Sunray Tristram Candycane Scartissue Taji blushed softly as she nodded, looking at Tempest's apparent joy. I'm so glad you think so, she said, smiling faintly to her new friend. rubbed the back of her head then glanced to Taji. "All I'd need now was a mask. And how about your stuff?" she said in thought, conjuring a blank mask made out of thin, comfortable, flexable plastic. I'll get mine soon enough, she said with a faint smile.

Tempest tilted her head then looked down at all the supplies. As much as she wanted to just sit there and go at it, she wanted more to get to know Taji. "Well, alright. I'll work on mine later as well. How about we, uh, just get to know each other?"

Yi Xian accepted the note from her with a tiny look of confusion on his furry features. He looked at her from the corner of his eye and caught her blushing which made him squirm slightly. He tried to reassure himself that she was simply asking because he'd danced with her. After all, if you knew someone was a good dancer and there was a dancing event coming up then why not invite them?
The wolf lay back against his coat once more and held the note above him, reading and re reading the thing as one ear twitched back and forth in curiosity.
"So... would this mean that I'd have to dress up all fancy?"
Yeah right, like the frills he was wearing wasn't fancy at all...

Standing up Madison moved in closer,her bashfullness gone now that he at least seemed interested in the event.
I guess so
She peered again at the note,scanning it for any hint of what exactly to wear.
I'll probably get a little dressed up,a nice mask and a plain yet elegent dress, and I suppose you could just wear a plain tux or something.
She wrinkled her nose trying to picture her Da Gei in a tux,funnily enough she could see him in something white looking more like a jazz musician then anything.
She gazed into the pond for a minute,appearing to be thinking hard about something.
So what color do you think would suit me?
She said ,poking her tounge out playfully.

"I can't wear something -plain-." Yi Xian huffed, wrinkling his nose slightly, "I come from a long line of romany and we don't do -plain-."
He licked his maw like the word left a dirty feel in his mouth and shook his head slightly before glancing over at her, trying to decide what exactly she could wear to a masquerade. Automatically his thoughts fell to vibrantly dark colors and he lifted a hand, raking his nails through her short thick hair.
"Well I think you should try something... short. Or maybe layers. A slim dark violet skirt going to your ankles with a shorter skirt over top... burgundy maybe with black lace at the bottom of it. Silver sandals with your toe nails painted silver too... and for the top... maybe a slightly billowing three quarter length dress shirt, violet as well. And then of course whatever jewellery you like..."
He cleared his throat with a slight blush and leaned back once more. Nope, romany didn't like to be plain in the least.

Ah..she's got such pretty eyes.., Tempest thought, having to blink her way out of their depths so she could actually speak. "Oh..uh..well, can't say my background's been all that exciting." Before continuing, she shifted some, folding her legs infront of her to get comfortable. "Grew up in a kingdom, as a commoner I guess you'd say, and ended up befriending the one of the two princesses in which both live here now. Grew up normally...though my brother, when he was old enough, packed up and left to see the world and add to his weapon collection. Dad left when I was ten so he could concentrait on work. Mama got sick a few years back with only me to take care of her...but she ended up dying. Being left alone, I decided to just leave myself and find something new which lead me here." She added a small shrug, her eyes reflecting some emotion but not a lot. She'd gotten the hang on hiding emotions when talking about her family in such a way.

plain? he said the word almost in disgust. Didn't he know the phrases 'plain and simple'? 'less is more'?
his claws pulled at her hair slightly,but it was more of a calming massage feeling rather then pain. She at least hoped this had been his intention.
For a guy,your pretty fashion orientated. I wouldn't have a clue or inkling to think of something like that.
She tried harder to think of something that would suit him,the outfit he wore now was already pretty much to the likeness of a masquerade,minus the mask of course.
I suppose you could wear a more victorian type of thing. Probabbly The same color your wearing now since you look good in it,ot maybe a navy blue?
She noticed his blush,he looked more childish that way fo some reason.
IT made her wonder if his sister or family had the same trait and weaher his sister would come to the masquerade.
Now that thats decided what about mask? I think you'd look awsome in an elemnt kind of mask. Maybe fire? Then again that's a bit unoriginal if you know what I mean?

He wondered if her statments were meant to be complimentary or not and rubbed just under his nose, staring up at the sky, trying to pick out shapes in the clouds. He managed to find a rabbit and a dragon before answering her about the matter of masks.
"I suppose it might be unoriginal, but I've been told that my element is more aligned with wind, water and dreams. So maybe I should wear light clothes? Or..." He shot up in his seat, grinning and let his tail wag behind him. "If I'm going with the water element I could dress up as a fish or something?"

Oh, I see, Taji said, smiling faintly to Tempest as she rested her hand on the girl's leg. Seems you've been through quite the ordeal, she added, her smile fading to a slight pout as she thought back on her life, not finding anything...really important to complain about. You seem okay now...And if you ever need anything, I'm here, okay? she said, turning her pout back into a chipper smile.

Madison hid a chuckle. A fish was defininitly original,and probably unexpected. She decided it would depend on the costume really. Turning up in a ACTUAl fish costume with a head gaping out the mouth would look silly. however ig he were to wear say a mask with 'gills' coming off the side would look alright if he wore it with some kind of 'scaly' outfit.
A fish would be..to say the least interesting. But I guess to be truly honest I wouldn't.
She murmmered the last part,hoping as not to offend.
He striked her more of a dream or wind person then water.
If you reall want to dress as an animal,you could use wind and be a dragon or dream as any other fantasy creature,or one of your own desighn.
She thought about it for a moment,putting herthumb to the bottom of her lip giving her the child like appearance she had though of Yi Xian.
But if your bent on water you could chose many other things,sea snakes,jelly fish,merman,alligator even a frog!
She shrugged,there were many more if chance happened she wanted to name them.

My life... Taji said, her voice trailing off before she smiled brightly. Well, I've got...more siblings than I can count. My dad's never been around...really never been around in my life, but always sends gifts from Japan, where he lives and has a large record label. He sends me CDs, candy, money, and books, but I know it's just to make up for his absense. My mom and I never really got along, mostly because she's got too much on her plate, but I do respect her for what she's done, she's an excellent mother... she said, smiling to Tempest. Yeah...that's about it though. I grew up in a small town, was pampered, and then decided to move her because Makoto, one of my brothers, and Arashi, my twin sister, moved here and thought it was great.

"I'm sorry about your parents...but it must still be nice to gets gifts and such." Tempest stretched then laid back, hand pillowing her head. "A big family much be nice as well. Mama always wanted another child." She shrugged a little, a little glad that she hadn't. The middle child just wasn't a possision Tempest wanted. "Do you like being here? In the Underground?"

At the mentioning of the alligator Yi Xian started to laugh and covered his face, stiffling the sound as best he coul. He didn't do nearly enough of a good job because the next few words out of his mouth were: "Schni schna schnappi, schnappi schnappi schnap!"
Where ever the little bit of German came from he couldn't say from his laughing. When he finally managed to stop he sat up, wiping his eyes absently to brush away the few traces of tears that welled up there.
"I'm sorry... but you're right, the sky's the limit..."
