Neppis couldn't help but feel all the more amused. "Me..? Teach in this state..? Heaven's no..! I'd be too sober to teach anything.." Neppis raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. "I honestly couldn't care less if Damien showed up or not--as long as there's booze, I don't care who's welcoming me, Neppy.."

That was a new one.
Neppis grinned. He was going to like her quite a bit.
"And I doubt I'll be pleasant if I'm not enjoying myself... I looked at the rule book.. I didn't see any booze restrictions for teacherrrs.." He didn't react to her touching him, the amused look never leaving his face. "My luggage... it was sent ahead of me three days ago..You probably werrr told, but Call me Rena.." She shouldn't have bothered to introduce herself; he already knew; at least all the basics anyway. Rena Wards, part-time instructor, Angel; and apparently likes alcohol very much. "Pleasure to meet, Rena." He drawled. "Hope you don't mind, but you're gonna have to get used to seeing me on a daily basis; at least for the first month. Get you settled in an' all that." Or possibly longer; he wasn't sure how much she would be able to soak up in her constantly intoxicated state. A source of entertainment for a month or more; lovely. "Damien's orders and all that. Should we head along inside? Excellent." Without waiting for an answer, the Blessed Demon spun on his heel, leading her towards the exit of the rooftop.

Cole's heart thudded steadily in her chest, finally slowing after its ordeal. In order to keep from blacking out, she focused on the presence of Anaru in the room, which reminded her of steam from boiling water. She would not look at him, but let him apologize to the top of her head. Once they had left, Kin's mimed handkerchief glowed fuzzily in her field of vision and her mind began to wander so she hardly noticed his touch anymore. I was the perfect assassin," she thought, Always one step ahead of everyone, all the way to the end. Even my own father couldn't stop me. And then I come here and I'm nothing.... He...Damien used my gifts against me. Her eyes widened as the realization hit her. He had known somehow that exposing his terrible aura would overwhelm her mind, and that she wouldn't be able to fight back. Now that the danger was gone, her senses had relaxed into their usual state. Even then she could still feel them hissing with energy, ready to flare again at the slightest provocation.
Back home, the more erratic she had let herself get, the better she did her job. Instincts were all she needed to survive, and more importantly, to kill. The terrified faces of the victims had made her laugh. Damien hadn't laughed when he scared her. He had threatened her so calmly--like catching a butterfly between his fingers and debating whether or not to rip its wings off. She didn't like him having that power over her, and she intended to change it.
She suddenly became aware of Kin's touch again and caught his wrist gently, making him stop. Only now did she see that Royce had left the room, but she chose to ignore that fact, instead crossing her legs to sit on the floor. As the nurse came forward ready to give some sickly sweet lecture about what Cole 'needed', the fox girl snapped her jaw loudly and spoke through gritted teeth, "I don't do well with touching. Cup of tea would be lovely. No cream. Lots of honey or plain sugar, whichever you find first." Cole's golden eyes stared expectantly until the woman's frown revealed her inner defeat and she scurried off to fulfill the request.
The instant she and the Kin were alone, she released Kin's hand and leaned back on her arms, seeming completely exhausted, "It hurt..." she said, placing a hand over her chest and breathing slowly as though she might cause herself a heart attack, "It always hurts when I resist the change. That's why I never try to stop it."
Jade froze comically, watching fascinated as Aura made it through the doorway without bumping so much as a hinge. The blind girl then turned back, big cloudy eyes pointed towards them as she spoke. It was creeping Jade out how melancholy her tone was. "Well hey," she chirped, trying to lighten the mood, "We'll figure it out together, eh?" Juggling all her bags so they were tucked precariously on her back, she swept Aura up in a surprisingly gentle hug for someone as strong as she was, "It's great to meet ya!" she giggled.
She turned back to Euca briefly, "And now for my favorite part. You two go ahead and lead. I'll be right behind you." She pointed to the sky, her eyes sparkling, then turned the action into a little two-finger salute. Without another second to lose, she snapped her wings out hard to their full, and rather impressive length, bending her knees in a way that looked practiced. Then with a jump and a hard down-swipe, she was airborne. She closed her eyes until she could practically taste the altitude and the thin clouds clinging to her shockingly green hair. One of her feathery braids had caught in her bag as she had ascended, and Jade struggled to free it while flapping. Oh well, she thought, snapping her wings in and resorting to freefall. Maybe gravity would help? She torpedoed down through the clouds until she was visible to the ground again, tugging carefully at her hair so as not to rip it. When she'd finally released it and extended her wings to glide, she couldn't have been more than five feet from the ground. She would have shown off more and gone less than a foot above the ground, but the weight of her bags caused them to hang lower than her body. Instead, she cocked herself into an upward spin and landed on one foot on the roof of the house, barely balanced. "Whenever you're ready!" she called down, red-faced with laughter.
Caligon raised an eyebrow at her wiping her eyes. Was she crying too? Oh great. Just freaking great, as if anything else could possibly go wrong in this moment. Not even a week into the little break before school started and everything already spiraled out of control. Fantastic on his part, he probably earned an award for biggest emotional numbskull. He dropped the eyebrow back down when she mentioned her new arrival to the island. "Right. I knew that. Anyway, I guess I can lead the way." He chuckled when he realized after all that emotion drama, he was hungrier than he has been in forever. "Alright, let's see if this can actually move." He tilted his hand as if commanding the thing to accelerate, which it did. He smiled at his achievement, and began to float away, toward his favorite restaurant.

