Hailey scrunched her nose and laughed after. "Okay... I was super wrong! You two can totally be science dorks together!" she teased. She thought science and stuff was okay, but she didn't like the work of the classes. All strapped into the gear now, Hailey held the crystal gun up and grinned widely at the two. "Be prepared for ultimate dooooom!" and off she went into the battlefield for the game that had been set up.
Malachi smiled at Nikora. "I really like science too. And math. Hailey says I'm a dork for that. heh..." And after some struggling he got himself into the gear... he thought. It was as good as it was going to get, anyways. "Good luck Nikora~ And don't take anything Hailey does personally... she's super competitive." He gave a bit of a wince as he took his step on in now.... this was not going to be pretty for him.
After the match, Hailey emerged from the game playing field, dancing excitedly. "Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!" she chanted as she cheered her team's victory. A very defeated Malachi walked up beside her and she draped her arm over his shoulder. "Don't sweat it Khai! Maybe we'll be same teamsies next time and I won't kick your butt~ Hee!" And then she turned to Nikora and beamed. "You rocked, Niko!" and gave her a big hug. After a couple moments, she pulled back, smirking. "I'm stealing Khai away, now, kay?~ But we'll meet you up for snowfamily time!" and with that, Hailey grabbed Malachi's hand, taking him to where they could shed the gear and collect their prizes... quickly stealing him away to do more whatever the festival had to offer!

Before much else could be done, Dodger had disappeared for a few minutes. He needed... a pee break real quick and didn't want to embarrass himself by tell Gly. On his way back, he found a new book that seemed interesting. He hardly understood what the sudden attraction to books was, but hey! they could prove to be very great time spenders... or wasters depending on how good or bad the book ended up being. He didn't know if his couple minute absence was really noticed, but he jumped back into the conversation they were having, happily snacking on food and jabbering on.

The festival was really beginning to be something enjoyable as the Litch took to walking about and just snacking on the peppermint bark. It might as well been infused with Solstice spirit with the way that Bobbi was actually wearing a genuine smile now. Though, there was this strange buzzing noise that seemed to be getting louder. Hmmmm... Simply shrugging it off, Bobbi pulled out another piece of bark and chewed on it. Yum. But then that buzzing noise was growing even more! What was that?! The Litch looked about, not seeing anything that might cause such a sound. It wasn't until xe turned about did Bobbi discover the cause! There was a -- oh what were they called... -- Fuzzbug? Fluffbug? Well, one of those things quite nearby! Curious, as this was the first time Bobbi had seen one outside of books, xe reached out to touch the nearby fuzzy creature. When it didn't pull away or get angry, the Litch petted it gently and even giggled. It was so soft and wonderful!
The Goblin was all too amused when the other male tried to steal his phone. He pondered taunting him with something along the lines of 'well you can still try to get it', but thought it might be pushing it for a public area with so many kids around. Damn. "Oh really? You think so, huh? Well I guess we'll just have to see about that then, huh?" he said, winking.
"Dang... Ah well." he said to himself before Ryker had finished. "Oh! Hmmmm... Is that so? Well lucky for you, I'm a cheap date if that ends up being the case. Hee." And so the Grimm wouldn't have a chance to get away, Matty stepped up beside him and looped his arm through the other's. "Well my handy, dandy tour-guide, please lead on. But I'm tellin' yah, if I go too long on just junk food, it could become disastrous for you. I'm a very obnoxious flirt when I'm hungry." He grabbed himself up a blue bulb necklace and a cute purple plushie, setting that on Ryker's head. "But I'm pretty giving, too~"

