busy staring lonelily at her salad, it took a lux a few minutes to realise that there was someone talking to her, asking for her name.
"oh hi," she said, suddenly flustered. "my name is lux,"
she dropped the piece of lettuce she was holding and extended her hand as she had been taught to do at bauxbatons in their charm (social) class, which was a lot duller than their regular charm (spells) class.
"how do you do?" lux nodded politely to the seat beside her, "would you like to sit down?"
lux blushed, hoping she didn't sound too eager or too lonely, she was convinced she was going to be the most unpopular girl at hogwarts.

Liz smiled and took the girl's hand. "Nice to meet you Lux." She shook it and then looked at the ground. "So Uhm.. what brought you to horgwarts?" Liz smiled and then noticed that Lux had offered her a seat. Liz giggled slightly and noticed the girl was flustered. "Well, I kinda already am sitting down." Liz laughed hopping to get the girl to lighten up a little bit. Liz didn't care if she wasn't welcome at the Gryffindor table, but she sat there anyway. The great hall was so empty that it really didn't matter.
((Whoot! Finally a new member who's active! Yay. XD
Heh heh. Oh yeah I have to go to school....))

((ahhh sorry I was being inactive, I was in a place with no internet for four days. oh the horor. &yay for new members [edit]who post))
A worried look came over Sephy's face. "Alyssa ...," she started to say. She moved closer to her friend. "Something that's causing you so much stress ... You never used to stutter like this." she was talking in whispers now. She had left to deal with her issues, but it seemed that everyone else had gotten more. She hoped there was a way she could help Alyssa.

Alyssa tried to smile, though she was sure it didn't come out as she had planned. "Don't worry about me.. I'll get over it. Sooner o-or later." She laughed slightly trying to uplift her own sadness. "Let's eat or something." She said quickly changing the subject.

"oh right, you are sitting" lux stuttered nervously.
'god !' she thought to herself, 'pull yourself together lux, you were never like this at beauxbatons..'
she forced herself to laugh at her mistake though she was not far from mortified at having asked the already seated girl to sit down again.
"well, my father died recently, and so i moved to london to live with my mother and-" lux stopped herself, she was about to explain to the girl, liz, how she knew her mother didn't want her, and that she was convinced her father's death was murder not an accident or suicide. but liz was probably just being nice,
'she doesn't want your life story lux,' she scolded herself.
"-and yeah, so here i am," she finished somewhat lamely.
"what year are you in liz?" she asked, making an attempt to be normal and friendly.

Oh, that was subtle, Sephy thought, worried. She could tell that there was definitely something Alyssa was not going to get over anytime soon, but if she didn't want to talk about it, she didn't have too.
"So what's going on with classes, are they on hiatus AGAIN or something, or should I actually go make the effort to get a schedual, because I completely forgot my previous one." she said, grabbing an apple. As per usual, she wasn't hungry.

Liz smiled sweetly. "I'm sorry to hear about you father... Oh I'm sorry please continue." She but her lip. Nice. Lux was in the middle of a entance and Lz had already interupted. Jeez. Things never changed with her. Liz sighed and frowned, death always made her sad. Well, wlcome to hogwarts!" Liz said brightning up again. Her smile seemed to be perfect, though for the most part it was, it was just apart f Liz wanted to cry. Her father had died when she was young and that was always a sore spot for her. Liz quickly pushed the thought of her father out of her head. "Oh.. what year am I. I actually cannot remember, sad I know, but I believe I am in my 6th year." She paused for a breath and then continued, "You?"
Alyssa smiled at Sephy quickly and held back a laugh. "I think classes are still going on, except I haven't shown up in a while." Her smile widened glad for the subject change. "So shall we skip next period?" Alyssa smirked. She loved skipping. It was so much fun. Everyone did it, so why not her? She is evil isn't she?Alyssa rached and grabbed and ornage to snack on. She wasn't one for apples.

Sephy's eyes brightened at the idea. "That would be awesome. By the way, we're having lunch, right? I just flew in, so I'm all, timezones are annoying." she said, taking a bite of her apple. She was glad that Alyssa smiled. Hopefully she would do it more often.
((Sorry, I thought I already posted thing >:. Also, I'm going to a convention this weekend, so I might seem inactive, I'm really sorry. I'll try to get on.))

"sixth too" lux smiled. she was glad that liz was in the same year as her, it would have made her feel awkward otherwise she imagined.
"hogwarts is so confusing" lux mentioned, taking another nibble of her salad.
"i mean, it's about the same size as beauxbatons, but gosh, we sure didn't have moving staircases there." she continued.
realising she sounded wistful, she tried to be positive about her move to hogwarts.
"but we didn't have boys at beauxbatons," she grinned, "that was a bit of a killer, we sometimes had dances with durmstrang, but two nights a year isn't really enough time to get to know anyone, is it?"
"what do you guys do for fun around here?" she asked liz pushing her salad away and grabbing a banana.

It's still inactive, and Schools almost over so I'm rushing around to get things for school over with, which is giving me no time to get on gaia.

((dont sweat it, just worry about school more in my opinion. Its way more important then gaia. finish all that work and then bam it'll be done and you'll have no worries. Im finished with school mrgreen got good grades to. my and my girlfriend that ive been dating for 9 months broke up last week and really the main reason i wasnt on gaia was cus i talked to her a lot so i should be on a lot more this summer. Ill try to think of ways to get the gu ild active again.))
