What are you doing? he asked, waving an arm in front of himself. Whatever it is you're doing, you should stop. You really hurt me you know. Enapay took a few steps away and patted a tree before leaning against it. He placed a hand to his head, looking down. But anyway, like I said, the road is that way, friend.

I have a name you know, spiritual dude. You can call me Caleb. You don't have to call me 'friend' all the damned time. he laughed, shaking his head as he placed his hands on his hips, watching the other as he seemed to mentally collapse under the gaze.

Dude? he asked, tilting his head. I have a name too, friend. I mean, Caleb. Enapay laughed to himself, shaking his head. Aren't you leaving?

Yeah? And what might your name be? Caleb laughed, not moving from where he stood as he examined Enapay some more. Like I said~ I might head home, I might not. I didn't mean to stray so far, but...what else is there in this town to do but wander?

I'm called Enapay, he answered, smiling goofily. And I can't answer your question, as I haven't been around the town, just in these woods. He looked around, taking a deep breath. It's much better to be with nature than with buildings and people.

Enapay, hmn? Caleb brought his arms up over his head in a stretch, and rested his hands atop his head as he looked to the other. Interesting name. What's it mean? He didn't care to ask why the boy preferred the company of nature right yet, but it was probably something he'd have to ask about.

In my language it means "brave", and I'm so lucky I was named this, because back at home I was the bravest person on the whole reservation, he started, taking a deep breath. Like this once, I was outside climbing a tree, and all the kids were outside playing and such, and I saw this big dog. It had foam in it's mouth and it was looking really mean, so I jumped out of the tree and I fought this large beast in order to save the children. Enapay exhaled with a nod, happiness lighting up his eyes. I had so much to eat that night, all of the parents were giving me things and saying "Enapay, you're so brave" and "Surely your father knew what kind of person you would be when he named you". He looked to the other, still smiling happily, almost bouncing in place.

Caleb listened to Enapay's story with arced brows, a smile spreading over his face as he watched the pure delight in the other grow. So...Where you used to live, you were given a lavish dinner...because you diverted a mad dog and saved some kids?

Enapay shook his head. I didn't eat dinner that night, he replied, resting the back of his head to the tree he leaned against. I just ate a lot of different things. Not lavish. Why? Are you jealous that I saved the day? No need, he went on, waving an arm. I'm sure you're young, you have plenty of time to be a hero.

I'm hardly young, Caleb started, hightened amusement in his voice. But I have no intention of ever being a 'hero'. He actually quite detested the thought of being someone others looked to for help and such, but if this stranger wanted to be recognized for something, more power to him.

Enapay shook his head with a sigh. Just because you have no intention of something doesn't mean it won't happen. A lot of times, it will. He took a step away from the tree and wrapped his arms around himself. I told you where the main road was, so I hope you find your way home or to wherever you want to go, he said, feeling a little unsure about being around Caleb.

With a shrug, Caleb turned in the direction Enapay had told him the road lay. Suit yourself, nature boy...he laughed, swinging his arms again as he made his way in a mock-march, humming to himself as sparks of white-blue energy danced off the trees around him.

Enapay picked a small pebble up into his hand and tossed it in the air before catching it. He eyed it momentarily before throwing it at the back of on of Caleb's legs. Don't call me that, he finally said.

Caleb's eyes widened just slightly before he turned around to face Enapay, his arms shifting to rest his hands on his hips. Call you what? Nature boy? the crystal eyed emo-goth taunted. Name calling might not be kind, but neither is throwing rocks.

Agreed, but, I figured throwing a rock at you would get your attention better than calling you a name, he replied with a smirk.
