Fuin blinked about her as she gazed, almost entranced at the dancing flames of the fire, snaking her hands up and wiggling her small chubby fingers towards it's warmth.

Her gaze left the fire as the doctor spoke to them both, her deep crimson eyes drinking in everything around her and as the doctor turned to leave Fuin looked up at Eien and pointed at herself.

"L... Little Fr-friend?" she repeated slowly, stumbling over the words a little.

Eien looked down before cocking her head slightly, raising an eyebrow at hearing a little voice. She was right in the sense that this little one would learn fast, this was a good thing in a way. Help as much as she can, smiling softly down too her Eien nodded. Silver star velvet sky eyes gleaming well saying,

=...yes... very, very good chibi-kage...=

Giving the child that nickname put a small stab in her heart but she ignored it and the named suited Fuin. Little shadows... little shadow, yes it would do. Cocking her head, she glanced over her shoulder and saw the doctor coming near. The star on her brow glowed dim, they both needed food. And with a full stomach and rest maybe she would speak more. This would be grand.

Looking down to her red robin shaded eyes Eien shifted her slightly to see the flames.

Fuin smiled and bounced happily in Eien's lap, dislodging the strip of material that was wrapped around her but not seeming to care much as she enjoying the feeling of the fires warmth on her bare pale skin.

She blinked as the doctor set down two bowls of warm chicken and vegetable brother, some bread and two chipped mugs of warm milk in front of them and wriggled with a pout as he ruffled her hair before walking back off to check on a patient in one of the surrounding tents.

Fuin looked from the food, to Eien and then back at the food again in puzzlement as her nose twitched and she wriggled about in Eien's lap.

"Phwee?" she asked, pointing at what had been left for them.

Nodding her thanks to the doctor before he disappeared back into the maze of tents, Eien let out a silent giggle as Fuin wiggled about her lap. Nearly naked again like a little ninja on a mission. A thought came to her then as Eien reached out with her hand, annd slowly with her slim fingers pointed with a lazy nature to the flames. Her star on her brow seemed to shine a little brighter as did the glow of the fire embers. Then turning her palm upward, and making a comward motion with her hands. Nothing happens for a moment before a star, oh so faint red star appears within the middle of the pleasent amber glows. The inner chamber a brillant ruby well the outer a lovley scarlet. Motionng then with her hand, the star starts to come to them from the flames before seemingly to shrink in size as the distance closed between it and Fuin. Finally it stopped within her reach, the size now of her little plam. Plusing with a gently glow, but not painfully to touch. Almost like a glowing light toy if you will. Smiling, Eien hoped that Fuin could use this eternal firehoshi if needed.

Looking to the food, she reaches over and takes a piece of the bread and dips into the broth for aboout ten seconds. Bringing it out and ripping it off a soaken piece. Eien holds it to Fuin's mouth to eat, smiling down to her too take it. It is good and she thinks the little one will like it. She would eat after Fuin, the young one needed food for now. Hearing the small noise she cooes to her quietly. Not noticing as the woman pointed and gapped at them. Tthe silver haired woman and the little girl being within her pregnant lap.

Fuin stared in wonder at what Eien was doing and held out her hand, fingers pawing at the star as she closed her hand around it, tendrils of shadow snaking out as it was absorbed into her palm where it shone warmly. She clenched and unclenched her fist a few times as she poked at the gem like object that now sat quite snuggly within her hand.

As she was presented with the broth socked bread, this tore her attention away from the gem embedded in her palm as she sniffed at it before flicking her tongue over it. Obviously it tasted good because the child's eyes lit up and she happily ate what she was presented with. Smacking her lips she jiggled about in Eien's lap as she continued to look around her, waiting for the next piece of bread. Her gaze fell back on the fire and her eyes twinkled.

What Fuin did next was probably incredibly foolish, but how else does one learn but through mistakes? With a smile at Eien Fuin wriggled out of the pregnant woman's lap, holding one hand out towards the warmth of the fire as she toddled unsteadiy forwards, the bread and brother forgotten for now. It probably wouldn't take Eien long to realise what Fuin was going to do. After all, how else do children learn but to copy what they see around them?

(( Meh. To avoid complications, and since he didn't really do/accomplish anything durring his brief stay, I'm just going to pretend that the random biker never actually showed up... since... ya know... it just makes it easier on me or something. I 'unno.

Since the only person who seemed to notice him was Night, and they exchanged all of like 2 sentences, I think it'd be pretty easy to just pretend he was never here... ))

A bird chirps in the distance, the midday sun still high in the sky, though the shadow cast over the edge of the forest by the stadium walls and the large blood dome surrounding them seemed almost to mock the bright light of the sun.

Eien reached around for another piece of bread for Fuin, her star diming in thought slightly of as she was happy the little one had eaten the broth and had a clear fill. Hopefully she would not eat too fast and make her little stomach sick, like she could talk Eien would have this in her bottomless stomach within three seconds. Taking a quick drink, she glances to Fuin, seeing her play with the star. She hoped that Fuin would like one of her stars and maybe if she wished, when the little one would wish to see her chambers. The stars there would like her so.

