"I slept pretty well, You?" he asked, eating his cereal and eyeing her a bit, wondering why she's so embarassed about that book.

"I... I slept great!" Lily answered brightly, giving him a smile. Then she looked to River, frowning slightly in concern. "Are you not feeling well, ma'am?" she asked, head tipping to one side.

Slightly taken aback by River's response, or more accurately, the growl with which it was delivered, Lily bit her lower lip and ducked her head. "Sorry... to hear that. If there is anything I can do, please ask." she murmured, then looked back to Arlen, smiling as he kissed. "I know that... really, I do."

Sighing she rubbed her eyes softly and looked down into her now empty cup, intwined in it's semptyness for a moment before Lillys words kicked into play. "..Sorry, I didn't mean to growl like that.." She said softly." I've never been this sick before with a human virus, I don't know what to do with myself.."

"Ah, I see. Being grumpy is perfectly understandable then." Hesitantly, she smiled and put her own mug aside, preparing to stand. "If you want, I could make some willowbark tea... it's good for headaches."

Lily kissed Arlen's cheek, internally feeling rather lousy; she was keeping something from him, and she wasn't sure why. Biting her bottom lip, she pushed it away, then gave him another warm smile before returning her gaze to River.

"..That would be so very kind of you Lily, tea, sounds wonderful." She said soft spoken and watched her cup more, pushing random strands of black hairs from her eyes, not really intrested in anything but tea at the moment. "..Arlen I am alright Lilly has offered me tea."

"Coming right up!" Lily stood, then went behind the bar and started the water before she dashed upstairs to Cerridwyn's room to retrieve her herbs. Upon coming back to the main room, she started to prepare the tea, judiciously measuring and mixing. When the water was warm enough, the drink was quickly finished, and brought to River. "Here... it might be a little bitter, but it really does help."

"..Thank you kindly.." She spoke up to her not bothing to smile, she didn't want to frighten her or anything. "..Lily, Who is..Vincent?.." She asked as she sipped the tea, the bitter taste she was warned about swishing into her mouth, and down her gullet. Blinking at it she frowned and continued to drink without complaining.

"Uh..." shooting an apologetic glance at Arlen, knowing how he hated the subject, she sat on the couch and began to speak. "Well, he was a lackey of my greatest enemy, but the part of his soul that was held captive by Xaldin was freed. He's also Ukaia's lover, and part dragon." she added meekly. "I didn't think before I told him to come... I forgot that he would go all ragey and scare Uka."
