Is this "break" of yours going to cause more setbacks than the obvious time-related ones? I mean, are you in the middle of a progressive line of courses that depend on knowledge gleaned from proceeding courses so that you'll have to play catch-up when you do get back to school because all previous knowledge will have faded from your memory? Or have you just been doing gen ed stuff?
If you find yourself really missing college, just let me know and I'll scan some homework for you to do. Ooo, how much do you know about Native Americans? I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a history paper due this semester on them... wink blaugh
What classes were you planning to take if you'd been able to go?
Marketplace 3.0 is neat; I love all the information it gives out. I think it's going to slow down the speed of transactions at least a bit, but I like how we can now search categories. I'm not entirely sure why they think a 2% cut is going to help inflation though.

I'm not entirely sure why they think a 2% cut is going to help inflation though. Because they're taking gaia gold out of the system. The rich get poorer. It means that people need to start earning gold again.

Yeah, I read the first page of that thread they made about it in Site Feedback. The funny thing is, it's Gaia's fault fewer people sell back to the Shops. Remember when they decreased the sellback amount to 50% to encourage people to use the then-new Marketplace to sell their items? xd

Not a clue. Aekea's super-weapon seems likely to be the most precise, but Isle de Gambino's seems the most dangerous, while Barton's is just kinda appealing for some reason. I think Durem dropped the ball on this one though....most likely I'll wait until the event actually starts and see if I want to join it at all before making a decision.

Wow. People are seriously freaking out about the 2% tax. Apparently, to borrow an example I saw, losing 210k in tax on a sale of 10,500k is just criminally unacceptable, even though you're still left with 10,290k, far more than you could possibly need for just about anything on Gaia except certain popular, rare artists or old donation items. The masses are rising up in anger at the thought of turning over some of their "hard-earned gold." Money received from selling anything on the Marketplace can in no way be considered "hard-earned." rolleyes
This site's users are lucky I'm not an admin. I'd just screw everyone over for being whiny bitches. sweatdrop Like, say, by putting a limit of 100k gold on every account so no one gets to be a millionaire (without some seriously tricky mule maneuvering), and removing all gold above that limit as an "I'm your Overlord and Master and you will bow to my will or die" tax. ninja That'd lower prices right quick...and probably cut the lag in Towns seriously down with the large amount of users that would leave the site. It'd be just like the old days...a small user base where everybody's poor. biggrin And make it seriously less worth it for scammers to operate I'd expect.

I think I'm going to wait until the last possible moment and then join the team that's winning to increase my odds of getting the winning item. xd I expect the other event items I'll be able to just buy from other users.
Are those your days off work or something?

I choose Aekea. Luckily I don't spend a lot of money on books- but art supplies quickly make up for it.
