"Uh... well a bit yeah. He was with me on my first mission with the gang." Koji said, looking very confused as to why all of these members that had been absent so long were suddenly in the hq again and having some sort of confrontation. "Then I got assigned to my own mission, and when I came back, he wasn't around. I tried asking Luciano but he just sort of shouted and avoided the question whenever I brought it up so I stopped asking. I have no idea what happened.." Koji looked back and forth between the faces in the room. "So.. is someone going to fill me in on what's happening?"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 19, 2013 6:18 pm

((epic art, Koji! biggrin min if I save it to my laptop?))

"I'll answer your questions, since I'm answering everyone else's... that's what prisoner's do in interrogation, right? answer questions?"

Twi's remarks were witty as always, and for once rather sarcastic. he always had that light and jovial attitude in even the toughest of situations.

"so Luc never mentioned it, did he? I'm a Vampire, Koji. I have been since before I joined those years ago. when that was found out about me I had to leave. I'm only back now to help you guys." he explained.

"which leads me to answering your question." he said, turning his head to face Nari. "I volunteered for the infiltration of HQ, using my knowledge of the base as a supporting argument for why I was best for the job. the plan was to sneak in, steal the files of the new members and leave out the files of my former comrades so that Countess Ambrosia couldn't target them. it's covert. that's my job, I'm an informant. of course I'm hiding something! I hide information from everyone!"

he sighed.

"but there was a lack of communication. a sloppy mess of a job, thanks to an uncoordinated attack by some hooligans chasing one of your recruits. that botched my infiltration as well as left them dead.... a waste of young life -- err... undeath... you know what I mean! they were Newbloods! just as young as they looked!"

he closed his eyes and reste dhis head on the hard table. he could feel the tears fall down his cheeks.

"then there was that mess with The Shade, Skotti and Mandi... I don't even know who came out of that mes alive or not.... but with the follow up from the infiltration, Luc went on a hunting trip... I had to relocate an entire Vampire Base. I'll not divulge where, of course. won't have anymore people kille din this senseless violence. this is all wrong, and it's because of Luca's crazy plans!"

he began to struggle against the chains suddenly, feeling enraged by the thought of failing to stop the Don.

Louie silently cursed himself for putting his gun away. He quickly stepped around Koji and Nariana to press the barrel into Twilight's cheek. "Calm vampire."
Rosemary opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by her cellphone. Cursing she quickly checked who the caller was. It was the head of her unit at the police station. "Underhill!" she snapped answering the call. An angry buzzing could be heard from the other end of the line. "Yes...Are you positive?...Right, be there in 20." She put the phone away and stepped up beside Louie. "Damn pigs can't do anything without help," she muttered darkly. "What are these plans you keep mentioning?"

Koji's entrance made the tense situation in the interrogation room more awkward for Nariana. Now she knew for sure that she needed to have a long discussion with one of the older members to fill in the blanks, preferably Skotti or Luciano seeing that they were apparently heavily involved. There was far too much that she didn't know and didn't fully understand. All the sudden disappearances and reappearances mentioned were clearly missing important details. 'Why is this man not dead yet? The vampires should have tried to kill him for even previously associating with us! And who is The Shade? Another high-ranking vampire like Ambrosia maybe?' she thought with some confusion.

Finally speaking up, she told Koji, "Our little friend here decided to go undercover and spy on me last night. I saw him through my window, chased him down, and Luciano handled the rest with his gun. He just woke up recently." Turning her attention to the prisoner, she added, "I wouldn't struggle like that if I were you. Mr. Gun-happy over here--" she pointed to Louie and frowned before continuing, "might blow you to bits if you make a ruckus like that again. It's obvious that you have some conflicting loyalties, and seeing that you basically forfeited your freedom by coming here, your information about our Don must be of utmost importance. Let's hear it now. No more back story for the time being, please." Crossing her arms across her chest, she tapped her foot in anticipation and raised an eyebrow.

