I actually use herms method
what I do is I breed an entire box of pokemon, then go to the Battle tower.
check the entire box, and throw away anything that isn't "superior" or "outstanding"
so I use him to narrow down what I check using the IC, which speeds thing sup a lot.
also...you may not wanna just through everything out when you FIRST start breeding as most of the early thing smay turn out worse... just hwo I do it.

If the pokemon has more than one 31 IV the guy in battle tower will cycle through them if you ask him about the same pokemon repeatedly.

yah, he will cycle through in this order...
HP>Atk>Def>Speed>Sp. Atk>Sp. Def
he wont always start at HP though...
if he says speed, then you start ther,e and he'll cylcle through til you get back to speed, as long as you check the smae poke. checking a different will reset it.

Mos and Toph are running the event, let him do it the way he wants to. Usually an RP would kick you out if you didn't follow the person who's running it instruction.
