And Wizard World Philly has wrapped! Had a great time, sold a lot of dresses and husband's game did well! He also got me a HUGE surprise... He'd found the Manny and Iris Sdcc set at a booth and haggle out a vendor's discount, haha. I am so happy right now I'm dizzy. I had just given up on ever getting them and he goes and does this... Lol
Anyway I'll be wrapping up Marceline's story tonight once the car is unloaded and I'll work on her doll during the guild break!

Also for funsies, if anyone lives in IL and/or is going to Anime Central in Chicago this weekend, I'll be there~! I will only be on Sunday, however, since I'm on a budget. Sunday, I will be cosplaying young Mithos Yggdrasill from Tales of Symphonia. I have two work-in-progress costumes which are: Pixie from Shin Megami Tensei and River Styx from MH Haunted. Either one or the other will be ready by the time Anime Midwest comes along.

I was in Chicago a couple weeks ago for C2E2, but probably won't be back for a while, unfortunately.
Keep us updated on your costumes, that sound like a lot of fun! I haven't had an opportunity to cosplay in a couple years.

Awwh! If only I had pixie done in time(ive been procrastinating on her so much) I would have been to C2E2 with my friend... Unfortunately, did not make it.
And yeah, cosplay is... an expensive and laborous hobby. And in my case, sometimes even bloody. o-o I make like super uber giant wings (like gaia backwing quality) but oh my gods... I break like, 8+ needles while using the machine to sew my wings... One time I even sewed though my thumb. DX<< My costumes are literally made through blood, sweat, and tears... It's so worth it when it's finished, though.
My cosplay for Mithos has already been completed since last year but his wings are a very good example... Huge, extending, 16-piece wing set... I wouldn't even put a price on it. I had help from two friends to make wings that looked just like that Mithos in that pic... glitter... And added some white fabric spray for a feather-like effect to touch it up... As for Pixie, her wings are an 8-piece that i am doing on my own... Out of fear of getting my thumb sewn in though, I'm hand-sewing it... ;u;

I'm back from my trip and it was amazing! AMAZING. I played with owls. I had owls ON MY ARMS. Sitting there, hooting, flapping their wings, hooting. ON MY ARMS.
I saw a giant mech go by on a flatbed truck when my friend and I went to Ginza for drinks. Japan is amazing. So is the food.
Anyway, welcome to the guild, new member! Your cosplay looks great. biggrin
