Flawed NPC #3 - Dr. Kaeru
Kaeru just smirked at the Nurse and would say, "Why would I need to propose when I can just use the cameras I placed in your shower..." he said with his signature cackling his grin not letting it be known weather it was a joke... or if he was serious.
"But if you want to know how to take a man apart... Then I am your man..." he said his voice growing even eerier as he looked around, "What tendons to cut to make them unable to walk... How to deafen your enemies... Unfortunately I haven't been able to get any ... 'Help' in a long while... I've just had my inventions to tinker with."

James raised an eyebrow and took a long measure of the man in front of him.

James took advantage of the next pause to walk to the nearest fountain and get some water. When the water hit his skin he realized something. Maybe it was the desert air he had been in for so long,or maybe it was the fact that he had been in that awful heat of so long. Whatever the case was James could feel the water not just on his skin, but on his chakra. The sensation was cold and flowing. James looked deep into the water. Time seemed to slow down as James ran his chakra through the water. He searched for every drop, every molecule of the foundation of life. James splashed a little bit of water on his face. Next, He took one of the blue bands off his sleeve and splashed water onto it until it was soaked through. then he soaked one of the bands from his other arm.
The air was so hot. This damn desert was already getting to him, and it was only his first training session as a Genin. the first thing he was going to get once he had some cash was a big canteen. wait... James had an idea. If he could feel the water in the fountain then could he feel the moisture in the air? James closed his eyes. With all of his focus James began to feel the air around him with his chakra for that same cold and flowing sensation of the water from the fountain. THERE. It was just a little amount. It couldn't be more than a thimble full, but it was there. having found the water, James focused on the air holding it. Mabye if he could circulate the moist air around him as he worked, then he could stay cool. James pushed his chakra into the mix and exhaled slowly as he walked through a few signals with his left hand. when James opened his eyes, he found himself covered in a thin layer of ice. James smiled, guess he had gone a little to far. James remembered that trick, It would come in handy later.

James had started to wonder about the idea of creating ice. If he could use that to defend himself. how much ice could he make? How long would the ice last? How strong would it be as a material. could he make different shapes? The idea was plausable. If he took all of the water he had in the air around him then he could do all kinds of things. All in all it wouldn't matter if James couldn't change the shape of his creations. A giant block of ice was only so useful. The easiest thing to do would be to form simple shapes, mabye a small Ice sickle or a triangle.
If the ground had any moisture in it then he could draw on that too. He would test that later. The first thing he needed to do was to head back to that nearest water source, that same fountain and borrow some more water for the formation of the ice. James scooped some water out and once again focused his chakra into the water and the air around him. This time james tried to focus the water into a little block of ice. With a small expenditure of chakra the block came into creation. Strangly it didn't feel very cold on James's skin. James set the block down and admired his handiwork. The block seemed to be sturdy,and its half foot square shape seemed to be properly constructed. Now that James had the ice made it was time to try and sculpt it. James struck the block lightly several times. It held agaist the blows. He struck it once with a heavy hand. The corner chipped but it did not break. James finally hauled back and hit it with all of his considerable size and power. The ice broke down the center and fell into two peices.
Now that he knew the strength, James stacked the peices on top of each other. once they were in place he focused his chakra into the ice and tried to move it around. it was a struggle at first, but with a little cocentration james was able to form a hand signal and get the two blocks to shake without him touching it. The good news was the ice seemed to be holding strong against the desert heat. James tried several more times but seemed to be doing something wrong. James tucked into the work once again and this time tried to use the wind to help him. The top peice of ice began to spin in place. James looked at the spinning top with one eybrow raised and stopped his effort. What could he do to make theice change shape?. Water could flow, but ice was held in place as a solid.
After a few minutes James was about to give up. It seemed that he had learned a useless skill. Then it came to him. Teperature decided the difference between ice and water. James used the wind to lower the temerature of the blocks untill they were just between the points of water and ice adjusting the water molocules to flow together he dropped the temperature and froze the water back into place. Both the peices were now whole again. James did the same thing once more, but formed a pyramid instead. Then he made a ball out of the ice. finally he pushed his full focus into the craft, and a small wolf statue stood before him.

With the ability to manipulate ice fairly down pat. It was time for James to make use of it. focusing on forming the ice he had created into basic ninja tools, James tried to form a needle at first. I took a lot of focus and a little chakra, but eventually a perfectly strait ice needle was formed. this would come in handy to deliver medicine or poison to a person. Next, James worked on making a shiruken.the basic shape was easy, but the points were difficult and the weight was a hard thing to get just right. James worked on a kunai once the throwing star was done, and had a better time with its larger and simpler blade.
Once he had made one of each weapon to the specifications of its metal counterpart, he stashed a ice Kunai in his pocket and walked back to the nurses area of the academy

James looked in on the others, and seeing that they were all still busy, went back to advancing his new found powers. Grabbing a training dummy and heading into a nice open clear room. he practiced forming ice needles and then throwing them at the dummy. James got the hang of it quickly. After about half an hour James had another idea. James stood the practice dummy in the middle of the room and gathered his chakra into the palms of his hands. forming hand signals as he went, he squatted down to the floor and pressed both palms to the earth. There was water hidden in the earth. reaching down into the grounds hidden moisture, james pulled it to the surface around the dummy. With a quick burst of chakra James froze the water and raised it up into pillars. once the pillars touched the dummy, James put in another burst of chakra and sealed his target in. With a little practice the technique would be faster. The technique would be deadly.

