Xiu had taken the best jackdamn pictures ever.
She hoped no one would mind (what was the chance of that?), but she had snapped quite a few pictures while everyone was dancing. The little Baku especially took a lot of pictures of the students who were thrusting their hips like desperate--
--wait, no, she wasn't going to finish that sentence. Coughing, she quickly shook her head to rid herself of the thought.
Either way, she had managed to grab quite a few shots of the dancers, and was particularly amused when she found that Mitsu's date had decided to take part, and then even Mitsu herself. Needless to say, she saved these memories in photo-format, giggling to herself all the while. She thought the other ghoul was an absolutely adorable dancer, and it was quite a surprise to see her stony-faced date take part as well.
As for what she was going to do with these pictures...well, who knows? Maybe she could send everyone she knew copies, or submit them to the school yearbook if Amityville had such a thing.
Seeing as everything began to slow down and relax again, she took this chance to grab a drink, picking one up for Vaith as well. Returning to his side, she offered it to him before flopping down on the nearest chair. "That dance earlier tired me out more than I thought it would!" Indeed, she already looked a little tired, but there was a big grin on her face, "It was fun though! Thank you for dragging me in. I didn't know you could dance like that!"

"I... I'm not very good with this... Thing," Her shoulders slumped as she hugged Mac even closer, her eyes closed as she laid her head on his chest; her voice was soft in an attempt to hide the fact that her voice was choking up, "If you can't tell, I seem to run a lot from my problems..." She paused, inhaling deeply as she looked up again, holding his gaze, a blush creeping across her cheeks, "N-not anymore though... I..."
She paused, eyes tearing up, "I didn't mean to... It's just that... Mot makes me laugh a lot, and... I guess I wasn't really thinking straight..." It was a bad, bad excuse, and she knows it. However, since they were on the subject, she decided to talk about something else she had been running away from, "It was a kiss on the cheek. You took my first kiss, and it was something really really important to me."
Another pause followed as her blush deepened, "But you're really really really important to me too. I think... I think I just realized that running away might cause me to lose you and Ireallydon'twantthat. But when you stopped the kiss so suddenly, that look you gave me - it really cut me really deep." Immediately, she looked hurt as she recalled the look he had given her that day. Quickly, she released Mac from her hug, taking a step back as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.

"Ah - molto grazie, Jericho!" Malodore said, delighted; it could tell from the illithid's reaction that her sight was much improved. "Is there any sign of headache or eyestrain, mia cara?" it added, focusing on Riley entirely, tilting its head to one side, trying to peer at her eyes through the lenses.

Junko's hold on Nuk tightened at the mention of Shehk. Oh yes, she knew exactly where Shehk was. And why she wasn't here. Junko released Nuk, patting his shoulders and giving a tiny little nod. Yeah, she'd seen her. "Yes I've...um..." She scratched at her cheek and stepped out of Nuk's hug, turning to Christof with an apologetic smile as she clasped her hands behind her back.
"Shehk wasn't feeling well so she went back to her room for the night. She didn't get a chance to tell you, it was kind of sudden..." Oh yes. Sudden. About as sudden as flipping a chair.
Oh, wait. Shehk had done just that.
"I'm sorry, Christof. It'd nice to hear you speak though. I don't think I've ever heard you before." She felt really bad for lying to Christof about Shehk, but she couldn't bring herself to actually tell the truth around Nuk. She loved Nuk, and she loved Shehk. Ugh. This was hard.

Looking increasingly more panicked, the hunchback's eyes darted from Junko to Nuk and back again before locking firmly on his hands twisting his tie, "Oh... er... m-m-maybe.. um... l-later I... um... I er... thorry for interrupting, thank you wery much um!" He managed quickly. Now was... not the time for conversations with the heartless skinwalker RIGHT THERE. He hadn't noticed him without his usual pelt in the dim lights at first, but finally the danger warnings in his skull had caught up with the situation at hand.
Stiffly, he turned and bolted.