Well now that Exodus had gotten a few things here and there, and even managed to give a kid a plushie, he didn't quite know what to do with himself. Again. Mayhaps venturing to the festival wasn't the best use of his time. He needed to be studying and such, not indulging in frivolities and such. This was most likely a sign that he needed to head home and hit the books again. And just as he was thinking that, he spied another booth that had quite the nice assortment of books. Oh... It wouldn't hurt him to at least go and see what they had. It wasn't long before a book had caught his attentions and he decided he had to have it. Taking it up in arm, Exodus graciously paid for his new treasure and found himself a bench once more. He wanted to at least get a start on reading it... There was nothing wrong with that.
Well, the answer was obvious, wasn't it? "Pizza," Xeno said firmly. "It's gotta be pizza. It's the only thing everyone agrees on."
"That and Woodholm cuisine."
Xeno hesitated. That...did sound good... He flipped a few more cards to win another stuffed wolf and a bundle of candy canes. "That sounds good, too..." He hesitated. Which should they pick...?
"I'm sort of leaning towards Woodholm cuisine myself," Jurvik said. "That way, each of us can order the dish we like most and we can share." It was good for the budget, the stomach, and the soul. He flipped the cards one more time to earn a red and gold bracelet. "Come on, it's getting late."
Xeno nodded and followed his father backstage.
This was nice. All day, Chries had been surrounded by people who were being too...loud, or enthusiastic, or clingy, or...well, people who wanted to impress him. And here was someone who was impressed by him. It was a nice change. Tension he didn't even know he had started to flow out of him. He tossed a couple more rings to win a pair of silver earrings. "You're welcome, Zalir. Though I still say you did all of the hard work."
Darnit! Ah, but there was nothing to gain from just firing a gun a lot. Oriset looked around for something else to do. Someone tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey," they said. "If you're free, could you help us hand out hot cocoa to people?" They gave Oriset a frantic smile.
Ori stared at them. They were a Baphomet. They weren't a Daydream. They didn't know...what Goblins were.
What Goblins were supposed to do.
Ori grinned. "Yeah, sure!"
The Baphomet smiled in relief. "Thanks, I super appreciate it!"
"Yeah, no problem!" Ori followed them to a stand that was giving out hot cocoa, got a brief explanation of how it worked and was handed an apron with its pockets stuffed with candy canes.
"You can have one if you'd like," the Geist in charge said.
Ori nodded. "Thanks." She saluted, took a tray, and set off into the crowd, a bundle of candy canes stowed away in her own pocket.
Quilo had had a very good day, and he wanted something to remember it by. The next time one of those people giving out necklaces came by, he requested a pink one. It made him think of Ella. He went over to a ball toss game as well, and there won a stuffed vespercat. Yes, this was a very good day.
Okay, now Wyrdda was a little out of breath...but not as tired as she wanted to be. She liked being tired on a cold night--it gave her something to aspire to. If it could be called that. So she took the obstacle course again, this time doing much better. She won a stuffed wolf with a bracelet around its wrist. She smiled at the vendor, showed them the "thank you!" card and moved on.
Eventually, the Litch ran Kuni off, and while the kids were still looking for goodies, he was forced to leave the area. An ignoble defeat for a proud scion of the Oak Tribe. Gah. He comforted himself by winning some blue cotton candy at a basketball stand. Not much of a stand, but whatever. He needed some sugar to make himself feel better.
The sight of Lillian's mug made Vederat thirsty again. He took another mug from the same vendor and sipped at it while contemplating the boxes of trinkets. They were running low, and he couldn't figure out which stuffed animal he wanted right now...
Drinks sounded like a very good idea right now. But Talya didn't want to drink something as vulgar as chocolate, did she? Real princesses drank tea, that was a fact. The vendor, however, did not have tea. Not in a purple mug, anyway, and she was not going to drink from a green mug, no matter what her house was. So she took a purple one, one filled with cider--that was a good enough compromise. She sipped at it and watched the world go by.
