Even though they were heading back into the field, Gin's partner hadn't lost a bit of her enthusiasm. Makoto wanted them to investigate the spread of the Buds, specifically by heading to the far side of town away from where they'd already located several Buds, and see if they were evenly distributed or not. But that sort of enthusiasm had to be curbed at some point, and he still had no idea just where her saturation point was. Was it possible...did she seriously have a bottomless love of bread!? Was she breaking the space-bread-time continuum!? Was she the fabled Ranger Red (Bread!?) "I'mma name my first child Mr. Baguette.'" Yeah. She probably was... Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Your plans are like a donut! Cause I'm about to poke holes all through them!" At the very least, Gin was beginning to adapt to his new partner, and follow her lead in symbiotic ways. She drew attention from the Rioters they were fighting, and he used the opening to dash in and break their phones before they could fight back. It was all good, except for one tiny details... "Give me all your bread if you want to live! Muahahahaa!" "Stop trying to mug people! Nobody mugs people for bread, except for you! What's WRONG with you!?" That's right, his partner had gotten comfortable with the Magical Bread Girl-Chan alter ego, and it had been fun for a while...but now she was essentially mugging people whenever she saw they had fried bread, or toast, or anything else grain-related on them. They weren't the good guys if they were picking fights unprovoked. What happened to the true Magical Bread Girl-Chan, the one who fought for peace and love!? (and yeast and dough!?) Strawberry Milk Goddess May there be peace to all who believe in salvation.As she had exited the store, with a box of strawberry milk in tow, she was not greeted by the last of the rioters that had calmed down, but a group of demons that seemed to be wanting to get to know her way more than she was interested.  Nix Gallen Nix finally got a chance to catch her breath but she was still starving after all that. Oddly enough that was when that same guy showed up. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "I've finished off the demon. We're heading back now." Gin glanced over towards his partner, who would have interrupted with some sort of bread based pun...had he informed her that he was calling headquarters. This was the only way he could get anything done, now! "Nothing went wrong, so the mission's been completed with little problem. As we thought, there aren't many Megrez Buds near the Residential Area..." The plan had been to figure out how they were distributed, but what he'd learned after all this time was merely that the Megrez Buds were focusing on the center of town, where people were most concentrated. Nix Gallen After chasing away the looters, Nix came across another Megrez Bud. While JPs would've liked her to arrest the looters, she saw this as more important. Nix Gallen These demons and buds were growing very troublesome. Just after she took down another demon, a Megrez Bud attacked her from behind! Eiji "Gin" Mishima "I'm nearing the Samegawa Bank. Looks like there are some demons here, just like they said there would be. I guess the protection's wearing off..." His demons were itching for a fight, and Gin could understand their enthusiasm as the scent of demon blood filled the air. It wasn't one he was fond of, nor did he particularly look forward to scraping by in another encounter, but ridding the world of as many demons as he could was the best way he could think of to help return some normalcy to the world. Although people without Apps couldn't safely leave their homes yet, they didn't have to worry about being attacked inside them for the time being. JPs was on the case, and he was assisting as best he could...so a small swarm like this, trying to use the riverbank as their only playground, would disappear in a flash when he put his mind to it. Nix Gallen That was far too close. Megrez showed up suddenly and nearly ended her life by firing the deadly projectiles in her direction. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Area secured." Gin's demon crushed the last underfoot as Gin placed a call back to base, and the ringing only lasted a moment before they picked up, allowing him to make an easy report. The demons weren't particularly powerful, so it wasn't' a difficult fight. Moreover, Samegawa was still a particularly important transport route, so there was no question that eliminating every last one of these creatures was useful...for now. Eiji "Gin" Mishima "Looks like there's a particularly vicious tarasque near the river. I'm going to eliminate it before it decides to make itself a home." Gin had decided to do a bit more scouting, and was thankful he did after locating a large beast near the river. It wasn't particularly aggressive, but when another team came through it would inevitably draw the demon's ire, even if Gin tried to convince it not to be a nuisance now. The demon required this habitat to survive, and it's survival meant harming other humans, so he couldn't work things out...it was sad, but inevitable that they would fight instead.
