It was packed in my town. Or so I heard from friends that went to vote.

Edit: The Diedrich thing is so god damn annoying... Someone needs to shoot the little b***h and make mittens out of his hide and lime-scented soap from his fat...

Wait, wait, wait. You didn't go to vote?

Hoooold up. You don't want Gaia's grunnies to live?

Too much in one post. emotion_donotwant

A vote from me is meaningless if we're not directly voting for the candidates, we're stuck with two parties that pretty much agree with each other (third parties like the Green Party and the Libertarians get no love), and a staggering number of people also voting are completely uninformed or -worse- apathetic and choose the 'lesser of two evils'. It's like adding a few drops of clean drinkable water to a raw sewage tank. sad

As for the lime-colored (not)grunnies, they can gtfo. I'm tired of seeing them altogether after we've been relentlessly spammed with Diedrich last year and the year before that. He isn't even funny or useful to event plots, just the empty 'lol rAnDuM! xD' flavor of annoying flat recurring joke character.

re: deidrich --- I completely agree with Jay. I can't stand the little creep. He's not even a true Grunny so there's no point defending him.

You Diedrich haters. emotion_donotwant

@ Jay: Don't get me wrong; I see what you're saying. But if everyone thought like that, what was the point of fighting for the constitutional right to have a say at all? I just think everyone should vote, even if it's not necessarily the perfect candidate for your beliefs/views. Otherwise, you can't complain about what happens to the country (not saying you're complaining).

Yeah, I'm going to avoid them both. They're kinda creepy.

Mind you during the first topic they mentioned that the office doesn't exist, I stopped paying attention and closed the window.

Well yeah, he was created as a troll character. He's meant to be godawful and annoying. So, in that, he's successful... just entirely unnecessary.

But I like his awkward banter and 'Okay, bye. Bye bye now.'

Instead of voting, I make sure people are aware of less-covered topics that have an effect on a ridiculously huge number of people, such as mass surveillance of communications, and challenge the views of those who do plan to vote (there will always be someone who will want to cast a vote, no point in beating the 'what if everyone thought that way' horse). Just to make them think a bit.

(Aside note: if Jill Stein or Gary Johnson's running for 2016 as well I may register to vote. But don't hold me to it, because I'll jump ship if retarded ID laws become the norm...I'm not exactly in a position where people accept my ID at face value without questioning if it's a fake. I still look way underage.)

(Aside note #2: your point referring to the revolution for American independence wasn't wholly for speech so much as it was resistance against being treated the same as any of the other British colonies, eg. a cash cow to fund the Empire.)

Edit for lols:

Dear Santa,
What we want most for Christmas this year is for the eradication of lime-green rabbits. Or a hunting license and a rifle.

I'd considered the Green Party Candidates if they did more than keeping trying to reach higher offices in states that are not Vermont. I've noticed that in NY at least. They always run for Senate or President, but it would effective if they started in communities and local governments. So people hear their platforms for themselves. Also just holding the office of President doesn't mean that Congress which will be filled with Dems and Conservatives, will work with someone who isn't from either party. Heck, the barely work with each other these days, an outside would be chewed up and spit out too fast it would actually be kinda funny.
Now if they had some people who went from local to state and then federal, they might have some friends on the inside helping them break through walls. That would mean making a move for the next couple of elections in key states and really creating a strong ground game with people like yourself speaking for the reason why they should pay attentions to politics and it's system. Rather than ignore it and/or try and break it. These steps, plus using local media and social media groups (also appealing to older voters and new-coming voter) will give them the edge they need to make a big influence on National elections.

Yeah...
Tbh the big problem is a circular problem. Not enough people getting behind third parties, so no major media coverage of third parties (and even considering enough support, said major media is heavily influenced by D/R interests)...which means nobody hears of them in any other context than 'Oh lol they're actually a real party? Why waste your vote on them?'
