With his back turned, Nana would be able to see the rather nasty scar on Than's back. 4 symbols were arranged in a diamond pattern around a 5th, much large symbol. Each symbol was encased in a circle, the circles of the smaller interlinked with the circle of the large one. There were lines that connected the symbols to any other one adjacent to them, lines that were carved to follow along the pattern of Than's veins. The scar looked painful, and it hadn't healed exceedingly well, the scar tissue being a dark purple. The symbols seemed to be Angelican or celestial in nature....but they were very ancient markings yet deciphered*

*Than walks for a moment before he notices Nana isn't following, rather just staring. He blinks* come on.......is something wrong?

nani? They? What're you.... *He remembers he was in fact not wearing his coat, leaving his back exposed* Ah! >.< oh... the scar..... nnn *he takes a breath, pauses, then smiles softly at her, waving for her to follow him as he walks* It's... don't worry about it. It happened a long time ago..... actually I've pretty much forgotten it was there.... it's a blur how I got it *He chuckles* It's a little more sensitive to touch than the rest of me but I get by with it...... just another one of my quirks.

*He still smiles his best as he steps in the elevator and waits for her* There's nothing wrong Nana-sama ^^ There really.... isn't that much to pry at. I don't usually like to hide my past.... at least not from those close to me and people like you ^_^ But..... thanks for caring

*Than presses the button for the ground floor and takes a breath. He looks toward the crestfallen Nana and smiles compassionately. Next thing Nana would know was Than's arms wrapping around her mid section and embracing her gently. Than's eyes were closed as he rested his head on her shoulder* Onegai..... don't what's in my past haunt your life. It's past me.... you can put it past you too

nnn.... *Than weakens a little, now given his first real chance at rest since Mastema's mind delver. That ordeal had worn him out... he wanted to fall asleep right then..... Nana's embrace was just that welcoming to him. As he started to faulter he stops...... something was wrong. Than thinks for a moment and remembers the last time he'd felt this sort of comfort........ Kaiori's embrace..... before she died, before she changed, and before she came back with a new outlook. Than sighs silently...... it was his sympathy and compassion that got her where she was now..... her pain. Than wasn't about to let his cursed sympathy cause Nana the same pain. Almost as soon as the elevator touches down, he pulls out of the embrace, feeling that if he stayed in her arms he wouldn't be able to move forward the way he had to. If he was going to change something, he had to change himself* ^_^ Let's go.... *He slowly walks out of the elevator and towards the door* So you wanna walk or should we take a flight?

*He chuckles* How about we just walk this time... will make it easier to chat without the wind. *He smiles and opens the front door, holding it open for her once he's out* ^^