Koji was suddenly even more confused that he was when he walked in. Twi was a vampire? And now he admitted to betraying them by infiltrating the hq. Sure, he was trying to protect the members he worked with in the process, but he was still selling the others out and defending the vampires that attacked last night. Then he mentioned The Shade. Something seemed oddly familiar about that. If he remembered right, it sounded like the codenames of Skotti's old squad. They had encountered some of them on a previous mission, but Koji couldn't remember what the other memebers codenames were. If Skotti and Mandi ran into one of them, it probably didn't end cleanly. Before he could stop to think too much about that, Twi brought up the Don. He remembered what Charlotte had said earlier when he mentioned the rumors of the Kuro family being responsible for the bombing of H&R Wesley and starting a war with the vampires "They aren't rumors if they're true." There was no way that the Kuros were responsible for all of this mess. The vampires must have done something to cause retaliation. Right? Though, it was true that they hadn't been in contact with the Don, or any of the higher ups for that matter, for quite some time. He let Nari continue to interrogate while he tried sorting through all of this information.

the gun to his head definitely got Twi to stop struggling. he stiffened, and kept an eye on the barrel, slanted and uncomfortable though that was on his eyes.

he gulped, and took a steadying breath before continuing. if he told them the truth, he briefly considered, would it mean his life? it was blasphemous to the Kuros, they tolerated no ill-speak of Luca. but he reminded himself that his life wasn't worthe the lives of everyone else. he had to speak the truth, whether they believed him or not.

"Don Kuro is dealing with dark occult forces. he has sold his soul to a demon of some considerable power. if that demon gets his way he will destroy all of Gaia and remake it in his terrible image -- not the 'Dark Elf Empire' he promised Luca."

he flinched, clenching his eyes shut and awaited the gunshot. he wondered if he'd feel it, or even hear it... and what it would be like to truely die....

Nariana's countenance darkened. Her crossed arms slackened and she chuckled. "You can't be serious right now," she said with dry humor. Her face turned serious as she continued, "You come here and expect us to believe that? Do you even know how ridiculous you sound right now? You are one mistake from forfeiting your life, and you choose to tell us that! Ha! I'll give you one more chance to really tell us why you came." At this point, she thought the guy was a fool for ever stepping foot in HQ. Not only was he blaspheming, but he was spewing absolute nonsense. Unless some really solid proof was given, Nari was certain that the elf-vampire was going to lose his life to Louie's barrel.

Fairly soon after the first gunshot and before any more, two sets of feet rapped against the stairs...one less eager than the other. Waffle made her entrance with Sabe in tow by the wrist although he wouldn't be staying in this room for long.

"So what do we have here?" Waffle asked as more of a statement than a question, her lack of indoor voice carrying across the whole basement, "I'm very surprised that Luciano wasn't already here."

She turned to Sabe. "Be useful and bring him down here."

He bolted up the stairs as soon as Waffle let go of his hand. Sabe had a vague idea of where Luciano could be, as he remembered that Luc wasn't in his bedroom that night. He made a beeline for the offices and peered through whatever gaps or holes were in the blinds behind the doorways' bulletproof glass windows until he spotted Luciano slumped over his desk, sound asleep. Turning the doorknob only proved that it was locked, and it was likely that the keys were inside the office.

Sabe felt he shouldn't be bothering Johnny this time, so he went around the main lobby looking for a big paperclip instead. As he was searching the room he could feel a mean itch starting on the side of his face near the cheekbone. He would scratch it...if it weren't for the needed concealer caked cover the area.

Going back to the office after finding the paperclip along with some loose change (which he pocketed) under a couch cushion, he straightened it out to be bent into a suitable shape. Sabe quickly found out the lock's type wasn't one very familiar to him. He spent a long time bending and re-bending the wire and changing what he did until the lock finally clicked. He went inside and walked straight to the desk, reaching from directly across of Luciano to nudge him awake.

"you think I would put my life in danger for a joke?" he shot back at the girl. "I know damn well that ill-speak of Luca isn't tolerated. but I can't just sit back and let this happen! you can choose ignorance, or you can at least investigate the matter yourselves."

he wondered briefly if Waffle was going to zap him right now, or if she realy even cared enough about his blasphemy. in truth, he expected her to to torment him for the fun of it.