Smiling when Bul hid his face to clean it, she shook her head. "Its okay, Bul. Really." Reaching over, the doll patted him lightly on the shoulder in reassurance.
Still confused over what all was happening, her gaze followed Jericho back as he slipped the glasses on over Riley's face. "Oh?" She mused, more curious now. "Her eye's are sensitive to the lighting? Huu.. I wonder how many other boils and ghouls are having similar problems?" Practically perching on her seat, she examined them a moment longer before plopping back down in her chair.
Grinning at Bul, she raised her head, staring up toward the ceiling innocently. "Keep hanging around me and you might." She could behave herself when she needed or wanted too, but it was nice to just..not care what other thought. She knew when to draw the line, however. Most of the time.

Regarding Ash with a bit of a puzzled frown, the boil looked back at his ghoulfriend as she turned to look up at him while still maintaining a grip on the skinwalker. His face falling just a little when she didn't detach herself from Nuk to seek comfort in his arms, though it was easily enough explained away as simple worry over what she had to say about.. whoever it was she'd upset. "It'll be Alr..."
He trailed off, human hand sort of hovering in the place between them as Chsristof wandered up to their group looking worried. Slightly surprised as he began to actually speak. Now since when could he talk? Not important.
Fingers curling a little uselessly, he let the futakuchi-onna step away from Nuk before reaching out to take her hand gently in his own, pulling her gently closer to him. Jealous? A bit, but it was ill placed and needless, and he wasn't about to make a big deal out of something that didn't need it. It was Prom, things were going relatively well, and they were going to have a wonderful night.

"I'm sorry, Christof. I tried to get her to stay, I really did." And she almost managed it too. Almost. She was going to let the pricolici have her space, not taking her eyes off Christof for even a moment. Not even when he looked back at Nuk again. No. She was not going to allow herself to be angry at him tonight. It wasn't...completely his fault Shehk had run off. Not completely. She might have tried to stay if not for them trying to cheer her up.
Junko fell lightly against Seiji as she was pulled to him, leaning against him and looking up at him with a little smile. She felt better now, albeit probably a little more clingy suddenly. "Hi~. Nice hair." She teased affectionately, grinning like an innocent little devil. He did have nice hair! She quite enjoyed seeing it free and longer! She squeezed his hand and hopped up on her tiptoes to give his cheek a kiss, relaxing on her feet again and giving his hand a tug. "Let's go dance. For real this time, now that all the uh...thrusting is over..." Junko chuckled and shook her head, taking a step away to lead Seiji back to the dance floor. Oh! Junko stopped and turned on her heel, reaching out with her free arm to give Nuk a quick hug around his shoulders and a familial kiss on the cheek.
"I'll see you later? We should dance together! Or...I dunno..sing? Something. Something not gambling because I suck at it." She grinned again. Oh yes, she was terrible at it yet she kept going back to it. It mocked her. It called to her. She couldn't resist the roulette wheel's siren call. Woe is Junko.
With that said, Junko turned around to look up at Seiji again. "Can we dance now? We've barely been able to all night!" She pouted a little at that, letting go of Seiji's hand so she could hug his arm and nuzzle her cheek against him.

Nuk looked up as Christof approached, listening quietly with a growing look of discontent crossed his features, expression darkening as things started to piece together. He didn't say anything to the hunchback, nor did Christof seem to have anything to say to him, although he watched as the other fled. It was only when Seiji approached, and Junko wrapped an arm around him in a quick hug before he glanced down at her, the chaste kiss barely registering, although he managed to catch her words.
"Yeah, we should," he replied noncommittally, watching her turn around to go dance. For a good few seconds, he just stood there, with no one in particular, looking around the dance floor like it had suddenly lost its luster, eyeing the flashing lights and giggling couples before tucking his head down. If he'd had a hat, he would have pulled it over his eyes a little as he moved away.
"If you'll excuse me..." he replied to no one in particular... perhaps he was merely talking to himself.
His mood had suddenly soured.