Lillian had seen people walking around with the pretty glowing necklaces. She kind of wanted one for her own. She contemplated the colors. She didn't have a real preference--she liked most colors pretty equally--even brown! But in the end, she settled on a gold one. It just...it looked nice. Like the sun!
Evelyn was determined to get one of each candy offered at the event, and it turned out that the rejected trinkets included a bag of squashed cotton candy. She made a face. That really was no good...the whole point of cotton candy was to be puffed up. But when she brought it up to a senior, they opened up a new box of trinkets. And there, wrapped in big bubble wrap at the top, a perfectly intact cone of cotton candy! "Thank you!" she squealed.
Anchriesel was just...Really, really nice. Zalir felt zemself blushing again. "That's, um, that's very nice of you. So, um, what's your interest? Besides...besides flitterrats." Zey blushed again, then threw another hoop. Zey earned some peppermint candy canes from that toss.
Awwwwww. Teo had looked so sad and offended, but now... Hey, he was seeing a whole new side of Teo, wasn't he, when Prometheus wasn't around? He patted Teo on the back. His fellow hybrid looked like he was about to cry...without eyes. That...well, Peri wasn't sure he wanted to see how that worked. "It's not a problem. Reading to people is what friends do, right? Come on, let's each grab one more plushie and then we'll go find your mom, okay?" He picked up another bucket full of fake snowballs from the rejected trinkets and a stuffed kidden. It wasn't orange or green, but hey, it was red, and red was good, right? He wrapped an arm around Teo's shoulder.
Eidil just sort of had to giggle at Cal's chagrin. "They really are cute, Cal. I've heard a lot about them--they were domesticated a long, long time ago. They make honey, but they do eat vegetables when they're young, so you'll have to find something for their caterparvae to eat." She stuck her hand in one of the Chimera's mystery boxes and felt around. "Ha, I think it's a bowl of that liquid they put in snowglobes to make it all slow and viscous!"
The Chimera laughed. "You two are way too good at this now! Here, take a bracelet."
Eidil giggled and took a gold one. "Thanks!"
Teo nodded, then wiped his nose with a handkerchief. "I, um, I guess...that's what friends do." He didn't say that these were the first friends he'd ever made--Prometheus, Perigor, Parodia, Ustule. He didn't want to get all...well, he didn't want to raise a fuss, or be the center of one. "Um, could you maybe help me pick a plushie?"
"Yeah, of course." Teo was handed something soft and fluffy, followed by another bundle of candy canes. "You have nearly the whole set," Peri mumbled.
Teo nodded and leaned against his friend. "Thanks. Come on, let's go talk to Mom about a happy solstice!"
Gly laughed "Wow you cook, she is a lucky female then." Glykeria smiled "I hope I find someone special who can cook, some day" Gly smiled and said "Yes I want to do a lot of reading, see if it helps me gain more insight into the minds of others, I'm a psychology major, what about you??" She gladly accepted the candy and started to eat it as she looked for another game for them to play. Glykeria picked up a bag of peanut brittle to share with Dodger "Want some??" she asked him.

Acradia Tucked the Plushie under her arm till she managed to find Laurel and carried on looking round the event.
She rubbed her hands together and noticed a warm drink stand, that hot chocolate sure smelt heavenly, Why not treat herself to a cup!

Sprout considered as well, dragging a hand down the front of their shirt. "Are there people that are that good?" the Fallen asked in amazement. Using glamour to create full outfits? That would be so nice, maybe that's how they did it in the big leagues? Sprout shrugged it all off. "I like making things, I don't need illusions for props. I'll make the whole set if I have to." Sprout grinned freely.
The Fallen's wings splayed the slightest, feathers ruffling up. "No thanks, I don't want to swim," Sprout practically pouted, running a hand over their feathers to straighten them out. "I don't dry out as easily as you probably do with all that skin," Sprout commented, referring to the Senior's wings.
Odessa clung to her newest plushie as she and Kara walked through the crowd, her fluffbug still hovering around the two of them.
Kiessi watched as their mother started looking at other things. Smiling, they got on their tiptoes to look at the selection of jewelry, determined to get her one.
