Maerua Yeah... Tbh the big problem is a circular problem. Not enough people getting behind third parties, so no major media coverage of third parties (and even considering enough support, said major media is heavily influenced by D/R interests)...which means nobody hears of them in any other context than 'Oh lol they're actually a real party? Why waste your vote on them?' I agree with that. Both D/R influence media big time. However that doesn't have to slow a parties momentum. My father helped with the construction of a Party called the Working Families Party, it is mostly attached to the Dems, but they have their own reps out as well. It was more about getting into the communities and talking to people. If you have reps who do more than just spout ideals and figures, but also talk to the people of a community then it could steer conversation. Working Families doesn't do much outside of Brooklyn though, so I don't know how it would work on a State Level. However I assume it would work out in a similar manner. This plus getting things of importance on social media, seeking out ways to make your topics (and your involvement) a trend.

I heard of Working Families, but only through a friend who has an uncle who also helped with the party in New York.

It's a party that leans dems, but it still presents it's own reps if it feels like the Dems candidate isn't representing them right or does hold their views.

Man, sometime I wish I had artistic skills. Instead all I can do is write and help other writers... Though I want to write a fan fic of Blackjack (from the Percy Jackson Series) and Arion (Heroes of Olympus) My little Pony versions...I might add Tempest (Heroes of Olympus) in there. Just the hell of it.

Maerua Instead of voting, I make sure people are aware of less-covered topics that have an effect on a ridiculously huge number of people, such as mass surveillance of communications, and challenge the views of those who do plan to vote (there will always be someone who will want to cast a vote, no point in beating the 'what if everyone thought that way' horse). Just to make them think a bit. (Aside note: if Jill Stein or Gary Johnson's running for 2016 as well I may register to vote. But don't hold me to it, because I'll jump ship if retarded ID laws become the norm...I'm not exactly in a position where people accept my ID at face value without questioning if it's a fake. I still look way underage.) (Aside note #2: your point referring to the revolution for American independence wasn't wholly for speech so much as it was resistance against being treated the same as any of the other British colonies, eg. a cash cow to fund the Empire.) Edit for lols: Dear Santa, What we want most for Christmas this year is for the eradication of lime-green rabbits. Or a hunting license and a rifle. - Maerua and Sabe I still think you should vote regardless of the candidates in 2016 or the ID laws. Chances are that those laws won't pass, anyway. Too many elderly people are unable to attain one nowadays since many of them no longer have birth certificates, etc. That's what I heard on the news a...week? ago. And even if those laws did pass, state IDs have birth dates on them, don't they? Also, I wasn't talking about American independence from Britain. I was talking about the racial and gender issues, especially racial if we consider where we were even 50 years ago. But I think you get my point. I just really think voting is important. Heck, write in a candidate if you have to! I do wish that people were more educated about their voting choices, though. I don't know everything about candidates, but I pay attention to what is most important to me and my family and know facts about those issues... FB made me angry last night, seeing how backwards people are in regards to President Obama's policies. emotion_facepalm But I'm letting that go. I don't like talking politics much, anyway. SO GUYS!! IT'S ONLY WEDNESDAY, AND I'M POOPED!! emotion_donotwant

I'm irritated. I spent 15 minutes on 1 question of an online quiz, only to second-guess myself and get it wrong. emotion_donotwant

But it's okay. I'd prefer an online test over one in class. Plus, it was just one question and quizzes are only 10%. So I'm gooood now~