Looking back to takes to bread to feed her little one again before feeling her wiggle from her plumb lap, turning back quickly she sees Fuin stumble to the fire. No you do not little one, scared now that her little shadows would hurt herself. Dropping the bread, Eien slender arms reached out quickly and pulled Fuin back just as she reached the flames, but it was close enough to get a small sting. A warning of that some pretty things should not be touched, but only looked at. Placing her back within her lap, she holds Fuin gently yet firmly within one hand and rising to wave a finger in front of her. A no, no, no motion as she points to the flames and shakes her head. Looking into red eyes.
((Ish for a bit, extremely bad night and upset. Try to be on later.))

Reaper had slipped out of the tent early that morning just before the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon. Walking out of the encampment Shin had brought her to last night. That was certianly a experience she would never forget. Walking out a few yards till she was about ten yards away from the encampment.

Once there she stopped to take in a few slow and deep breaths. Setting down her sword and gauntlets beside her feet as she stood there. Lifting her arms up her hands level with her chest. Then stretched out towards the shadows her fingers would curl in towards her palm. The shadows beginning to move towards her. The right hand opened up fully and slowly went gliding back and down wards towards her hip palm facing the shadows.

Part of the shadows came slithering toward the direction of her right hand while the other kept the rest at bay. Then she would take the left and slowly drag it towards her right hand. To the point where all her fingers and two thumbs were pointing down at the shadow. Slowly and smoothly she would raise her hands upwards. The shadow beginning to rise up out of the ground becoming three dimensiol like the rest of the world.

It was the basic steps of meditation and focus. The best way to teach yourself to have patience and to have smooth graceful movements in your actions. Like she was with her sword all of her movements were smooth and graceful as if dancing a to a slow song. Her left hand would then move back out and head to her other hip the shadow following through the air in the same graceful movements that she was making.

Shin was much of a sleeper, and dawn came fast. He had been out and about long before dawn came, when the moon was still high in the sky. Much like he did every night, Shin returned in the morning from his nightly patrols. As he returned to the encampment and his tent, he found that the woman who had been in his tent was not there.

Instead, he found that she was a ways away, doing some sort of meditation with shadows. He approached her slowly as to not disrupt her. He stood behind her and watched, the shadows licked up her sides and back down.

"Morning..." Shin stated quitely.

Reaper opened her single eye the blind one covered by the bandanna again. She pushed her hands downwards leading the shadows back into the ground and let her fingers uncurl. Releasing her hold on the shadows letting them return to their place as the sun continued to rise. While she turned around to face Shin she would snatch up her sword and gauntlets strapping them back on.

"Good morning, Shin." Reaper answered lowering her head and shoulder forward and down a bit in a small bow.

"Did you sleep well? I noticed you were not sleeping on the floor this morning when I first woke."

He shrugged at her comment. It's not like he didn't want to sleep in the same tent as her, hell... He would sleep in the same bed as her, its just that he normally doesn't sleep that well. Of course, naturally, he woulden't tell her that he would sleep with her.

"I dont sleep all to much..."

A simple reply to her simple comment. He motined to herself and smiled.

"Your looking great... I mean, are you training?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 11, 2005 2:37 pm

"Just running through the basic routines." Reaper answered. "Usually, I would train from dawn till I get hungry then I would start training again."

It used to drive her teachers crazy how hard she would push herself daily to raise her skills further. But, they also respected her for it as well becaus she never was one to give up so easily.

"I usually don't sleep so well either." Actually she didn't but that was normal. "Too many nightmares."

He laughed a bit at her comment.

"I coulden't have guessed you trained that much..."

After her defeat against him the other day he slightly doubted her training. Then again though, she did manage to cut off a couple strands of hair. So, she suffered from nitemares? He coulden't have guessed what happened to her village, and he didn't want to ask.

As for his own village, well he had enough unpleasent memories about that. For one, he was the last known survivor of the entire country of Volcanis. But furthermore... his friends and family had all been burnt alive.

He shivered a bit but soon calmed himself.

"I noticed your performance yesterday when we fought... do you require some additional training? If so I can teach you. From the looks of things, you use the Shadow Arts and, while its not my main element, I am quite proficent in it."
PostPosted: Sat Jun 11, 2005 2:56 pm

"Well...I train that much but I never actually had a single teacher. I got switched around a lot because I was a pretty rough kid when I was younger. Always got into fights." Reaper explained.

Reaper grinned to herself remembering those times she always found herself in a fight when she was a kid. But..most of those fights were over how the kids used to treat her younger siblings. The reminder of her siblings made the grin vanish from her lips and her face sadden a bit for a few seconds before she put those memories to the back of her mind.

"But..that why I have come here. Because I heard of the academy thinking that it would teach me how to further lengthen my skills. I don't train for the glory or the money nothing of that sort." Reaper continued. "But..since your vice-captain..wouldn't you be a bit busy to train someone?"

He waved her off.

"Of course Im not to busy. This period of time currently is a stagnant one for most individuals, exspecially the Kyonuske. The stadium is in ruins and people are dying left and right. I have my orders to stay out so I can't very well do anything now can I?"

He smiled at her as he explained.

"So you see lovley... I am quite useless at this present time. Training you would be great and rewarding for the both of us. I have several Shadow Skills that I have not taught anyone. Like for instince, that move I pulled on you in the forest."
