"Are you sure about that...? After all...Kayako's here." Asuka looked wearily at the hallways enterance. Any minute now, she expected a very angry Tolly Marcius or another important person to walk in and scream at all of them.
And Kayako? She was waving her arms in front of Rain, excited to tell the sleep-iner about all the mayhem that had ensued.
"LOOKIE!!! I totally SWIPED stuff!!"
She showed Rain the crate of pack lunches plundered from the workers.

"Well, even old men sometimes have fun this way. It's only dangerous if there is... O crap!" Like a bolt medri got up and raced to the hanger... water plus the fact he dropped his staff on the now soaked ground and the fact his staff had a nice charge in it. Thank fully no one touched the wter and medri got the staff back fore anyone got a near fatial shock.

Rain felt her stomach grumble and she put her hand on it. Looking at the food, she quickly snatched some of the food with lightening, vicked fast reflexes. She opened up a bag and began to eat a sandwich. "Nice job," she said as she chewed.

Kayako herself had a cookie, and was eating it while laughing-sure way to get choked...but who cares!
"Heh, ya know we probably could've asked Tolly..but this was MUCH more fun!! Just hope he's not too mad about the water..."
Of course, she hadn't told Rain about the water....

"Water?" Rain questioned, thinking she meant that she stole some or something along those lines. Shrugging, Rain continued to injest her tasty-good sandwhich.
"This sandwhich is tasty-good," she said in a tone unlike how this one normally says it.

"Well, there's this little mess out near the LFOs in the hangar.."
Kayako bit the last bit of the cookie, then grabbed herself a sandwhich. There was something strange about Tolly's place...what kind of workers leave ALL their lunches in the same crate?? Or in a crate at ALL for that matter??

"Oh, I see," she said, nodding her head a little. She figured Kayako must have gotten into one of her crazy yet not-angry-crazy kind of moods again. Rain just sat in the silence for a while.
"So," she began to break it. "How have... you been doing?"

She bit into the sandwhich, not caring if that sentence made sense. She never made sense anyways...so why start now.
"You know Rainy, you need to socialize more! Even Asuka talks to people...well, she sorta has to apologize for me alot..."

Rain looked down at the half-eaten sandwhich in her hands. She gave a "not-so-sure" kind of look as she stared at the details of the bread. "I don't know..." she said. "I haven't really had any good experiences with people until you came along. And even then, it's just mostly you."

"That's just cause ya gotta talk more often! I mean, it's annoying...we have FIVE people in our group! Every single person does NOT need to curl up in a corner!"
She bit the sandwhich angrily, as if taking out her frustration on the plundered lunchmeats.
"Honestly, I only put up with Gray doing that cause every time he comes out he makes me mad. And Medri probably would be a lizard-mole if he wasn't undressing Asuka with his eyes half the day..."

Rain kept looking down at her sandwhich. "What wasn't the problem," she said really quietly. Feeling like changing the subject, she inquired something from Kayako. "You obviously knew Gray before you met me," she said. "Was he always like this?" She looked up at Kayakp and cocked her head to the side, waiting for a response.

"Actually..." she looked down "I didn't meet him face to face until we broke him out at the foundation. I saw him though....I fought him near the Rehk ship, and then I saw him in a dream on the way to Warusawa..."
She put down her sandwhich, since she wasn't really hungry anymore. She actually doubted she was ever hungry; most likely she just ate because the food looked yummy.
"I don't think he was always like this.....he seemed different in the vision. Nicer....I don't know what happened after we got out. It's like he thinks everything he does or says will kill someone."

Rain looked down again. Kayako was most likely the only one to ever have a full on conversation with Gray, even if it was in some dream-like thing. "Poor guy," was all Rain said. She put her sandwhich to her face and took another bite.

Kayako leaned against a wall, only to let herself slide down and draw her legs up to her chest. For some reason, talking about Gray always made her feel....strange for lack of a better word.
"He did seem different. Really different. I liked him better that way..."
She hid her face, just because she always did so when she felt any kind of strong emotion. Maybe it was a security thing, who knows.

Rain remained silent. She had nothing else to add to this. She couldn't think of anything. As she finished up her sandwhich, she wished she could comfort Kayako in some way, but nothing came to mind.
"Let's go pester him," she said, something very idiosyncratic for her to say.
