She barely got her fingers on the quaffle, but it wasn't enough to knock the ball out of the Hufflepuff captain's grip. The other girl rolled away and sped off, still in possession, and Savannah cursed, trying to chase her. By the time Savannah reached Rider they were well past midfield and gaining close to the Slytherin goal posts. Hoping for a bout of good luck, she lunged in for another steal attempt.

Snatching up the quaffle, she tucked the ball under the crook of her arm and tore off in a quick turn. She flew low on the pitch with the green grass right under her feet before she began to ascend higher in the air while she sped for the goal posts.

Layton noticed another bludger heading his way, a bit irritated that that Leon kid seemed to be targeting him. But thankfully, Zeph had come to his rescue twice now, and he kept searching.
