So he didn't mind when his mother became so frazzled that she told him to milk the cows two days in a row. Or when she gave him a list of things to buy, and ended up forgetting half of it, and sending him to the store a second time. He never minded any of it, because repetition did not bore him. It was only when his father became so sick, that his mother never left his side. She couldn't tell him what to do - that was when he minded.
He was lost, without the constant push towards a destination. Every day, he woke up before the break of dawn, sat on his bed, and waited for someone to tell him what to do.
Eventually, someone came, and told him it was time to put on his Sunday suit.

My character's username: HULKWICH My character's level: 18 Character's HP: 30/30 Character's Job Class: Mad Hatter Current party: Current Guild: Penumbra Location: Small IC description of character: Other than a pair of white angel wings, this particular mad hatter looks remarkably normal at first glance. Blonde, spiky hair and a looming tall build - but to look in his eyes is to understand why he'd been picked for his job class. Blood red, with dark circles under them, and one was dilated fully and usually twitching. Mad was a good way to put it. Character journal:[ Battle Entry Log ]

They told him to stand up in front of the grave and sing. They knew he could, because he was in the Church choir, and they always gave him solos. They told him to sing, but refused to tell him what to sing. They refused to give him the steps to fulfill correctly.
So he sang, and it was completely inappropriate, save for the fact that it was raining that day. The song itself made no sense for a funeral, and all it did was make his mother cry harder.
But at least the twins smiled.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."
Lady let out an aggrivated huff as she continued to riffle through her room. Where the hell were they. Like seriously. She put them in the same spot, every single day. How in the world could she loose them if they got put in the same spot.
She couldn't believe she lost her keys. Again
This is why she had started putting them on the same spot to begin with! Because she had already lost them once. Uuuugh. This royally sucked. Where could they be!

It was time for Blightning to get ready to go to Amityville. That meant he had to pack all of his most important things into the suitcases and head off. He had thought he had done so, but when he got to Amityville, and to his dorm room in particular, he couldn't find something.
In fact, he couldn't find a large something.
Where had his suitcase gone? He had two of them, but he did not have the third. Where had the third gone? Had he forgotten it on the train? Blightning bit his lip, looking down at what he had. If he was him, where would he have left his suitcase? That didn't help anything. Maybe he should trace his steps? That would help.
Blightning moved to the hallway, leaving his other suitcases just inside the room.
If he was lucky, he wouldn't lose those due to theft.

Blightning had a goal in mind. He was going to get himself farther than he had ever gone. That day, he set his mind on the eye scream parlor towards the outside of the city. He had been there before, but he had never gone there from a run. It was a further distance than he was used to, and he was ready to tackle it.
So he did.
The run was thrilling. It put a rush into his system, especially as he went faster and faster. Every moment, he felt like he was soaring into the air, higher and higher as he made his way up the hills and through the paths he needed to take.
He took a roundabout route, even, running up a few side paths and through an alleyway...
Before he finally reached it.
The feeling was rewarding, having made it, even if Blightning felt like he was out of breath. What would be even more rewarding would be some eye scream..

Whenever he had the dream, his heart was pounding at the end.
No, not dream, nightmare.
Being left behind terrified him. Being unable to move terrified him. Being unable to move quickly terrified him. Being stuck in a place where he could not move at all terrified him. The idea that time could tick down, that it could slow down, that everything could be so...
Alone.
Blightning didn't like the idea of being alone.

He didn't like it. The Fog. The deepening fog that clung to his skin, to his every pour, it felt sticky under his cloths. He was getting used to it, the way his tail shined through the water glinting off of it and playing tricks on him, making him think there was fire where there was not.
It was nothing like the endless smoke from home.
He did not like it. He slunk along, eyeing the skies wondering if it would turn to more than fog soon.
It seemed particularly deep today. Coiling it's self around his ankles, calling to him, embracing him.
He shook it off, he did not like it. With a small bought of fire he dried himself off, but it was only temporary. Soon the fog creeped up to him again.
He did not want to fly, not with out being able to see that branch before he ran into it, no, he would simply walk and get home as quick as he could.

"What do you mean why? I just told you why!" Gwen groaned, rubbing at her face. Some little kid had walked up to her and started her asking all kinds of questions. And in typical little kid fashion, every time Lady had finished explaining whatever it was, the little kid said-
"Why?"
"I don't know!" She cried, holding her head.
"Why?"
"Why what?
"Why don't you know why?"
Wisdom was over rated, now she knew-
"Why?"

The lake held his memories, reflecting back them. But why were they all painful? Why did he keep coming back? For the cards of course. Of course.
But why did he hold on to such painful memories? Why didn't he leave them behind when he had the chance? He could have. He should have. He could have left the heaviness in his heart.

Vaith jumped into the lake, deciding that if this was another memory thing, he just had to deal with it. Everything then surrounded him, in a siwrl of visions, forcing Vaith to dizzily climb his way out of the lake.
"Damn.."
It swirled back to the days where he was sparring. With Ikaite. With her. His scary big sister. He was kicking a**-- Ikaite and Vaira, kicking his a**, as usual.
"Oh man, you guys.. Give me a break!"
They all started laughing next to Vaith, solidly sprawled on the ground.
Those memories hurt-- because they were the days that Vaith wanted to go back to. But if he wanted to go back.. he wouldn't have all the great stuff he had now.
It was cold outside, but it was better than inside the house where everyone was frowning and talking in whispers. Soon he was going to leave to the academy. It wasn't a happy leaving, though. Mother and Father.. Were sick of him. They hated him and didn't want him anymore. They were tired of their stupid son with all his mistakes. Deeply sad, Boi fell asleep below the stars and dreamed of a new day.

It was a normal day, nothing big or bad happening. Having gone to his job with his father, he came home and started to work on school work. Then he went to relax in a tree and talk to some of his flocklings and then.. finally sleep. Nothing special or bad, but it was relaxing to have a day that was totally normal. If every day was like this than he would be tired and bored, but at least it wouldn't be hectic anymore.

Watching as his youngest sibling stood before the altar of their home to receive their first blessing, Boi felt a wave of nostalgia. Getting the first blessing and finally having your first message carrying flight was an amazing and often times terrifying, experience. But it had been so many years for him now. Instead of being nervous as he relieved those memories, he felt a pang of nostalgia. Back then when things were much more simpler and he could be any type of Harpy. A good memory, really.