Rose heard the voice and turned to it, seeing who had replied to her comment. Seeing a short blonde boy with big round glasses on his face. "Oh you're new too? Maybe we can try to figure out this place together nya." Well she took a little sympathy for a lost kid, some relative of his or a guardian could be somewhere looking for him.

Kin looked up at the masked, ghostly figure, and nodded softly. As everyone began to file out of the room Kin's attention stayed on Cole. Cole was quiet, and looked really out of it, so Kin did his best to nurture her. However he froze when she suddenly reached up and caught hold of his wrist. It came out of no where and it spooked Kin so bad he was trembling, but he didn't try to squirm away, he had learned that that only made Cole more upset when he did that. Kin glanced up at the woman and shivered a bit at Cole's response, she could be very, very scary when she wanted to be. His ears drooped down a bit, wondering how long she'd hold onto his wrist, though he was careful not to ask or fidget to much. Cole wasn't in the most stable of moods, so he didn't want to give her any more reasons to be upset. When she finally released him he sat back down into a cross legged position and looked over at Cole. She looked like a wreck honestly, a pretty wreck, but a wreck non the less. His ears perked up and he tilted his head a bit when she said it had hurt. He imagined she was refering to being lifted up and dropped back down by Damien, but she was actually talking about changing into her fox form. Unsure what to say Kin leaned forward a bit and placed his hand over hers.
I know it must hurt right now, but I'm sure it'll get better. Is there anything I can do to help?

Euca looked to Aura as she walked out of the door with seemingly little effort. Hell, he almost thought that she had been lying with how she acted right now, saying she had a disability and yet knowing exactly where the entrance was. Maybe the -tiniest- bit questionable... though I've only ever seen the blind guys in movies, so I guess it's possible. The thought didn't stay for too long, all thanks to a certain winged marvel named Jade. As she took off into the skies, the boy stared up into the sky as she soon turned into a speck. Figuring Auras predicament left her unable to grasp the situation like before, he decided to transcript. "*sigh* Okay, I'll let you know what's going on: Jade, an angel... or half bird- I don't know. She took off into the air very quickly... and nooooow, she's coming down very quickly." He noticed her wings were tucked in, her hands holdng something on her head. He thought she was falling due to some mistake, like her hair tangling on her wing or something, but she looked too calm and there was an absolute lack of screaming. When she plummeted ever closer, he took a step up and realised there wasn't anything he could really do except hope and pray. Then, right before Jade hit the ground, her wings extended and she glided just above the ground, barely 1 and 1/2 meters above the concrete. The gust of wind almost toppled him over, and he grabbed Aura to make sure she didn't fall over from the sudden swooping wind. It was literally the cliffhanger moment you see in films where you can't help but hold your breath. After he realised she was alright, he let Aura go and re-adjusted himself. "*ahem* Jade's fine. She untangled her hair and caught herself before she hit the ground." When the parakeet of a girl, in a whirl of luaghter, said that she was ready to go, Euca couldn't help but be reminded of Renee in the Hyperactivity department. "Same girl, just with green hair, wings and up-paced speech... just great. Sure thing. I guess the pathway's to your left, Aura. When you're ready."

