Nakago_Chan I read somewhere that supposedly Nurkio's family ran a very profitable clothing shop in the main city of Konan. Which is why Nurkio was always dressed very well. The people who sold Takiko and co. the clothes while they were in Konan I heard were supposed to be the great ancestors of Nuriko's family.
I can't remember where I read that though xp 3nodding I remember reading that his family had a clothing shop. Thats another reason why I thought that woman had to be related to him, besides the fact that she resembled him...
...I wonder if Yuu Watase will mention something about that in volume 6...

xX.Ice_Master._Tomite.Xx GK is set 200 years in the past, not 100, yeah. and there aren't enuff new chappies to make a vol 6, yeah. crying ...umm... As in what time period they are in when they are in the book? Because if you're referring to the Taisho Era in which Takiko lives in in Japan then that's 1912-1926 which definitely makes it less than 100 years ago.

Within the book it is supposed to be set 200 years prior to the rise of the Suzaku warriors. Time passes differently in the real world, though, so it is set in the Taisho Era.
And, volume 5 just came out and it didnt end the story...so most likely there will be a volume 6 >.>
Its just going to take a while.
New chapters are supposed to come out in December, but we'll see how that goes.

But atleast it is coming out. And she is pretty swamped with all of the work she has to do. I'm just glad that we get to actually see her work and everything.

Genbu Kaiden is sooooooo much better than the original. I like Takiko muchos more than stupid Miaka....she annoyed me incredibly.
Oh, and volume five was my favorite so far!!!!!!! I loved when they went into the red light district; that was so funny!!! whee

Yeah that was really funny. It made me laugh a lot. Does anyone else think its kinda odd that some of the seshi's look a lil funny in this series? I mean I know they all cant be beautiful like Hotohori XD But I dunno I just thought that for some weird reason.

Honestly, I find all the Genbu Kaiden seishi very good looking (excluding Hatsui, but hes cute x3).
Rimudo is my favorite, yummy.
