Desu-chan, you're not hiding puppies in those teacups, are you?

With the teacup area cleared Takeo maneuvered himself over to the booth picking up a sugar cube. It was a bit more difficult to do one handed, but the Night Fury managed to do it all the same. Eying the tower he did his best to aim before flicking the sugar cube in hope of hitting the cups and knocking them over.

Unfortunately the cube missed completely...oh well.

Upon hearing some familiar faces, Astra turned around momentarily forgetting about the wheel and focused on the two figures that had approached. Aha, there was riley! She flew towards the mindflayer with every intention of saying hello, but paused. She had noticed nuk of course, but at the moment both seemed to be in conversation, and neither were looking particularly pleased.

This left the fairy rather confused as to why this was so. She couldn't think of why Riley would be upset. Except the fact that they had lost most of their matches to N.A.P.

Cautiously she approached the duo, remembering that she had not really conversed with nuk, but had heard much of him and his aggressive personality. "Um...hello...." She said in a small voice.

He noticed the change almost as soon as the name had left his lips, and he almost instantly regretted it. He'd thought that, mentioning her so casually, Riley wouldn't have even thought twice about it. He should have known better, Riley probably thought fifty times about everything anyone said, analyzed every word and extrapolated every byte of data she could from it even before the next person spoke up. If he ever thought thought he could be smoother than Riley, he had a hell of an ego, one that needed to be cut down to size drastically.

His eyebrows lifted visibly as she suddenly rounded on him, her voice like metal against metal, clearly annoyed. For a second it was out of surprise, her neutral attitude turning into one of irritation so quickly, but after a second it was just skepticism, as if he himself were annoyed she was using that attitude with him when all he'd said was his ghoulfriend's name. This was exactly what he'd meant to avoid, telling anyone. He hadn't been whiny, he'd only been moping (around her) with the exception of the last few minutes, where he'd so royally screwed up. She had no right to be annoyed with him. And yet part of him wondered if it weren't because she was concerned for him, the sound of her voice when she'd realized he wasn't playing around coming to mind. It was the only reason he didn't snarl at her, although his expression did harden a little, eyebrows furrowing, his lips almost rising over canine teeth.

It seemed, however, that fate was with him. As Astra approached, Nuk's expression smoothed over again, and he turned towards the fairy, nodding his head in her direction. "Hey, what's up?" he replied conversationally, half glancing back at the fish tank to dip his own net inside.

Except he knew Riley wasn't finished with him. He believed her when she said she would get the truth from him -- avoiding her was just inviting trouble. So as he stared, levelly, at Astra, he thought the answer to her, even his mental voice flat.

'I'm breaking up with Shehk.'

This isn't funny, the life of a bunny is at stake! What do you mean they're not alive?

Riley was already at work bashing away at bunnies when Astra answered her question - and when Nuk answered as well. Her mind was quick to respond to Astra, but before she could get much of an answer out, the mallet that was clutched in her tentacle suddenly jerked back, flung out of her grasp, and went speeding towards a hapless student several steps away. She turned and stared, wide eyed, at Nukpana.

Astra would never get an answer, or an explanation. Neither would Nuk, though he'd have an idea of why she was staring.

And staring.

And staring some more.

The clunk of the mallet on someone's head was an audible sound in the silence.

Astra's eyes went wide at the rileys reaction, and she was left with no reason or answer as to why the mindflayer had done so. Instead, she watched her give nuk such a intense stare that she had begun thinking of possible escape routes. She was very glad Riley did not have a paint ball gun, but again that make the situation worse. She looked like she wanted to tear the boils face off!

Not to mention that the entire time, Nuk had been looking at Astra as well. Her gaze went to him, then to riley, then back again. Then she repeated this

...How was nuk not cowering right now?

"O-oh...I s-s-see..." Astra stuttered to his answer. A sugar withdrawal? She wasn't sure how that would affect riley, but then she hadn't anything else to go by. "D-does riley n-need more s-sugar?"

As it was, the skinwalker probably should have been asking the same question Astra was thinking -- how was he not cowering right now? The answer was that he had more balls than that. Or he would have liked the answer to have been that, and maybe it was true, but in reality he was just too emotionally lobotomized to worry about her trying to do it for him. Even the angry table flipping wasn't catching his attention, although he had the unwise urge to laugh, her ferocity at trying to flip those tables almost comical. It was only the fact that he didn't feel like laughing that saved him at all. Instead, his face was mild, surprisingly less dark than it had been when he'd stalked over with Riley to the tables to begin with, as if pretending to Astra was making it easier.

"Probably. Riley, why don't you come over here and be social, Astra came over here to talk to us."

Ballsy indeed. He was asking to be fixed.

"So where's your friend?"

...Yes. That was a great idea. Go over to nuk and be more social. Or in astras terms, 'Hide behind the much bigger boil who appeared to not give a s**t and pretend she wasn't there until Riley calmed down enough not to want to crush things in her hands'. Her small form was hardly visible as she had sprinted behind nuk, also happy that the boil didn't appear to have any hostility towards her. She planned to keep it that way of course, the very idea of doing anything to anger him making her quake in her sandals.

At first she had not heard His question about yuki, but then she took a glance around the games to see if she could spot him. "He...should be around here...somewhere. He's a ghost boil with long black hair."

Wanting to get a better look. (and a good vantage point, The fairy jumped onto top of the fishtank, easily balancing on the thin edge of the glass. "I'm sure I saw him last playing one of the games here...Oh, Hi Junko!" She had almost missed the ghouls arrivel so she had turned to give her a hearty wave, but instead lost her balance and fell into the fishtank.

"Astra!" Junko gasped, hurrying over to the fishtank to try and catch the tiny ghoul. She missed, frowning and reaching in to pull her out herself. "Are you okay?! You should be more careful!" She frowned, plucking Astra's hat out of the water as well as she set the small ghoul on the floor, wringing the water out of the hat before offering it to her again. So these were games? This booth was so...colorful and bright. And pink. So very pink. What did this booth have to do with the school besides being run by trick or treaters?

Junko cast a small glance at Nuk and bit her lip, trying not to look back at the FEARleading booth she'd just left Shehk at. Shehk had said not to do anything for her sake but...but Shehk looked so distraught! Nuk was just stressed. That had to be it. That had to be why he was..hitting bunnies with a mallet.

What kind of sick, twisted game was that!?

She was surprised she didn't hear a greeting from Riley. Why wasn't she getting a hello? Junko watched her quietly, tilting her head and pursing her lips. Something was bothering Riley now. Ugh! What the heck was going on?! First Nuk, then Shehk, now Riley too? Who's next? Was Seiji going to start acting pissy too? Junko glowered for a moment, looking away from everyone. Hmph! If they wanted to be grumpy then...then she'd just be cheerful enough for all of them. She sighed and turned back to her friends, clapping her hands together with a huge smile on her face. "Well this looks fun! How do you play? I bet you love hitting the bunnies, huh?" Junko laughed, practically skipping over to where Nuk was to peer around him at the game. Happy, happy, happy. Had to be happy. Today was supposed to be fun.