Rena hiccupped a soft giggle. "The torture is all mine.." She didn't seem offended, but it seemed she took his 'pleasure to meet' drawl as though he could be doing better things and such phrases were mainly formalities--then again, she could have been too drunk to take it any other way. At least she was amused by it. "If I didnn't knnnow betterrr. I'd thinnk you were trying to get close to me--using the headmaster's orders." The last bit of her sentence was clearly less slurred. Though her tone was clearly a drunken tease."From what I heard, angels and demons don't mix well--which is why this school exists. To keep all three races from tearing each other to extinction. Opening the minds of the youth..." Rena clearly had done her homework. She patted him on the back once again as they walked. "This drink you gave me, took a bit to get used to.. I like it!"

"Sounds a bit amusing.." Aura said after Euca's first verbal transcript of what was going on. The flapping sounds were quite unique as Aura had never heard a bird flap with wings on quite the scale of the size of a human, therefor Jade's flapping was rather unique. The thought suddenly left her as Euca suddenly grabbed her in the wind. For a brief moment, Aura's hair seemed to turn back to normal as her face turned bright red, and the look on her face was rather surprised from the suddenness. Then as quickly as her hair turned back to normal, the pink tints seemed to just as quick return, though she looked a bit more annoyed and flustered.. She took a deep breath and stepped to her left. Took a few more steps and.. SMACK! Although she seemed to walk effortlessly, the lack of sight kept her from forseeing the pole in front of her. "Ack.."
Renee watched as the two gave their apologies, ready to help up any of them if they needed, then... they started talking gibberish. With each word spoken, she was left completely and utterly confused, like a child being taught the scientific version of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. She couldn't help but stare, subconsciously blinking perfectly every second in an attempt to make out what they were saying. ... umm, cruel joke maybe? Inside slang? This is confusing the hell out of me... maybe it's- No! It's gotta be some other language, that's it. Deciding that this was her conclusion, she sat there until they were done speaking. Before the blonde girl to-be-named[to her knowledge] could speak, Renee cleared her throat and raised her hand. "Err, hi. My name's Renee, too. Ahh, could I get a translation please? My whatever-non-English-tongue-you-were-speaking isn't all that good." She let out a nervous laugh as she rubbed her neck with her free hand, still unbeknownst to -anything- that the two exchanged between eachother.
Euca watched Aura turn as soon as he said which Direction to go, then start on her path towards a solid pole. "Err, Aura? Maybe turn just a little-" As soon as the solid thump occurred, the boy winced at the metallic sound as her head bounced off. Maybe letting her -totally- lead was a bad idea... "Alright, let me look." He grabbed her shoulder gently and looked at the bump, not touching or going near the affected area. She seemed fine, so he shrugged it off. "Okay, you seem fine. Let's get going." He gently held her hand and motioned to Jade to follow. "So, which part of the world are you from, if you two don't mind me asking? " His voice was a bit raised so Jade could hear, but he didn't yell so Aura would recieve a shrill in her ears.
As Calligon began to hover above the ground, Karin looked at him curiously, wondering why he looked a little new to this magic. "Umm, why do I get the feeling this is the first time you've used something like this? Should I be worried?" Although she sounded worried, her body language and face all screamed sarcasm: She knew Cal good enough to know that almost all of these spells he creates were based off of plenty of research. However, the name he gave it wasn't exactly the most fitting. As he took off, she forced her wings down and followed him steadilly. She stayed quiet for a moment, and banged her fist into her hand. "I think the spell needs a new name, though... Quadra Cocere? That means 'four suns' in the original codex's. Oh, what about Superus Infernus or "Greatest Hell"? That sounds pretty badass."
|-Out Of Comission: Alright, boss is making not only me, but everyone else work total overtime until we get these orders filled. On top of that, because of the extra work-load, the machinery I work on is breaking down due to the immense stress it's put under. All of this meaning stress levels are at their peak for me, since it was hard enough getting any inspiration as it was with what I had on my plate already. Please bear with me here, as I'm trying not to lose my head over this s**t. And further apologies if the replies aren't up to scratch for the long wait...-|