Rosemary's cell phone started to ring for the second time. She glanced at it to see who it was and cursed under her breath. 'Dammit. What do the Kuros want now?!'
"I'm sorry everyone, please excuse me," she said quickly and exited to room. She walked up the stairs and when she felt she was far enough away answered, "Underhill?"
The voice on the other end was low and very masculine, "Have the police contacted you or your brother yet?"
"Yes sir, they are expecting me at the scene in about 20 minutes." she answered.
"Good. The story has already reached the news and our involvement in widely known. We want you to take care of it." the voice said.
Rosemary was taken back by the order. She couldn't help herself, she had to ask, "Forgive me sir, but if the public and police are aware of the Kuro's involvement what could I possibly accomplish?"
The voice was silent for a moment and Rosemary instantly regretted opening her mouth. After a moment of tense silence the voice answered, "Do what you have to Underhill! This does not reach the Don! He has more important things to worry about than the aftermath of a territory battle! Do you understand or do I need to call another informant?!"
"Yes sir, I'm very sorry sir. Please forgive me. I will handle it at once!" she said quickly.
"Good. Now move!" and the line was disconnected.
Rosemary leaned against the wall of the stairwell and took a few deep breaths to settle herself before trying to gather herself.
'What the ******** am I going to do?!' she thought.
She went upstairs and out to the car. Once there she grabbed Louie's bag and brought it back inside with her and made her way back down to the basement. Nothing had changed, Louie was still standing over the vampire, his itchy trigger finger in place. Rosemary knew that stance. He wanted to do it but wouldn't until given the order. Louie glanced at her and Rosemary shock her head.
"I'm sorry, I need to leave. I'll try to return quickly as I can. Louie, I'm leave your vamp kit here...just in case you need it." she said and set the duffel bag down. She then turned on heel and left.
Louie turned his attention back to the vampire on the table.
"What proof of your words did you bring with you?" he asked calmly.

Waffle's sudden outburst made Nariana's face scrunch up in irritation. Sighing, she informed the smaller elf in a dull tone, "Luciano left me in ch--" but was cut off abruptly by the prisoner. The elf-vampire's passion surprised her and made her stop for a moment to think. She said nothing for several moments and merely paced in front of the man, glancing up at his face every so often and only grunting in acknowledgement when Rose left. After a minute passed, Nari stopped and added to Louie's request without looking up, "If you have valid reason behind your argument, you won't have to see those tools in that bag." She tapped the siblings' bag with her foot before continuing, "Imagine yourself in a court room. I'm the head judge, Louie is the pushy security guard, and you're the defendant about to get life. So what are you going to do?" Finally looking up again, she placed her left hand on her chin and held that arm with her right one.

Personally, she wanted to believe this guy. Though her business loyalties laid with the Don, her common sense told her that this guy was serious about his claims. Either he was crazy, or he and the vampires had a legitimate cause. And Koji knowing him as a decent guy made her really want to stop and let this guy live for another day. Maybe she was too soft, but all she knew for sure was that this story was far beyond HQ's control and that she needed more answers.

"I can honestly say that I don't have solid proof with me right now.... you would probably think me insane to insist it were magic and demonic cults and not have a shred of proof.... but know this -- I'm not interested in a petty blood feud. let me go and I won't directly bother your headquarters or go about slaughtering Kuro Gang foot soldiers. if I can help it, I'll actually save their lives. but I will be going after Luca. I have to stop him.

he gave Nari a hard stare, a determined look, and while he did so gave mental commands to his Shadow. hoping that nobody would notice, the Shadow stretched part of itself to the wall and hid in Louie's shadow.

Louie's shadow seemed to grow slowly, taking the shape of the Don and another figure, tall and humanoid. it pantomimed a scene wherein Luca made a pact with the taller figure, consecrated by a blood sacrifice.

Nari listened to the man expectantly, hoping that his answer would put her mind to ease and give her a reason to believe him. Sadly, it was far from that. In fact, it was absolutely moronic. With an exasperated sigh, her left hand slid slowly across her face. That dry laughter came out again as her hand remained in place over her facial features. "How heroic you must think you are. How heroic and insane you must be! You read my mind on that one!" Her laughter turned into a roar, and her lean frame shook. Pulling her hand back to her side and revealing a dark scowl, she nearly yelled at him, "Do you think that your mere words are enough?! Are you blind?! This is a war! You declared it on us directly with your wishy-washy self! And do you think I really believe that one person would be able to stop all assaults on our headquarters? Even better--" she threw her arms in the air, "you suddenly think that you alone could take down our leader!" Suddenly thrusting her hands down on the hard table where the prisoner laid, she leaned in as close and she could and practically growled in his face, "Do you see this stick in my hand?" she referenced her own weapon which remained dormant in her grip the entire time, "It's about to become much more than that. I am tired, and suddenly my patience for you has waned. I will give you one final chance to change your answer." And with that threat being said, she pulled her body upright and pressed the little button to release her rod and restart its electrical pulse. If she was the judge, he had about ten seconds before she passed her judgment.

With another scowl, Nariana extended her left arm that held her "vamp stamp." She kept her face as mean-looking as possible while she jabbed the prisoner's right thigh, sending the volts of electricity into him. She held it there and waited for his first scream of pain. Though she didn't mind giving this guy a little revenge, she was still a bit uncomfortable with the idea of torturing him. Nonetheless, she reminded herself that this was her job. 'That's right. This is my duty right now, and he is an enemy...' she thought monotonously.