James really had something now. He could go on the offensive. Just how far could his control go? James centered his chakra and stretched his left palm out in front of him. James remembered that he could craft the ice into many shapes, but he didnt have to touch the ice to move it. So could he make moving ice sculpture? With his now focused chakra James froze the water in the air around his left palm and formed a series of birds with the ice. harnessing the sharp beaks of the birds, he launched one after the other. With thump after thump they skewered the practice dummy had brought earlier. James picked up the pace and started firing two or three at at time, and used the wind to make them fly. Finally he unleashed a whole flock of the birds, and hooked them into the target. after that it was time for a new practice dummy.

Arya, with a thankful smile, uncorked her gourd, and downed a few sips. The banter between the Nurse and Dr. Kaeru made her narrow her eyes, wondering if she had been the only one to pick up on that. She shook her head, and moved to the dummy. Chakra hit her fingertips, and she placed them on the dummy. Under her breath, Arya spoke to herself. "Perhaps the adults would like some time alone..." She smirked, but shook her head, focusing on touching key muscles, and 'relaxing' the dummy infront of her. If it were alive, she'd have definitely been on the right track.

James watched the other Genin practice using her chakra to relax and tried to envision how to direct and focus his chakra to heal another. James had learned to patch up almost any wound normally from his scraps on the street, but had never seen this before. That was why he was here.
James shrugged. He would need instruction on how to heal and destroy the body with his chakra ,but the ice was in his blood. James thought about what else he could do as he turned on of his ice needles in his hand. these were cool, but it was time to think big. Think big? Big needles? no...Big spikes. James focused up a large pool of chakra and worked his way through several hand signals. He focused on the moisture in the earth. Placing if palms to the ground James loosed his chakra into the earth. Using the moisture there, he pooled ice into a five yard section of empty floor and shot the ice strait up into spikes. the spikes arose from the ground with some speed. James stood up strait, and went to overlook his new work. The spikes had just stopped before the ceiling of the room. With a little manipulation to make handholds, James climbed up to inspect the points. They were needle sharp. Getting inventive with this was getting fun. James couldn't wait to actually try these moves out.

James let the spikes collapse and ran them into a big block. He could make tools. He could attack with flying shards. He could trap his opponent in an icy doom. He could impale his opponent on frozen spikes. Offense was no longer a problem. What could he do defensively though? There were all kinds of terrible techniques out there that could shred him if they hit, and being a big man he wasn't going to dodge them all. James decided that the easiest thing to do would be to keep it simple. James pushed both of his palms out in front of him. pulling all the moisture he could from the grtound and air, and using his already formed ice James formed a thick dome of ice around him. He left enogh room to move around, and then made an ice floor as well. this wshould do it. James dropped his arms, and let the technique fall.

"Be nice now, Dr. Kaeru, we have students here. We'll have our fun later, okay?" The nurse turned about to see how Arya was handling her patient. "Now that you've done a great job at loosening up the muscles & joints, we'll want to go in & extract the poison that is lacing their insides, as well as the other problems, right? But what if you don't have a resistance to the poison? We have another technique that is very similar to Cleanse: Teikouryoku (Power of Resistance). It'll also allow you to drink more without becoming inebriated." She winked after saying this, & a grin spread across her lips. "When you've mastered the resistance portion, I'll have you go over Tekishutsu (Extraction), which will allow us to fix several of the problems in our dummy here."

"This is me being Nice..." said Dr. Kaeru ominously as he reached into his pocket and slowly took out a single scroll, "Now..." he would say softly, the symbol on the scroll indicating that it was a Shiyou Seishin - (Experimental Bodies) scroll, "I doubt Ms. Sunshine would want me using these here... When you finish with the Childish Jutsu's visit me in my lab in the basement." he said smirking and throwing down his Yo-Yo again and heading down to his lab.

James answered the doctor with a curt nod and proceeded to try and follow Six's instructions. It took a while to figure out how to flow his chakra just right. when he was done however, James could feel his immune system boost. "That is a useful."

James thought for a bit and and realized that if Resistance was a inner working then Cleanse was an outer working. He had walked in on the Other Genin, What did Six Sensei say her name was? Arya, that was it. If he could use chakra the same way across his skin then that was it. James focused and rolled the chakra across his arms and face. "Cool"

Arya shuddered at the thought of how Kaeru actually had fun, but quickly brushed aside the thought, wanting to not char her mind forever. Arya nodded her head, and readied herself to build up a resistance. "I can see the uses for this..." Arya said under her breath. The hand seals flew by quickly, followed by the burst of chakra. She felt as if a second skin was being placed over her, keeping her body safe from any viruses that may come at her. The chakra enveloped her entire body, which caused her to glow scarlet for just a moment, before it went away.
