Erm time for one of the resident Nara experts to give some insight into this.
1: Devoker: Sorry to say but with nausea and vomiting you wont be able to hold the jutsu BUT you will still have your shadow connected to his so its easily available to do other techniqes after youve vomited and etc.
2: Gold/Yuan: what most people dont realize is that a naras shadow is like an extra limb, its a lot more flexible than most people think (not in the moveability but in its application)
3: Though using shadow techniques that require holding (shadow imitation, shadow neckbind, etc.) are VERY chakra draining (hence why I hardly ever use them) using things like shadow sewing, shadow imitation shuriken, and shadow summoning are not and the techniques are only draining if your opponent is at least equal in power to you.

I'm abit worried about Bone myself...
I hate to be a pessimist; but his last post in Elites was a Leave of Absence saying he was driving to his grandmas...
and thats the last we heard of him.
You dont think.... sweatdrop
Well, I pray nothing happened, but thats the last anyone's heard of him as far as I know =/

Though my suggestion, the instant you can do something again, drop a kunai into your shadow to pin him down, and then use shadow sewing this will stab through all of his arms legs, shoudlers, and thighs and stop him from moving while causing pain.

im still wondering why devo changed to a nara in the first place 0.o their a popular clan but they are hard as hell to use... the only reason I love them is because I know every grinding gritty detail about them

I mean with light coming out of my at every angle, then theres no shadow from me; right?
