"Here it is!" she declared, holding up the tiny bottle of glue she'd stolen. "I don't think it's very good but it'll work-"
She blinked as Rikki began insulting Shun. Where had that come from? "Him? Nah, he's just not used to friendship I think. But he's a good person! I can tell. I'm magic." She nodded, grabbing Rikki's wrist roughly to produce the two crown pieces, not being the slightest bit delicate. "Hold them still!"
With Rikki holding the pieces, she carefully applied the glue to one edge, with her tongue sticking out and everything. "Just gotta give him some time."

After Axel told him how good the food was he decided to grab some for himself. Cyril noticed how a bunch of people gathered to the banquet. He saw new and old faces gather around. Everyone seemed like they had their own thing going. He didn't want to be bothersome so he sat alone to enjoy his meal.

"Maybe because he's too crabby to make friends. He's seriously kind of a jerk, man." He glanced up skeptically at Danny's declaration, but was roughly jerked back into the task at hand. He furrowed his brows, focusing on holding the pieces still and together while Danny tried to glue them.
"I'll give him time, but I don't think he's going to come around."

Danny flicked Rikki on the nose. "If you're gonna give him a chance, you have to be nice!" Yeesh, everyone around here was so mean to one another.
The pieces were finally coated in a terribly messy blob of glue, so Danny squished them together. "How long should I hold it for ..."

Alec wasn't far away, and over heard the talk of not dying. A small reminder he too had made that very same promise. His eyes were distant then, recalling the days events as he watched from his spot the others talking. A lot had happened..in only a few days time span. Alec swore it felt like so much longer, between the Banquet, and Parade his life was taking a lot of unexpected bumps and turns. Sighing slowly he ran his hand over the back of his neck. For now he'd just mull about, maybe go find a place to sit and eat. He'd snuck some of the ale that was out, recalling Nik's comment about drinking such things, and decided it was rather pungent after a few sips. Yuck. Maybe he'd just quietly slip his mug back on the table for some one else to finish.
Wrinkling his nose a bit he grabbed himself a plate, sitting down in an unoccupied space and quietly ate.

The red head hadn't even planned on finishing it. So the fact some one was fussing him about it wasn't exactly his favorite. The sudden urge to down the whole damn contents of what he'd poured occurred to him, just because he'd been told he shouldn't do it. That and 'kiddo' line rewarded Cyril with a small huff sound from the younger. Alec been on good terms with him, but his ego didn't exactly like being reminded he was still a child. "Whatever, I was just curious. And I'm not a kid, Cyril. I'm older than I look." He waved a gloved hand dismissively, popping a mouthful of food in before he got cranky over the situation. He was short yes, but he was 15, more than able to sign up for the Military, or hold a job to help support his family. Maybe it was childish of him to say so or feel as such, but he insisted none the less. He was just young enough the other may have been right, but Alec was also just old enough to be completely and utterly stubborn about the matter. Alec wasn't really upset, but the older wasn't his keeper either. Plus, it wasn't like he was planning on grabbing another couple tankards full. What could a couple sips hurt?

Shakuntala's admission of promise startled Preacher. No one could promise that. Ever. She opened her mouth to speak and instead coughed. By the time she was done, Zinny had said something outrageous. Preacher stared at Zinnia. Was the girl serious? Her hand hovered over theirs; so close she could feel the heat of their skin. But then Shun walked by, and Preacher was reminded of all the things that were just different for her. She snatched her hand back and blinked rapidly. "I-I can't. I can't promise ya things that won't come true." Preacher's face was haunted for a second before it settled back into something like the cheeky smile she usually had. "W=well-" Abruptly, she stood, pushing away her mug. Ale sloshed over the edges.

Shakuntala jumped a bit at Zinnia's sudden enthusiasm again. She was positive she'd never get used to such energy. Upon realizing her little statement had spurred the birth of a larger promise caused her to waver. The seventeen year old hugged her hands to her waist and dipped her chin to where it sat parallel with her bosom. There was so much pressure in that charged statement. Live for each other? She had trouble with the idea of living for one!
Glancing her eyes to the pile of hands, apprehension flooded her stomach. The girl settled for just the touch of her fingertips; nothing more, nothing less.
"I'll... I'll t-try..." was the best she could manage and, with that, her hand shot back to the center of her being.
She felt like she had did something wrong. Very, very wrong.

Alec glanced up from his plate of food and conversation with Cyril, in turn peering at Preacher thoughtful-like upon hearing his words. "Nope. But --- You can promise it too. I know I did." He added speaking up just enough to be heard. "Life might be uncertain, but you can promise to try your damnest to stay alive no?" He smiled gently at the other boy. At Tala looking shy, the boy flashed her a gentle smile trying to be reassuring. He hadn't jumped up yet, but he also spoke up to her "Maybe, Instead, we don't live for each other..but by each other. Each day at a time." He tapped a finger to his chin humming some.

Having found a table far enough away, Shun went and finally grabbed himself a plate of food before seating himself. Once he was situated, he went ahead and began eating in silence. His gaze did wander over towards the group he had walked past, noting that Preacher had at least declined the promise. He might have been somewhat disappointed if he went along with that. Of the group, he figured Preacher would know best of the realities of their mortality. Well. Him and the trainee. He'd think those in the military would know better.
As he looked towards the others, he just scoffed lightly and returned to minding his meal.

The kid was as stubborn as himself. He stared at the ale himself. The small huff from the red head told him he didn't like being called that. It didn't really matter to him though. He was still a kid in his eyes even though Cyril was only a few years older than him. "Ahahaha" he laughed as he watched the boy shove food in his mouth. "Looks like you're all grown up now." He said sarcastically to Alec but not offensively. He listened in on his conversation with preacher as well.

Lillian wandered near the food area. While this week had been a disaster for her, she couldn't help but feel the need to get something out of it. If it had to be food then she would take it. Besides, she just had to endure just.. one more day. One more day and then her father could not complain if she just stayed home. The event would be over, and she could go back to her work. His attempt at magically getting her to make friends would fail once more.

Axel thought the promise was silly, and almost certainly not one he could keep, but he promised anyways to be nice to Zin, who might very well be eaten by a Titan some day. And Tala, who looked positively petrified. But silly as the promise was, Preacher's reaction disturbed him. Preacher looked shaken and miserable. It was a harmless promise, wasn't it? Axel remembered that hacking cough. Axel broke his own promise to himself and spoke quietly to Preacher. "You shouldn't drink ale, not if you're sick," he said softly. "You should get some rest."Axel felt he knew Preacher rather well by now, and waited patiently for the ale to be dumped over his head. ((omg Zin I am sosorry for postskipping you, I might have to go in a few mins tho OTL))