Vaith accepted the drink gratefully, having stayed in the same spot off the dancing stage. His formally clean attire was now wrinkled from all his wild movements and sweat dripped from his forehead. One of the party napkins was used to wipe his forehead, standing with forced support from the wall.
"Ugh, I am never wasting that much energy again." Vaith muttered, hoping that the raging headache would subside. With one upward lift of the cup to his mouth, Vaith had already downed half the drink that the baku had gotten him. "Of course I dragged you in. I told you I wasn't only going to let you chronicle the night." Vaith pointed out, almost tempted to dump the cool drink over his head to cool himself down.
Vaith could dance. Nobody knew why when he never seemed like he took the time to dance--- but end result, he could dance.

He got back with her drink and to be frank he looked absolutely ghostly, and Lilith wouldn't be having that. He was a demon, and that's how he should look. She accepted the drink of punch he had brought her and she smiled before taking a sip, devious thoughts already sinking in. He was taller than her, but he was slouching quite a bit now so she leaned up easily to his lips and planted a kiss, sharing her drink with him in the easiest way she knew how. Surely he'd be more than happy to accept.

Danny and Moure were late. Not like fashionably late. They were late.
It was Moure's fault, but honestly, Danny didn't mind in the least. He had lost his arm some way through, so they had spent ages searching for it. Then he had to take the time to sew it back on, another age and a half.
Still, Danny wasn't upset in the least. In fact, she was rather glad to actually spend some time with Moure before leaving. It would make the dance a whole heck of a lot less awkward. Some part of Danny didn't really ... need to go to prom just this second though. She was very lackadaisical about it all; no need to rush, its not the end of the world.
Now that they were pulling up to the doors of the gym though ... Danny wasn't feeling too confident. Something about the sounds and the sights coming from the prom floor just made her nervous. She gripped Moure's arm for extra confidence. Not in a romantic way at all. She just wanted to know that someone was there for her. Turning to him she said, "Ready Moure?" Hopefully he was feeling a tad more comfortable than she was.

Marzena had no idea why she had bothered to come to prom.
The selkie had been busy attempting to find out where exactly her doppelganger was; she was pretty sure that it was that jackdamned witch who took her hair. It was a pretty fruitless chase and Marzena had allowed herself to try out prom because school event were supposed to be fun, right?
She had been dressed in a short grey dress that ended just above her knee, adding her seal skin wrapped tightly around the dress and a white fur stole around her shoulders.
...And then she had been forced to watch boils and ghouls do idiotic humping on the dance floor. It was pretty crude, and she had wrinkled her nose in distaste. A ghoul had left a while ago, and Marzena contemplated following her. It was indeed a very tempting thought.
---
Someone had sauntered in Erebus' direction and it took a squint before the Cerberus recognized who it was. "Oh hey, it's... Nuk, right?" A skinwalker was a pretty cool monster, Erebus thought.

Riley rested her forehead against Malodore as it leaned in to peek through the lenses, and her cheeks darkened with the faintest flush of color. Just a little headache. It will leave me soon, I'm sure. I can't truly tell if the eyes have strained, but I am under no distress at the moment, so I don't think there is any cause to worry.
Even if there was, she didn't look like she would be worrying about anything right now. She sent an affectionate nudge to Jericho when his wing wrapped around them in a quick hug, and then settled against Malodore contentedly to rock together.
She wasn't really listening to the music, nor did she care if the tempo was appropriate for a slow dance. Their slow, gentle sweeps were herded by no factor but their own contentedment.

Mot made her laugh, she clearly liked the cowboil...so...
"Then why are you even here with m---" Mac's little outburst was silenced by what she had to say next. "...On the cheek?" Mac parroted, brow raising. He was pretty sure that kiss what nowhere near Mot's cheek. Hrm. Sadly he knew Lizzy wasn't a good or convincing liar, and suddenly his jealous rage earlier seemed...very unfounded. The news was shocking and relieving at the same time, and all he could do was chuckle. The chuckle turned into a laugh, as inopportune as the timing was. "R-really, all this is over a kiss on the cheek?!" She had let him go by then, and he wiped his eyes with the heel of his hand before threading his fingers through his hair, managing to get himself back in line before she got too upset over his laughing.
"I never thought I'd ever kiss you-" There was an accidental stress on that particular word. He wasn't laughing any more, but he wasn't paying attention to how insensitive that could have sounded. "-and I didn't know that was your first kiss." But he wasn't going to apologize for claiming it.
