As much as I love steampunk, it's more my inclination to make things original and geared toward it than to copy something existing over into a new format.
Main difference between any steampunk character I've had in mind for a while, for generic steampunk, and Kael is that Kael is a decent fighter and novice mechanic, and my steampunk guy would be the flipside of that.

@DC- Dr. Freeman is disinclined to acquiesce your request.
@Hono -
he was pulled from hell to act as an agent for the angels. You see, the angel says there are very few of them left, due to the millenia of fighting and they need all the help they can get. 66 seals of the apocalypse, etc... Specificly, the yellow-eyed demon that killed his mother and infected his brother with demon blood is a 'free agent' the angels know too little about to let go, and not enough 'DANGER' signs to go after him themselves. Thusly, he was pulled from hell because of the connection to this demon, and having the drive (motivation: revenge) and the means (the colt) to solve this small problem for them. All the while, the angels fight activley to prevent the seals from being broken.
@OD~Spoiler related I'm not so sure that I actually believe in the "good side" ... I mean the last 3 seasons all we have positively seen signs of are the bad guys! It would definitely be awesome if this new one really is an angel, but part of me is almost sure that it is just another demon of some sort! Take this last weeks episode for instance, Dean was apparently transported back in time to a point that he knew NOTHING about, a point where he could have potentially stopped Azazel and stopped everything that happened along the way! But there was only one single moment where Dean could have killed the yellow eyed demon, and it likely would have cause a time paradox beyond measure because the demon would have killed his mother before he had a chance to be born ><' ... putting that aside Dean did manage to learn a few new things about his family, but isn't it funny how his father didn't become associated with the hunters until after his mother died?!!! I know that it is rather linear thinking, and more than likely the creater of the show didn't bother to fully plot out the Winchester history and that is why there were no hints in the past seasons about this sort of hicup in the winchester past, but at the same time I can not help but to wonder if Dean was brought back because Sam would have killed every last superantural being in his path without Dean to help temper his actions! (end of spoiler rant) xp
I would have thought that Matt decided on a new guild entirely due to the fact that you are acting the way you are, right now Ed...Unless I have missed something huge in our mutual past, you didn't create the stadium Ed...and if Matt wants to take his idea off on another tangent, to keep you from harrasing him, then that is totaly his right!
but my tone is contaminated by the fact that it looks like the ruling body of the stadium is purposly against anyone having something to RP that they have not preapproved...and I'm grouchy stressed

Supernatural is just something on after Smallville. If it wasn't RIGHT after, I probably would never watch it. sweatdrop
on the guild... I think any GOOD idea takes time to realize. A hasty decision to go all STEAM PUNK, in my opinion, would be a mistake. Atleast, to overhaul an entire guild on a whim. What it would be telling the guild members is: to assimilate or be destroyed. Borg style.
To answer a few question: 1) You don't HAVE to be your existing character, you can be a brand-spanking new one if you wished. I put in a little bit saying "those in or around" Levi for a reason. You can omit them and start with something fresh and clean.
2) I didn't do it for that reason, but I will have to admit that it influenced me just a bit
3) I would never redo this entire guild on a whim nor do I have any inclination to EVER revamp this guild in such a way. This Leviathan is very cemented. No matter how many apocalyptic events happen, it remains the same and constant. I decided to take my original idea and just give it a fun twist to see where people can take this one ^.^

Well Enki, when you get it done, I'll be watchng for it, I need an excuse to try something entirely different.

Will do, Dirge! I'll actually be wanting input from members of Levi before I open up to the public. Currently, I just have to add the OOC, rules, explanations and the first few locations (Levi, Latent [Latenton], and Barton), then I'll let everyone know. Those will be done tonight at some point hopefully

Thankees! now I just gotta figure out how to make 'jacks actually work. In my Book, they run off of steam, but they have some kind of core that doesn't make sense or wouldn't translate well. I'll look in to the book again and see what's up...
edit- yeah, says their cortex(computer memory thing) is magical in nature. Maybe I could bypass that by making them strictly commercial and man controlled by levers and other such things. That sound about right Enki?

If you could, PM me with a picture of them and a description and I'll help you go over it to see how it would work properly. A steam-mech is really nothing new to steampunk and is used often.

I couldn't find a picture, but I described it as best I could. I figured the mechanics of its motion are pretty basic, it's just the tech that gives it a kind of 'mind of its own' is the problem.
Edit- And I might be able to get the Liber Mechanika, which will help matters greatly.
