They came again and she sliced through them like a knife through butter and she blinked as they disappeared. She shrugged and placed the weapon away again, walking the rest of the way to the top of the cliffs. The air was colder but she took in a deep, relaxing breath and looked out over the cliffs.
Relaxation moved through her and she felt something else, a surge through her body and she glanced around. "Huh." She took another long moment to stare at the beauty off of the cliff side and further off into the mist which she continually got herself lost in. Swelling happily she turned, feeling energized and moved on to the next place that drew her fancy.

At the sight of the bridge, Etyam cracked his nonexistent knuckles and broke into a wide grin. This was more like it.
He ran across the bridge in a mad dash, the wood giving way just moments after he passed. He landed on the other side, laughing.

Raumias was back to the cliffs, again. She remembered the harpies that had waited her at the top, but she wasn't particularly afraid. Perhaps now would be a good time to see if her target practice was any good, with these new pistols.
Perhaps because she'd been by this way before, and managed the climb just fine, she was already up at the next bit before she even had to really think about the climb at all.
She took a brief pause to stretch, relax, and enjoy the fact she'd made it this far again; last time she'd been in such a hurry. She sat on the side, dangling her legs off, thinking.
Etyam was quick on the draw. The first wave of shrieking, bird-like creatures hardly slowed him down. He was getting to be a pro with these things.

Raumias was clearly feeling a little insane. She shut her eyes, when she approached the bridge, and took her first step on, feeling the strain underneath her.
Instead of crossing with any thought to her safety, she began to traverse the bridge by way of doing very slow and purposeful bridges over and over again: hands down, flip herself over, onto her feet, straighten and do it again. Over, and over again.
The longer she did it, the faster she went, until she'd far surpassed her previous trip across the bridge.

She opened her eyes when she reached the Harpies' nest. A soft smile lit the corner of her mouth, and she took her pistols out.
Target practice!
Sweet Goddess of Pain, this was not going well.
Raum took their hits, and winced from the pain. She needed to get them cornered again.
Another wave, another round of bullets fired wildly into the air. They seemed more prepared this time than last, but only by a little.

By the time he'd nearly crested the mountain, he was starting to treat the flying things as target practice more than even a threat. Arrogance really was going to be the death of him... just not here.
Etyam surveyed the top of the cliff, feeling a surge of power. His efforts had not gone unrecognized.

PAIN WOULD RAIN DOWN from the heavens!!! Harpie-slaying bullets, go.
Who was she kidding? She couldn't actually rain bullets down. Firing up into the sky just made her afraid an old bullet was later going to hit her in the eye when she went back to actually fighting, forgetting where she was and what she was doing.
Meanwhile, lots of harpies hit her. Ow.

Ok, it was serious time now. Raum stared down the pistols and fired first one, then the other. She managed to shoot a few Harpies down, wounding them and walking by the bodies before the curled away into mist.

Come to think of it, she was wielding weapons which could fire, fighting enemies who relied on their wings.
Idea.
Raum fired several rounds into their wings, bullet after bullet, just aiming at whatever she could hit to see how much damage she could do, pulling them out of the air.

Perhaps if she refined her shots, she thought as she reloaded, she could aim for important joints and tendons (or where they might be) and thus maximize her damage output while minimizing random shots that could ruin everything.
Well, her aim wasn't as good as she might have hoped, or else they were not as vulnerable as she equally may have hoped.
