But would Lanzer want to join a guild that effectively worships HIMSELF?

yeah that might appear as arrogance to others . . .

@Xero: I have asked myself that very question many times.

@Scepter: A tricky question. In most cases one would think not, but as long as we promise not to immediately throw ourselves on him like rabid fangirls and fanboys, we could have a good shot.

@Masq:
1) Yep, I've found myself hanging out in the GCD for the past couple of weeks. I had a good opportunity to join one a few days ago that had just started and was still in single-digit pages....but I didn't have any questions. blaugh
2) Considering it's basically just a handful of people here, who rarely discuss him and focus more on non-gaia topics, I don't think arrogance would come much into play. xd

I would be more concerned with the fact that if he joined, he would no doubt accidentally bring an avalanche of people upon us who saw our guild in his profile. But I suppose if he really needed a place to "connect" with Gaians, like he's been trying to do with the daily question sessions, his very own shrine would theoretically be the ideal place, fully equipped with an abundance of its own dedicated mods who could collect, sort, and organize questions, queries, criticisms and fanmail for him. Let's face it...he could use some help, and I'm fairly certain we can claim to be the oldest, still half-active, Lanzer fan club. So the real question is, which do we love more....Lanzer (And the mass amounts of work he could bring us, starting with moving all the current threads to a mod-only forum and collecting every question and answer session we can find in the GCD to make handy question and answer lists to reduce the amount of repeat questions and answers. XD), or The Shrine (and its peaceful, drifting way of life)?

We're definitely drifting along, lol. We are pretty laid back, half of this isn't even about Lanzer/the admins anymore. It's just like, our hang out.

Of all the bands you mentioned Regina Spektor and MM are the only ones I recognize and enjoy.
Marilyn Manson does the Satanist stuff, not because he believes in it, but to shock people into reconsidering their position in life. One of the most intelligent mainstream artists out there imo, despite the fact that he tries to portray an image that makes him hated so much he's loved.
He seems to realize that all the stupid people will like his music whether it's good or not because it'll piss someone off... and then he does a few decent covers of other songs for the people who are there for the music.

Marilyn Manson is really, really smart. One of the most well articulated and has clear and basically non-offensive views on thing. His autobiography was really good.

Mmhmm, didn't go to college for nothing, you know. I've been reading the book, well, was... stopped about 5 chapters in because I've lost the comfort to read since my brother got back home. Since then, much crisis at home (many fights with my dad, scared dog because of it, and I somehow am always dragged into it all). Bah

Why not? Followers need a god to worship, so why not worship someone who's actually there?

Yes! Can't wait!
And that's about the extent of my enthusiasm, because it looks like it'll kill my connection. sweatdrop

is it just me, or did Gaia sell out hardcore?
What's with free items in exchange for dealing with advertising?

>.< No! Manaphy is not cuter than Natu or Mantyke scream but if you had a Vulpix plushie, rivalry would be a thing of the past.

@Don: Hell yes Gaia has sold out, it saddens me to see it go, too. ******** Scions are ******** UGLY. Which is part of the reason why I'm not on Gaia much anymore. That and the new layout and stuff kills my dial up.

I don't really mind Gaia's current level of "selling-out" because it gives us free items and it usually involves semi-interesting things. If they change tactics and start upping the amount and size of ads about the site instead, like most other sites do to gain money, then I'd be pissed. *lovingly pets her Bunny-Mobile*

I like the Summoning Tome item, but the Plasma Gear...oh, that's just sad. I fear the Star Wars cosplays already.

I don't really care that Gaia is selling out. I like the some of the items that we get. Some of them I don't- but that's a give or take.

And I don't mind the idea of lightsabers, what I do mind is they just look cheap and poorly made.

Speaking of selling out...

Y'all have seen John Cena on here, right?

Also, lol, Lanzer
