that is his name. long story that he tells better) has been giving me heads up because get's insider information and knows how markets work -- as well as how tourny MTG players operate. I was too slow to get the M10 set cards he told me about... he mentioned a card that was gonna sell cheep for a few weeks until people realized how good it was and then it would spike to nearly 5x that value! 3nodding
sure enough, his prediction fell short of the increased value! xd I would have been sitting on a gold mine with him if I borrowed some cash from a friend I knew I could...

nah, we didn't do much else. just head out in search of your files. try coming up with some kind of side distraction when you do. examples could be a chat with an NPC, or running away from authorities. possibly even a confrontation with more Vampires or their supporters. smile
I collected Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon cards like nobody's business! Heck, I still love watching classic episodes of both shows, especially Yu-Gi-Oh!. I wish I had someone to play against back then, though. ;n;

Yeah, just get us outside and to the tree. We've stalled for too long. >n< If you're not sure about what side event to happen, do what Twi said.

I HAVE to agree with Jay on this one, Pokemon is an auto play TCG with broken rules and overpowered cards. Whats that, you wanna use your old cards? I guess you can but they are so underpowered you wont stand a chance! Unless you play with the most meta deck, you will lose, 0 strategy and skill needed. yugioh on the other hand, lets use my deck as an example. I run an old deck, like, pre GX old, but my cards run in such harmony with the new cards, its a pretty unbeatable deck. But even though I know my deck is sound, I am gonna still need to think on my feet mid-duel, unlike pokemon where you can pretty much predict an outcome upon first draw.

don't even bring that argument to the table, that just means you've been watching tourny players and nothing more. tourny MTG players can think, but tourny Pokemon players can't. I popped a couple moderately-powered new trainers in my old deck and it ran smoothly. standard jungle-type Energy-Advantage strategy. nothing with more than 90 HP, and nothing that can do more than 70 damage at a time.
