Chips flew from the wall and Kai eagerly awaited the trembling and shaking associated with a cave-in and was slightly disappointed as she realized nothing was going to happen. With a heavy sigh she moved on to the next wall and got ready to enjoy some quality destruction.

Izumi's blow made a solid connection with the wall. Still, there was some doubt as to whether this wall was safe. Another swing or two would be enough to determine its stability. A quick look revealed nothing out of the ordinary so he rose the axe and struck again.

Ryoko looked on to her students. Ahh the pride she had at seeing them work so diligently. Soon, she couldn't help herself. She wanted to help out in the action as well. She moved over toward one of the walls and looked it over. She ran her hand over the rough and spiky surface of the rocks. Her eyes were closed and she couldn't help but feel a bit...odd. A pair of eyes were on her back...well maybe a bit lower but you get the general idea. Looking over her shoulder, she could see the eyes of the old man gazing at her a** without any worry about being caught. He was old...what was she gonna do.
She began to shake off her feeling of smaking the man and reached back. She then realized she'd have to touch her rear area since that's where her combat gloves were. She could only imagin how excited that would make the old pervert so she made an attempt to do it ever so slowly and suductivly. Taking them out, she sliped them onto her hands ever so slowly and finally took up a fighting stance. Pulling back, her fist dug into the wall as she forced her punches at the hardened wall.
She made sure to pull her punches and only went after walls that were seemingly harder than her students had. She didn't want to take any work away from them now did she?

(9+4+1= 14 27/25 third wall complete. 1 ryo coal found.)
Izumi took a step back and examined the wall. It looked pretty sturdy so he decided to move on. Before he did he spotted a speck of black and went to examine it more closely. He pulled a small lump of coal out of the wall and pocketed it. He made his way to the next wall and prepared to strike again. Before he could, however, he was distracted by a large sound of something crashing into rock. He turned to see the Ryoko had joined in on the work. Remembering what had happened to the building, Izumi suddenly felt a little more cautious about his work. Taking a deep breath he swung the axe hoping that the teams combined efforts wouldn't bring down the whole place.

Izumi frowned as the pickaxe connected with the wall. It was a decent strike but this wall was a good deal stronger then the others. He would need a few more strikes to determine if it was truly safe. A quick glance at the crack he had made showed him a small peice of coal which he added to the collection in his pocket. Then he rose the axe again and prepared to strike. This was a sturdy wall. There was no need to hold back.

Izumi's blow was one of the best he had landed so far. In fact, only one more would likely be needed to make sure this wall was safe. Suddenly a glimmer of metal caught his eye. He reached into the crack he had made and pulled out a small chunk of metal..... It was gold. Izumi could hardly believe his eyes, he had just found gold! He carefully placed in a pocket different from the one he kept the coal in, not wanting to get it dirty in any way. Perhaps there was more gold still in this wall... Eager to find out he rose the axe and swung again.

Recck recieved the note about their teams mission andmade his way to the caves as fast as he could even though he was late to the group. He walked around a little before he found the team digging into the walls of the cave and made his way over to Ryoko-sensei gulping a little.
"Ryoko-sensei? I'm here. Heh, sorry I'm a little late."

(4th wall complete 5 ryo silver found. Man I'm rich....)
Izumi connected with yet another solid blow. The wall remained standing so he assumed it wasn't going to be coming down anytime soon. Another shimmer of metal caught his eye from the crack in the wall. More gold perhaps? Izumi quickly pried the metal out to find it was not gold, but silver. Marveling at his luck in finding such rare metals, Izumi pocketed the silver and moved on to his 5th wall. This one looked stronger so he made sure to swing with all his might.

Ryoko heard the call of hre named and looked over to the boy as he came in. Hmmm she wasn't in the best of moods with him at the moment and its showed on his face. She began to walk up to him with a clinched fist.
Standing over him, she lookd him in the eye and then raised her clinched hand. She brought it down to bash him in the head(lightly even though it looked like it should crack his skull open) "Baka! Took you forever and a day. Whatever, come here."
She soon picked reck up by the hair and dragged him over to a wall. As she did, she explained the instructions to the boy and stuck him in a wall further back. It was a very solid looking wall but at the same time, it had several fissures and cracks in it that looked like it could crack it at any moment. "Now, get to work"

Izumi made yet another solid blow to the wall. He had quite a few of those so far and could really tell that the intense training Ryoko had put him through was paying off. He wasn't quite sure about this wall yet but another blow or two and it would be safe. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary in the slight crack he had made so he rose the axe and swung again.

At the last second the pickaxe slipped out of his grip and clanged against the wall. It was still a hit but nowhere near as strong as it would have been had he maintained a proper grip. Izumi, silently upset, wiped his hands on his pants and took a look at the wall. There wasn't much difference from before and he could see nothing new. Ready to redeem himself after that last swing, he took the axe in hand and swung again.

The wall held but needed one more strike to verify its true fortitude. Kai wiped her arm across her brow, wondering just how long this was going to take. She glanced around to see the team still hard at work, Izumi was definitely getting some profit out of all of this. Well no use just sitting around.

Kaiho jumped back as a strange shining rock fell from the wall as she struck it. Realizing that it was only a rock she ventured forward for a better look. Though covered with grit and dirt, as she brushed it off she recognized the look of the rock, rather the metal from one of the many pieces of jewelry her parents owned. It was a small lump of pure gold. With a grin she slipped the gold into her pouch and set off to the next wall. She knew that mining held lots of potential for making money, but never expected it to be this much fun. She gave the axe at her side a stroke before gripping the handle and rearing back for the next wall.
Here's hoping that wall three was as enriching as wall two.

This wall crumbled a bit more than the first two, and more easily. Still it held. The rubble at her feet yielded nothing, but that was still better than being buried in the rock. She swung again at the wall putting her all into the swing.