Cole shook her head, and tucked her knees underneath her in a kneeling position. Her eyes steadily glazed over as her mind began to wander. The ring on her finger felt too tight. Her blouse itched, her head throbbed. She hated it. She hated being so impulsive, so out of control, and practically a danger to everyone she meet. That was why... "That's why I said yes to him," she blurted, her face flushing. Too late to turn back now. "I said yes to Luca because he argued with me. He said no to me, he fought me without fear...and he kept me sane." Cole's eyes snapped to life again as she came to terms with it, "He kept me from losing my temper...he helped me control it." The emotion in her voice was evident, and it cracked on the last notes of her out-loud thoughts. Suddenly, she exploded again, but only in her voice. She didn't move from the spot where she sat, but her volume had reached yelling, "This place is so bloody flawed! If they want me to control myself, then they should teach me how, not punch me in the throat and expect me to know what I'm doing wrong!" At the end of her rather accurate rant, Cole's frustration became physical once more, and she punched the floor with such a rage that it created a sizable dent. She breathed heavily and shakily, as though she were about to cry, though her eyes remained dry. With her fist still white-knuckled on the flooring, she managed to choke out, "Mon père a fait le même, et regardez-moi maintenant... I'm such a monster..."
Jade fluttered so she was riding the wind currents just above the pair's head, unable to stop smiling. She loved flying almost as much as she loved meeting new people, and these two were the oddest people she had met so far. Without looking, she called down to Euca, "Well, I'm told I was born in Brazil, but I've never really stayed in the same place for long. You could say I'm from everywhere." She chuckled, expecting the same confused response as everyone who had heard her say it. "No parents that I know of. I was sent over to the U.S. and lived all over--Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama, Colorado, Arizona, Washington..." she frowned, pausing for a moment, "Or was it Washington then Arizona? No! No, because the last thing I did before I left was fly into White House airspace by mistake and scare the crap out of their sensors. Anyway, I got bored of traveling, and people kept finding out what I was, so I came here!"

Kin's drooped his shoulders as Cole shook her head and simply stared at the floor for a while. He had no idea what to do, so he just silently sat there watching her with a bit of worry in his eyes. Kin hated the silence, he allways did, and the worse part was he couldn't do anything to break it himself. However when the silence was finally broken it wasn't really much of an improvement. Kin cocked his head to the side in confusion as she started talking about someone...Luca?...not anyone Kin knew obviously. Still from the way she talked this person sounded important. Kin tensed when Cole suddenly started yelling, shouting about how the school was flawed. Obviously Kin agreed with this sentiment whole heartedly, but he was to frightened by her sudden outburst to cheer her on. When she suddenly punched the floor so hard it dented Kin quickly scooted away until his back was against the wall, which was the only thing keeping him from retreating further. Kin started trembling once more, his gaze transfixed on Cole, her expression not matching the pace of her breath. Then she spoke in what might as well have been gibberish from Kin's perspective, though he did pick up the last bit. "I'm such a monster". Quickly, with a shakey hand, Kin scribbled down on his note pad and slid it over to her.

It read, though the fact Kin remained cowering against the wall made it clear that even he wasn't so sure at this point.

