Before anyone can blink Malazar is out of his crouch and slamming an open palm into Sato's chest with the other in his coat. Whether she can react to the strike fast enough to block or not he pulls back after a single burst of force. His other hand leaps out to point a large ugly-mouthed pistol at Sato, central mass. Despite that, he sounds amused.

"Most of your life? Me oh my and how long would that be lass? Twenty years? Thirty? No, probably not even that much. I know you perfectly well, and I'm not being philosophical."

Malazar's gun disappears back into his coat.

"The Brink is a place of peace, where no one needs to be at odds with another. The more you see here, the more you'll realize that. I suggest you check the attitude."

*Luana turns to face Sato, who must have better hearing than Luana had guessed. She started to play with a lock of her hair, whispering almost to herself.* Just because you're surrounded by it doesn't make it right to sink to that level. You might want to consider leading by example, and expanding your vocabulary beyond four-letter profanities.

*She watches Malazar whip out the gun and takes a couple of quick steps back. She doesn't get the feeling that she needs to be afraid of him, but guns in general bother her.*

((Read the post again please, I've been RPing for a good long time. I stated what attack would be made and let you write your own response to it. I was just saying that whatever she tried Malazar was making an additional action as fallup/running parallel. As the post stated, the gun WAS pointed at her, not at where she was. If you think about it, you had to block, spin, and draw while Mal was already drawing. Even if you moved he would have had a bead on you beforehand.))

Malazar doesn't even bat an eye at Sato, or even turn to address her again. Pretty clear snubage.

((Lordy, arguing a fight in the Brink. -_- Sato, read the post slowly and carefully. Malazar was drawing even before he made the attack. He strikes once, then moves back to finish drawing the weapon. If you write it out it looks something like this.

-Mal moves
-Mal's hand goes to his holster, other to Sato
-Sato spins and blocks
-Mal backs up and draws
-Sato draws

So yes, they're face to face. I said hit because it didn't sound right when written out otherwise but I made it very clear in the next sentence that I wasn't leaving you unable to respond. This worked out almost exactly as I wanted it to and we're only arguing because you're missing the point. Malazar is still snubbing Sato, ignoring her actions and words. He even put his gun away right after he drew it because he knew what was going to happen. So just move on please.))
