*As the shield held back the attacks for the time being...the figure performed a little sword dance of his own...his blade changed from the cold blue into a stunning yellow*
Figure: Kuikku Hakushiken!! *with amazing speed, the figure stabbed forth time and again at Areno with his blade, each time would deliver forth a jolt of paralyzing electricity...Areno's air barrier armor would have a difficult time defending against something that left its grasp so quickly*

Or so he thought. "Suridou Taifuu!" =Keen Gale= Areno's air barrier quickly became an amalgram of wind-blades... each as sharp as a sword, but being that they were comprised of air, could cut and destroy much easier. The blade would not only be deflected... but damaged. As for Areno's Wasurenagusa no Mai, he didn't let up the relentless assault... the assault now fortified with the defensive Suridou Taifuu, the whirling wind blades covering his attacks upon the shield.

*Areno's gale would have torn the blade to shreds, if not for the fact that it was still connected to the armor, and was thus part of the armor itself...as the gales would touch the blade, they would die down and continue again as it passed...if the figure's attacks were slower, he would have been able to cause the gales to die down for longer periods of time...however, for now, his rapid electrical strikes would continue*

In that case, the blade is actually torn to shreds. Areno's Suridou Taifuu is driven by non-targeted chakra... there was no chakra present in the Keen Gale for the armor to negate.

*as his blade slowly tore itself to shreds via Areno's defense, he pulled back a bit, and with quick thumb motion, the remainder of the blade fell off and the hilt remained...he aimed it at the raging Areno, and the tip shined yellow...it shot forth a strong bolt of lightning...most likely striking Areno at such close range...*

Areno could have deflected it with his barrier, but there was no point in wasting the stamina... his second line of defense handled it famously. Sand issued forth out of his bicep and waist weights to intercept the blast, sand bursting with Areno's own chakra, keyed to his body signature.
As the figure was standing still to get some form of aim, Areno's chest exploded outwards in a storm of razor bone shards... and unexpectedly, so did Lefty, who was behind the enemy. There was no room to jump in this sand prison, and the sheer volume of bone shards would leave any living creature nothing more than few splotches of blood on the ground. This voracious assault would be just what Areno was looking for in terms of shield weakness; an attack from all directions.

*thinking fast...he went to his last resort...he muttered something inaudible to Areno and stabbed the hilt into the core of his armor...this provided some sort of extra battery pack, and the shield was online at 2x the capacity...it deflected all the shards as only quick little deflections would be needed for such small objects...*
*however...doing this would permanently attach the hilt to the armor until removed back at the tower...he would have been weaponless at the moment...but it would be short lived...*
*3 of the soldiers of the 3rd line had their axes on the ground, glowing brown...a tunnel was formed...*
*finding no way to enter the sand prison from above or the side, the 2nd figure from before did the next thing...go from below...a hand would suddenly burst forth from under the figure that was fighting Areno, and a new blade would be given to him, leaving F2 weaponless instead...and as quickly as the hand came, it went under again...back into the tunnel to return to the soldiers...*
*F1(the one fighting) then attached his new blade to his armor, and it glowed an ominous black...*
F1: this is it...Kuroenmu(Black Fog)
*F1 would first become totally invisible...and then, everything would go black as a cloud of darkness enveloped the entire area...even if Areno's Byakugan attempted to do their magic...all he would see...is darkness...he wouldn't even be able to see his clones, but he would still be able to sense them...but the figure's trace had vanished...his voice seemed to come from everywhere*
F1: this is the darkness within your heart...witness it...feel it...I shall liberate you of your sins...within one's own darkness, one can only search for the light...and let me be that light...for in this world...I am your god!
*with that last statement, The figure would appear close behind Areno, and an near-invisible black blade could be seen going for the spine...*

"Chiiro, scout ahead and tell me what is wrong."

Edge was amazed by the dispaly of power from the invading force. He couldn't tell what was going on due to not seeing Areno and he hoped his fellow comrade was ok. A new assault so soon after the last one? Could it be a new enemy? From what he could see of their style of combat and appearance it seemed they could be but he couldn't be sure until he had chance to figure out more from Areno or another Sand Ninja.

[[ ROFL. Shunketsu, without even knowing it, you just started one of my favorite scenes in Bleach, ever. Tousen, the blind Captain with a darkly twisted sense of justice and goodness versus Zaraki Kenpachi, the demon of combat. ]]
Areno chuckled. "Heart? I don't remember having a thing like that to start with..." He waited in the darkness, unseeing in the familiar blackness he was born into this life with.
The very exact instant the tip of the blade touched his skin, he moved inches to the side even as the weapon drove superficially through his flesh and out again as he moved. Areno smiled deeply and awaited the next attack.

*As the Mizukage struck at the soldier, he would come up against the same barrier that Areno came up against, but instead of repelling him, it held him stuck to the barrier...the soldier's armor shined yellow and an electric current would run through the barrier, along with his ice armor...shocking him in his non-watery state...it then repelled the Mizukage upwards and backwards...*
*the soldier's axe tip shined red and he slammed the earth...a giant pillar of fire exploded from underneath the airborned Mizukage, enveloping him in scorching flames...*

*Areno would feel nothing as he sidestepped the figure...the blade would seem to go through him, but no scar was left behind...the figure then outright vanished...but, the cut was now felt along his throat, as if the blade had sliced his throat and not the flesh on his back...*

::Motoko was overwhelmed with joy to see the Kazekage, basically in one piece, and she bowed deeply.::
"Kazekage-sama, what happened to Tate? He didn't get Kotoro did he? Are you all right?"
::She was so happy she was almost in tears, but she didn't show it to anyone else. I'm so glad that my best friend is safe...::

Areno stood still, ignoring what seemed like pain at his throat. He knew it wasn't real, of course... Areno knew what true pain felt like... and he stood, all the while grinning.
I can't see, I can't hear, I can't smell... and I was never very good at sensing Chakra, anyway. So then... And he knew what he had to do.
arrow SAWA: With the =Kazekage=
The SAWA squad waited in a hemisphere around Shiko, kneeling with one fist before them, planted into the sand. They continued to wait upon her, to escort her back to her Tower where medic-nin were waiting.
They also kept an eye on Motoko, to make sure she was holding up alright, as well. It had been a week since Tate's invasion, and those with prior medic-nin experience weren't sure how well her wounds were healed.
"Kazekage-sama, are you in any immediate need of medical attention?"