Vincent nodded as the girl explained her situation, that she was trying to find the human area, and having gotten separated from her sibling. However the girl had started to fire off so fast that even Vincent was having a hard time following, and if he couldn't follow he knew Renee would be hopelessly lost, heck she had a hard enough time getting through normal conversations. "I'm sorry, I know you prefer German, but I'm not able to keep up a conversation that fast, plus going by how shutter eyed Renee is I don't think she can understand you at all" he said with a small chuckle. When the girl offered her hand Vincent took it and used it to pull himself off the ground before shaking. "Its a pleasure to meet you Nadia, I'm Vincent Ross" he said, taking off his cap to tip it to her and bowing his head slightly "and I just so happen to be a detective, so I may be able to help you look for your sibling" he told her, offering up his services. When Renee spoke up with her own introduction and asked for a translation Vincent smirked and stepped aside, giving Nadia the honors.

"Yeah, I would've married 'im," Cole said as an afterthought. She clapped a hand on the notepad as it slid across the floor and read quickly, her eyes snapping up to glare at Kin underneath her lids, "How confident are you in that?" she growled, pushing the pad back to him with the same amount of force. "Look at you, Kin. You are actually cowering in fear right now. What would you do if I attacked you? ...Would you stop me?" She hadn't meant for the question to come out that way, and it surprised her that she'd even asked, but all of a sudden she was curious. She had seen Kin react violently when she was in danger, but what if she was the danger? She always had been, her whole life. She had always blamed her lifestyle for not being able to let people in, but what if the damage had permanently isolated her? Fearing Kin's answer, she stood up slowly, her muscles tensing. "And don't lie to me," she said through gritted teeth, her glistening eyes never leaving his, "I know you're afraid. I can feel it bleeding off you all the time."

He flinched back when she growled at him and slid his note pad back over. His trembling increased as she continued to growl at him, even going so far as to imply she would hurt him. With a shaky hand he reached down for his note pad and drew across it after she asked if he would stop her.

he admitted, it wasn't even a matter of whether or not he'd even try, as far as Kin was concerned if Cole wanted to hurt him it was going to happen no matter what he tried to do. He had been convinced on that since the first time she had transformed and pounced on him. She was to fast for him to outrun, to strong for him to shake off, and he didn't think he'd be able to bring himself to mime a weapon to attack her with. Ofcourse Kin had been convinced Cole wouldn't want to hurt him...that was until she started talking like this. When Cole rose to her feat his heart skipped a beat a little, worried she though he was lying, that she'd try to test whether or not he'd defend himself...or maybe she did just want to hurt him from the beginning. The way her teeth where clenched and her eyes locked on his was definitely predatory. When she said she knew he was afraid, he closed his eyes and nodded, no use trying to hide it at this point. However taking in a deep breath he summoned up what courage he did have and rose up to his feet as well.
you're right. You do scare me sometimes Cole....but that doesn't matter. Because your still you, even if you are scary sometimes. I may get frightened, and I may run away. But I promise to atleast come back when I do
he wrote, before discarding the note pad to the side and walking up to her, clearly still intimidated, but powering through it despite that. He looked her straight in the eyes, and without an instance of hesitation he.....smiled.

(( QUESTION FOR EVERYBODY: Is anyone thinking of ending this day any time soon?? Cause as long as we've been posting, I still haven't heard anything about nighttime or sleep. Just curious! Cole's snarl remained, and as Kin approached with a sweet little grin, Cole snatched a fistful of the front of his shirt. Not enough to hurt at all, but enough to startle him. She couldn't take it anymore. She opened her mouth to say something fiery, but the longer she watched his teeth rattle and his big round eyes stare trustingly into hers, she found she couldn't. Her head was swimming, and she had exhausted herself with the strain of these instantaneous mood swings. "You're...you're such a..." she frowned, searching for the word, "A puppy." Not used to being shorter than her peers, she was grateful that her forehead didn't hit the deer boy's chin as she dropped it into his chest. Her fingers were still entwined firmly in his collar, but now it was evident that she was actually anchoring herself so as not to topple over. The intimidating way in which she stood up had been a total bluff.
She didn't know how to feel, nor did she know what she had been expecting. All she knew was that she honestly and truly did not want to scare him away. For once, she decided in her head, I've got a legitimate reason to control myself. Not some wild romance, or a plot to infiltrate a criminal war zone...just this kid. I'm going to do it for this positively mental boy."Kin?" she murmured, feeling hideously vulnerable even though she appeared flat-faced, "Take me home..."
